3/12/24: Stopped by to pick up a bottle of Malibu Black, and decided to look around at their large selection of rums. I asked Christopher about a sweet red wine, and he gave me a great recommendation. He was very friendly, and made me feel like a valued customer. I loved this store as soon as I walked in. It's huge! We drink like 5 times out of the year so I won't be here very often but when I need to, I'll be coming here! Don't shop here for wine. Not sure what they are doing different regarding storage but all the wine I've purchased here recently is bad. Different bottles and brands that I normally purchase and they are all bad BAD. Undrinkable bad. Not sure if it's because of the COVID situation or what. The service here is fantastic, and now they have delivery which is great!!! I wish I could give them more stars but they should really take care of their inventory. I've purchased several dozen bottles over the last few months, cab and Chardonnay and they were all horrible. Waste of money. If you want wine go to Wine & More. Big store with the variety & selection normslly found only in a larger city. Several brands and types of even obscure choices. Good absinthe array, huge cornucopia of vodkas, as well as interesting high-dollar liquors! My wife snd I like to wander around snd find new things. I don't need a $500 bottle of Patron, but now I know where to find it! Several steps up from Sigels-style stores, way bigger than any mom & pop store, and maybe one step down from the largest Spec's. Yesterday I was profiled in the Greenville Avenue store. I went in around 12:20p.m. to see if I could buy a small plastic bottle of Captain Morgan Rum to take on a road trip this weekend. I walked in, went straight down the rum aisle touched the smallest bottle on the shelf, realized it was glass and turned around to walk out of the store. I was followed by the security guard. I left the store and got into my car and was pulling out of the parking spot when the security officer came out of the store and asked me to roll down my window. I did, he then asked me where I put the bottle I picked up in the store. I was shocked, and replied that I had never picked up a bottle that I had touched the bottle of rum and realized it was glass and left the store. He then proceeded to explain that he is under instructions from management to watch women with big purses (Mine is NOT a big purse). I then voluntarily showed him my open purse to which he said, I don't need to see that. I responded that, "Obviously you do." I was shocked to say the least and will not be shopping there in the future. read more

I have been to many liquor stores in my life and this is one of the cleanest and reasonably priced stores I have been in Texas. They have a very large selection and people to find what you are looking for. The prices are more than fair, not as cheap as the big warehouse liquor stores. read more

I really like this liquor store! I don't generally go to liquor stores but when I do I want it to be clean, have a large selection, and reasonable prices......this store has ALL of those things. They have quite a large store with isles having each type of whiskey (Irish, Canadian, etc) and very reasonable prices. They also have a great selection of mini's! Thank god this place opened. I used to drive half an hour just to go to a liquor store that didn't gives me the skeevies. (Skeevies are those things in the pit of your stomach that say "you probably don't want to go in there"). This place is NICE and so conveniently located. We used to have to stockpile everything because we didn't know the next time we'd be in the area of a non-sketchy liquor store. Not anymore! I can buy a bottle here and there as I please, now! They have everything. Okay, maybe not everything. But everything a normal person could want. Of course mixers are high, but the actual alcohol is very reasonably priced, if not a little cheaper than their counterparts. The feel is very southern and woodsy, and about as big as your average CVS. So, in other words, you are not limited to 5 kinds of vodka. read more

They always send an employee down the aisle I'm on if I spend more than 1 minute trying to select a bottle. It gets really annoying, especially since I've spent at least a grand in there over the past 2 years. A lot of the beer selections are empty...not sure why they can't keep the beer stocked but my theory is the chain is having cash flow problems. They DO NOT have any single bottles of beer. A small section of Belgian 750ml single bottles would be nice or half liter German bottles. There is really no reason to go here except for convenience since the prices are about the same as a mom and pop liquor store. read more

On numerous occasions, when purchasing single bottles of Topo Chico, i have been charged for a 6 pack. They should have corrected this by now but have not. I was in there on 12-05-20 and they did to me again, no telling how many other customers they have over charged 8.99 instead of 2.59. THIS SUCKS! ON MANGEMENT! read more

Goody Goody! There are at least two liquor stores closer to where I live, but none of them carries Spicy Ballast Point bloody mary mix. The place is always clean, the staff are always friendly, and the place is always hopping but checkout somehow manages to be very efficient anyway. read more

As I drove down the street, I happened to get caught at a red light. I turn to my right to look over at this shopping center, and notice these two words on a building that say "Goody Goody". I thought to myself....Noooooooo waaaay....too good to be true....it can't be! So I make my way over to thd building, and YASSSS....it was a new edition to the strip of stores on Hwy 66. YaY (karate kick)!!!!! I jumped out of the car and got my shop on, and noticed that the prices are some of the best you'll find. The customer service was also excellent. Yes! The selection of French wines is HUGE. We are talking two aisles big with impressive varieties from many regions and an impressive selection of appellations in Bordeaux! The layout of the store is open and spacious. You can tell a lot of effort went into making this a comfortable buying experience. I am used to driving all the way Pogo's to get a wine shopping experience this good and wham--this place shows up in my back yard. I signed up for the loyalty program which rewards you with points for select wines that you buy. 1 point equals 1 penny. Well done guys. I will be back. P.S. My husband and I came to goody goody 02/01/19 at 5:27pm store #4 ref#7098141. We went to the register to the same cashier lady we usually go to. She was rude & asked to see both our ID's but my husband was the one paying, not me. She never asked us for both our ID before and there has been times she didn't even ID us since we are "regulars". But it's ridiculous for both of us to show our ID's. I didn't have my wallet because I wasn't the one paying unless I go in by my self. She told me to step away from the register and when I did she told me husband that she didn't have to sell him the liquor if I didn't step outside. I felt so bad and humiliated because everyone passing by was just staring at me like I did something bad. We didn't get the cashier name but she's always there and has red hair. She was the only reason we went back because everyone else was rude but now that she did humiliated me like that, it might just be the last time we go. NEVER AGAIN WILL I RETURN HERE! Would give it zero stars if I could. While I was making a decision on what to get saw a man walking around looking at me, didn't think anything of it. Got to the register and was told that I put a bottle of liquor in my purse. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I've never stolen a thing in my life. I willingly opened my purse so the man could see everything in there even pushed all the stuff around so he could see there was nothing in there. What he was accusing me of stealing were my phone and car keys. REALLY yeah that's what I put in my bag. As a native Dallasite I've been a fan of Goody Goody Liqour Stores for years from the Addison location to Oak Lawn to lower Greenville Ave. So imagine my excitement when I saw a location being built in my city of ROWLETT TX...YES! Well now after several visits to my Rowlett location I'm wondering if this one's is the same DFW group. Service is horrible, help down the aisle is hard to get as everyone's congregated at the registers and often time out of stock. A couple times I interrupted employee chatter at the registers for assistance on a product not on the shelves. The employee stared at the same shelf I did and with no extra effort he responded "Sorry I guess we're out" I replied "again!" I left and drove across the street and made my purchase from a very helpful and friendly smaller store. Going forward if we"re not near one of the Dallas locations, we'll opt to spend our money with to one of the customer focused Rowlett local/smaller liqour store businesses...not Goody Goody - Rowlett read more
