They have a lot of mattresses, lighting fixtures, some night stands and wall art. The bad: I was really surprised by the stuff in this store and the reviews. Half of the store lights were off when I entered. They had things like containers that were still filled with old sugar in it. I had a hard time communicating with the woman in the shop because I don't think she spoke English. I wasn't sure if I was allowed to go to the other half of the store where the lights were off. Another 1/3 of the store was blocked off with signs that warned you not to pass. The merchandise is stacked up extremely tall on shelves so it makes it hard for you to actually see the items closely. You'd have to request that they get a ladder to bring it down for you. It was super hot inside too. I saw plastic items like jars that looked more like something you'd recycle and get rid of. The interesting: This isn't a thrift store for clothes, kids stuff, or books. It's best for mattresses or furniture.

But as she saw me starting to flip through a rack of sweaters, she made a suggestion that I visit the "curvy boutique" because most items out on the main floor were smalls or mediums. I immediately felt embarrassed. You don't know who or what I'm shopping for. You don't know what clothes fit my body. I can figure out for myself what clothes work for my size and which ones don't. For reference I usually wear a small or medium top and I'm a size 10-12 bottoms. I know this is considered "plus" in the fashion world, but I'm not asking for advice. There are plenty of items in the store that I could have easily fit into, but after that comment I had no interest in shopping further. First off this place is huge! There's so much to browse through, and most sections are fairly well organized, though a few shelves and aisles looked pretty picked over and messy, which I mostly avoided. Still, the selection here is impressive. They carry everything from furniture, purses, shoes, and clothing to appliances, books, CDs, VHS tapes, DVDs, jewelry, electronics, vinyl records, dishes, and toys. My brother-in-law and I spent some time in the toy section and we both actually ended up leaving with some teddy bears. His was only $3, and when he looked it up in the store it was worth up to $70--he was so excited about that find! Overall my personal experience was very pleasant and the customer service I received was great. Most employees seemed friendly and helpful. I did notice a slightly awkward interaction between an older female employee and another customer browsing near the VHS/DVD and jewelry counter. The employee called out "next," which made it seem like she thought the customer was ready to check out. When the customer didn't respond right away, the employee called out louder to get her attention kinda sounded annoyed. The customer looked a little caught off guard and replied that she was just browsing before continuing to look around. It was a bit of an odd moment, but when that same employee ended up checking us out, everything went smoothly and we had no issues. Overall it was a fun thrifting trip and I'd definitely come back again. Next time I want to spend more time exploring the clothing section!
