The evening began just like any other - "Where do you want to go eat?" Thankfully, I had WB's in my hip pocket. Trying to move my wife off her Rainman-like creature of habit mentality brings a degree of risk. Thankfully, she didn't feel like fighting me. And she will be the first to admit that she was glad I "forced" her into something new. The deviled eggs were well liked. The entrees for our group included the herb roasted chicken, burger, nachos, and prime rib. For the record, any time I see prime rib on a menu I order it just to see if I'll ever return to that restaurant. Needless to say, it was prepared exactly to specification, with a perfect balance of tenderness coupled with the au jus sauce. My wife, having sampled every plate on the table, couldn't stop raving about the overall quality of every entree. Needless to say, I now have a new "safe" restaurant to add to our repertoire. I hate to add it as a side note, but the service was spot-on and our waitress was a perfect blend of attentive without being disruptive. If I lived in Frisco, WB's would be our local go-to spot. Meal started off good. We enjoyed the roasted brussel sprouts. They were cooked and seasoned well. The portion was good for a sharable item. Overall, the entree portions for the two items that we had were a bit small. I had the pork tenderloin. It was under seasoned and dry. Glad there was pleanty of mustard sauce on the plate. Wilted spinach was overcooked as well. My wife and daughter wanted to split the burger. This is something they have done often in other restaurants. At least they feel like they had a generous helping of fries. They each received half a piece of wilted lettuce and a quater of a red onion. It is hard to believe that this burger was voted "Best in Frisco 2024." The embiance was nice. We had great ecpectations when we were seated and ordered. We cannot complain about our service. Food was fantastic and served in a comfortable and inviting environment. Service was outstanding - we were warmly welcomed by all of the staff and our server (Christian) was attentive and prompt. We started with fresh oysters and cocktails - both were delicious. At our server's suggestion, we ordered lamb bolognese and the smoked prime rib. Both were wonderful and the prime rib was tender and tasty, the queen's cut of the prime rib was so generous that I brought half of it home. For dessert, we shared a strawberry rhubarb crisp with lavender ice cream. Perfect ending to a perfect meal - we cannot wait to return with friends in the near future. Excellent food, great service and good drinks. We didn't take pictures but this time I got the salmon and my husband got the burger again (he loves it). We started with the yummy spinach dip. The food is phenomenal! Even the water tasted great. The prime rib is the best prime rib we've ever had. It was just a thick hunk of super tender meat, cooked to a perfect medium. The creme brûlée was very similar to Alton Brown's recipe, which I think is the best creme brûlée. The lamb bolognese had perfectly cooked Al dente noodles. Really just food at its finest. The interior is quaint and we were lucky to go when there weren't a lot of people there. If all the tables were full, I imagine it'd be quite loud in there, but the ambiance was perfect while we were there, even the music they played was great. The only and I mean ONLY complaint I have is when you scan the QR code on the receipt to pay, the auto calculated suggested gratuity is based off of the total, which INCLUDES tax. It's customary to tip based off the subtotal, why on earth would you tip on tax? I have no problem tipping the proper amount, but there is no way I am tipping on tax. Finally had a chance to check this place out and it did not disappoint. We had reservations and were promptly sat upon arrival. The space is intimate but bright. It gives the restaurant a welcoming vibe. The staff were super attentive and friendly. For apps we ordered the Meatballs, Candied Bacon + Deviled Eggs, and oysters. All of which were amazing and definitely would order again. For my entree I ordered the lamb Bolognese and it was to die for. Great seasoning and hearty. Pasta was cooked perfectly. Others at my table got the burger (which I will be going back for), the mushroom risotto (which they said was amazing), and the scallops (which they said was amazing as well). I won't be back. Let's start with that. I came for a business lunch meeting. My friend suggested this place and I went online to read about the restaurant and read about the chef being on the show "Chopped" and i was excited to try the "Gourmet food in casual setting" vibe. But sadly it didn't turn out what I thought it would be. It was quite disappointing. First let's start with the fact that when the candied bacon deviled eggs came out- the waitress herself caught it....There was a piece of hair attached to the food as she was placing it down on the table. GROSSSSSS! That was not a good start to our meal. She went back but I am not too sure if they really "switched" out the eggs or simply give us the same plate. No one knows...but no apology. Just bought out another plate....but when we tried it, It was SO bland, lacking flavors. I tasted deviled eggs from Whole Foods that tasted better than that. I do not recommend. And the bacon was just "OK" it didn't wow me. That plate was $16 for 4 little halves of eggs. See the photo. Crazy!!! She ordered the Scottish salmon (the chef explained it was "WILD FARM RAISED" salmon go do your own research on that. I will say that the fish was cooked perfectly. But again. The dish lacked flavors. It needs seasoning!!! That dish was $20. The chef owner came to talk to us about the salmon being "wild farm raised" but he seems cold and not interested. Maybe he's having a bad day but he looks like maybe he's not a people person. But then I realized later on he had a really great convo with the other table... I ordered the shrimp with grits. The sauce on my dish was tasty. Shrimp was ok. The grits was bland and lack seasoning again. Nothing spectacular at all. It was $24 and it was definitely lunch portion. We skipped desserts. Overall, it's overpriced for what you are getting. As a bonafide foodie who traveled all over the world. I get what he's trying to do with this concept. But honestly it was executed correctly. I don't feel that my lunch was worth $40. I saw the crowd that was dining in... and It makes sense why the food is bland. As it was mostly senior citizens. But I don't think this place is for anyone looking for a REAL gourmet experience. Oh you are going to PAY gourmet prices- you just don't get the quality of food the price demands..... skip it. I don't understand the positive reviews. Took a few people to WB's. Horrible! Burger was overpriced, way overcooked (asked for med rare and got way over well done), and no better in quality than any avg fast food. Even the fries were McDonalds caliber-American cheese tasted like cheap plastic. Appetizers (meatballs and calamari) were coarse and dry, service was ridiculously bad. Even when we entered, no one greeted us, told us to wait or sit-just stared at us. We had reservations and the place was empty, and the female waitress said she had only one table available for us and it would be tight. It was clear we were not wanted for whatever reason. My crew didn't eat any of their food minus a few bites. Mine actually made me sick. Just wanted to give my thoughts. Wont be headed back there again. read more

The food was 10/10. You can tell that the chefs thoughtfully plan their menu. The restaurant is gorgeous and still very comfortable. I was surprised how expensive those truffle fries were. They were as expensive as some entrees. The salmon was amazing - crispy on the outside and a perfect medium inside. While the food was great the menu is pretty limited and all of the food items are very rich. Food was great. All four of us got a burger with various toppings. I got the candied bacon that had a really nice flavor. We started with the buffalo cauliflower that was well battered and the buffalo sauce stuck to pretty well. Finally ended with the salted caramel cheesecake. This is one of those owner who cares and chefs/cooks who add talent and a little love to excellent food. We started with the spinach artichoke dip. It is uniquely delicious and creamy. We selected the croque madame for one dish. Image added. It was absolutely the best one I've had. The egg was perfect and the sauce was outstanding. I'm on a little bit of a restrictive diet and asked the owner to hold the sauce on my chicken piccata. He begin asking me about my choices for how they could create a delicious chicken dish and help me to avoid some cream, butter and probably rich decadent no doubt unbelievable sauce. They did it. He had the dish made with less fats and so much flavor. They lessened the amount of creamy potatoes and added extra wilted spinach. The entire dish was perfect for me and tasted so good. We saw some really delicious burgers and other foods come out. I highly recommend giving them a try. There is a comfortable atmosphere with a bar and tvs for sports. read more
