Love this store! Huge selection of furniture, housewares, clothing, handbags, jewelry, etc. Yes, some things are overpriced but everything's negotiable. And the employees are really nice. I bought a ring, tea ware and a chanukiah for a big discount. And all proceeds go toward addiction treatment programs! Some things like tea cups and menorahs are scattered throughout the store, but although the shelves are full, they're not cluttered. It would be easier if the handbags were on hooks, not piled on the top of a clothing rack. Oh well, just keeps me from getting carried away spending. Will definitely be back! read more

Came here after deciding I needed an oil lamp in my life. Never been but wow what a great find. My only complaint is that I wanted every single thing in the store. The employees and even the customers were all so friendly. I did manage to find an oil lamp and also a mini copper bottle that has a spout that I'll probably use for oils. I managed to get out of there without buying anything else and that's only because I felt overwhelmed because again I wanted every thing. The value was great. The oil lamp wasn't complete but I did managed to find a top that would work and they just charged me for both as 1 item which I thought was pretty darned cool. Managed to find parking right out front. I will 100% be going back. read more

I shop here all the time well today was it for me I asked a price on some artwork and the older gentleman with the gray ponytail tells me " oh it's really expensive " $350 bucks was on the sticker he then proceeded to say make me a offer !!!!!! Before I can even open my mouth he said it's 350 for a reason you know !!!!!! And I'm like ok what's the reason because I don't see or get why it's priced that high i started to say never mind and just put it back. NEVER have I seen such high OVER priced items in a thrift store. They may have a good selection of items, but it's for the wealthy. I've made the comparison and you are better off at Home Goods and I don't think they should trick people into believing this used merchandise are normal prices. Negotiating is worthless. They seem to forget what the word THRIFT means in these bad times. You leave this place really feeling down. It's a real shame. read more

BTS used to be one of the best thrift shops in Los Angeles. But when they move to La Cienega something happened to them. They lost their way. Let's just focus on men's clothing which is what I care about. Every garment is simply jammed onto the racks. They're packed so tightly it's hard to pry them apart to look at anything. The section is messy and cluttered. With random pieces laying on the floor in the dust. What's good is that there are some suits for sale (two piece items are getting difficult to find nowadays). But every item is priced in the stratosphere. Ordinary shirts are $18. A pair of shoes I liked was $80. Some used eyeglasses were $38. These are not realistic prices! They're three or four times what the Ladies Jewish Council is charging and way more than GoodWill. I will say that if you're an attractive young lady and a male is behind the counter you will definitely get discount offered spontaneously. My cute blonde niece exploited this repeatedly!! I used to come here and get stuff when they first open they had the best prices and the nicest stuff. My sister told me that she had come recently and everything went up. Well I need a table for my mom and assisted living to put a mini fridge on and I went there today and the tables were scratched up and over $100 one was 80 they wobbly scratched up and they would not go down on the price. This is why people would rather go to HomeGoods and get something brand new and nice or Marshalls or TJ Maxx we can get something for 40/50bucks that is brand new And not rotted with scratches. BTS is a shop for all seasons! From whimsical holiday decor to festive seasonal clothing as well as everything in between. There is always an interesting mix of wall art, crystal, glass and kitchen ware, lamps, furniture (in door and out). Mordy, Danny and all of the staff are beyond helpful and everything is negotiable. If you don't find something the first time, something great will find you the next. And the proceeds go to programs and support for people with addiction issues. This is an odd one. I don't feel it's really a thrift store, maybe they take everything without discretion but these are more like consignment prices. Pants were either eight or eighteen dollars exactly, no matter if they'd been there since October 1 (it's going on December 1). No rhyme or reason why some stuff cost more. They had a Juicy Couture tracksuit in my size for $38 which is honestly a good deal...again, for a consignment store. But I'm shopping here because I need thrift store prices to have a wardrobe to use while my stuff all was destroyed from a fire. I agree with all the comments about price points. Their Black Friday deal was half off anything over fifty bucks, just as an example. Most people choosing to even walk in to a thrift store don't have fifty dollars for one single item. That is not your target clientele. Proceeds support drug rehab but I don't take nonprofits at their word after witnessing them irl, so take that as you will. It won't convince me to come back here when the selection is super average but the prices are not. read more

Worst thrift store I've ever been in. The moment you walk in, you're met with dust and a musty odor but sometimes you can find treasures where you least expect it so I went in despite my first instinct to leave. EVERYTHING is way OVERPRICED. Even with their "50% off" scam it's still expensive. Nothing is neat, clean, organized or tidy. No one is on the floor helping customers or cleaning. They literally jam pack the racks to the point that you can't easily look at the items which means many items fall to the dirty floor. Purses and other items are piled, and I mean piled high on top of each other. I saw broken items in the back area and left immediately. This is a great location and it's unfortunate that they are trying to price gouge customers for items that were donated for their cause. I buy most of my wardrobe at thrift stores in an effort to help the environment and I love thrifting so much. I highly recommend Council Thrift on Robertson where I bought a brand new gown for $35. It's extremely clean and every item passes quality control. There's one on Santa Monica as well. I frequent Goodwill and even though it's hit or miss, it's still very organized and easy to flip through the racks. BTS would benefit from hiring someone to keep their store clean and organized or customers won't return. Very disappointing. I won't be donating items here either because you want someone to get excited about buying your pre-owned items (in great condition) at affordable prices. I mean, you can go to Ross and buy things brand new for much cheaper than this thrift store - that says a lot. I always recommend second hand before new though. read more

The prices here are truly outrageous. I came in looking for some art to freshen up my feng shui. I had been before at the old Culver City location and got some great pieces for a very reasonable price... that is no longer the case. So much of the artwork they have is sun bleached. All of the frames are dinged at best and practically destroyed at worst. The prices! Like $450-$650 was typical, $100 on the low end for somebody's daughter's painting class work from 40 years ago in a decent frame that is now damaged... don't waste your time. Caveat - if you are looking for period pieces to decorate a set and money is not an object then you just might find what you need. read more

I feel a lot of the home decor, vases, and kitchen stuff are overpriced. Saw some cute china plate sets. Some clothing items are also overpriced. There could be a dress or sweater for $8 or $80.
