This little wine bar in Wylie, TX was so much fun. We did the wine tasting and we got a small charcuterie board. David was our guy and he was amazing , teaching us about the local wines and types of wine. Great atmosphere. David talked about the wine club and the benefits that came along with it. If we lived there, there would be no doubt we would join. Highly recommend, and when are done there, there is a whisky bar two stores down you can stumble over to, to finish off the night. Hard to write-I really did use to like this place! We decided to visit Landon Winery in Wylie, to have a brief time where my husband and I could unwind and catch up with each other. While we were there, we saw there was a comedy show at 7 PM. We thought that would be a great way to end the night, so we spent $50 in tickets to attend! From the beginning of the show, it was rough. The first comedian had to resort to using the N-word along with implicitly sexual motions and words to try and garner laughs. He then made a last effort and tried to make a joke about getting beat with a hanger when he was a kid. He then proceeded to say his little brother was also disciplined with a hanger for kicking his mother. The punchline of this joke was that the discipline was actually an abortion using that said hanger. We should have walked out then... However, the next comedian that came to the stage, spoke about his disability, and how he felt finally felt free on stage. I have worked with individuals with disabilities the past 20 years. It is my heart and soul. There is nothing more than I wanted for this "comedian" to feel successful, so we decided to stay. How disappointing it was that this man immediately used the "R" word in his jokes. As we should all know by now, that word, along with the "N" word should never be uttered by anyone, regardless if they feel they are speaking of their own community. After many more jokes that failed, he decided to open a monologue, declaring that "God is a woman". At that point, my husband and I gathered our things to leave. When he proceeded to say that his reasoning for this was because "God doesn't listen, just like a woman." We walked out. We tried to express our concerns to the employee behind the bar (a man with red hair) And he told us to be "open minded. ". He then proceeded to look down at his register, and never speak to us again. We were able to connect with a manager there, who was a very kind woman, and seemed to understand our concerns. However, that is not enough at this point, as we canceled our membership and upcoming deliveries for good. It is not enough that Landon Winery claims this was a "third-party" company that comes in and performs. The fact that they are associating their name with this, should be made known to everyone who does not align with those beliefs. If you're OK with it, great. I don't need your comments. Keep being a patron as usual, as that is your right. As for me and mine, we will never spend another dollar there! read more

This is such a cute little winery. The food and drinks were excellent. Will definitely be visiting again.

My first experience was throwing a small surprise party here. We checked it out a few days prior to the event, the day bartender warned that they do not have table service. Open your tab at the bar and return for each request. They were accommodating to our group, we ordered a few bottles and some bites. The food was served with in 15ish minutes & everyone was happy. Though you might request subs on the board. Some items disappeared while others were barely touched. Although, she wasn't our waitress, one staffer delivered all the food and brought coolers for our wine removed our empties. I wish more of the tip went to her. It's a little loud and some wine choices are limited but overall a cute, small town vibe, great place to grab a drink. read more

Beverly & Steve are THE BEST!!!! The wines are VERY VERY GOOD! I appreciate the guidance from Steve and the vibe of Beverly!! It was THE BEST stop I made and will be back! I was just going to grab a glass of wine and maybe a little pizza. Instead I opted to hang out at the farm and get a flight and a cheeseboard. Can I tell you that the prosciutto is incredible! I'm super picky about it as well and it was fantastic! The cheese was amazing the peppered crackers and then the sweet Ritz made it perfect for the different wines that I was tasting! I'm so happy that you were also close so I can come down here because I'll be here very regularly! Thank you so much for the amazing experience and amazing tasting wine! The building the winery is in in downtown Wylie is oozing with history! What a great space to try some fantastic wines. Steve took care of us, told us stories about the building, the surrounding area and of course the wines. One after the other was a hit. So much so we joined their Wine Club - a really great deal. We picked up our wine at their location at The Sound in Coppell at Cypress Waters - another great space! The outdoor area looked great, we'll get back there when the temps go down for sure. They have a couple of cabs that are really fantastic. Their blends are superb as well. My wife enjoys Sauvignon Blanc - did not disappoint - as well as bubbly. We took some bubbly home! If you enjoy good wine, know that Texas makes some really great wines, check these guys out for sure. I think there are 6 locations and they're adding another. read more

We just had my daughter's bridal shower here. I live in another state and was anxious about organizing a gathering from far away, Beverly, the event coordinator, was wonderful to work with! She was very responsive to any questions I had, usually answering within the hour. She made it so easy. The event turned out great! The two servers we had made everything go smoothly. We didn't have their food, so this review is of the wine and atmosphere. We ordered the Temparnillo, Pinot Nior, and the Texan. The staff are hard working and running around the floor like very tall Umpa Lumpas. The wines were very good, and it was half-price bottle night (not the actual name of the day)...so score! The establishment is an older building with exposed beams and wine bottles in wall displays. They have purchased the space next door, so the interior is quite roomy... except for half-price bottle night. You literally have to table troll if you want to sit inside. I like Landon winery. I've been to every location except Greenville. Each location has great ambiance and great staff. Wine is subjective. I'm not in love with the wine, but I always enjoy myself whenever I go. I always like to end with the chocolate finale. It never disappoints. read more

The wine is very good and during the pickup parties, you are served a complimentary tasting of the featured wines, delicious catered food and entertainment. My favorite wines are the Tempranillo and Viognier. I recently tried the small plate and I'm not addicted. It pairs very well with the Viogner and the Brie is delicious. read more

I was first introduced to Landon's by my friend group. As I've gotten a little older, I've ventured out of my comfort zone, and I've been willing to try new things. Wiley - Not really sure how I feel about this place. Wine was average and noise level was high due to high ceilings and a concrete floor. Food was pricey for what you actually receive. My biggest problem was that my $150 gift card was not honored because they changed their system. We will check out the McKinney location. read more

Absolutely Wonderful Experience in Every Sense of the Word! This was my first visit to the Landon Winery in Downtown Wylie and I was super impressed! I was there with 2 of my closest friends and they loved the experience, which is even more impressive considering my friend's wife is a culinary expert and chef! We loved the atmosphere and how Landon Winery has restored the character and the integrity of the old building. It was warm and inviting and comfortable. We really enjoyed the wine selections and were all in agreement that our favorite was the Texas Red Blend. They were all excellent, but this one stood out. I think what made our experience so amazing was our server, Lydia! She was so friendly and pleasant and had an excellent knowledge of all the wines. Again, my friend's wife is a chef with training and an education of wines and she instantly bonded with Lydia. I'm more of a fan of their white wines, as they have a few interesting ones (dry orange muscat, among others) They also have a small food menu offering cheese plates and stuffed peppers but I have yet to try anything. We went on Wednesday which is half price wine night so it was packed. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the wines are varied. We will certainly be back very soon. So this winery had great reviews and we checked it out. For Texas think the wine is decent, but it's not that great. The Texan was by far the best and the meritage was okay. But what really sticks out here is the customer service or lack there of. We went to a wine event for our pickup and it was way too crowded, and the girls serving had the worst attitudes. Maybe take a lesson from wineries in ca where you explain the varietal, care about your high paying customers and maybe take your time instead of sloppily pouring and walking away. We cancelled our membership because of this. Not a very pleasant place to visit. read more

Fun place! We signed up for the wine club. Not big discounts or anything but the wine pick up events every other month are very festive.

We will never, ever return. We are wine fans, and were looking to try out Landon and buy a few really nice bottles for a house party. Even though the place wasn't busy at all (maybe 2 tables had patrons and only one person was ahead of us in line at the counter), not one of the 3 women working made eye contact or spoke to us for 15 minutes. When we got to the counter, though we were flipping through the menu, the woman at the register didn't say a word or look at us. After several minutes, we just turned around and left. With so many fabulous wine bar and winery options within a half hour drive of this place, why would I ever come back? read more

Landon has, hands down, the best Texas wines in Texas. With so many choices there's something for everyone! From expertly dry reds to frozen sangria they are sure to satisfy any cravings. The Texan is definitely my favorite of the bunch. The service is always friendly, genuine, and helpful. I've never had a bad experience! I love how the Wylie location is located so close to home (garland) and feels a lot more chill than the McKinney location (but the both rock!) read more
