i'd never come back here after they ripped me off when i got new tires through them. they get two stars because that part was fine--the tires came quickly, i dropped the car off before work, they installed them in the morning, and it was ready for pickup after work. however, they did an oil change and charged me for it after lying and saying i had no oil. i had just gotten service a month ago at the dealership that included an oil change and oil filter (this car is not my daily driver so i put less than 300 miles on it in that time frame). when i found out about it, i told them they shouldn't have done it without checking with me, that the oil change was full and clean when i dropped it off. they said it was completely empty, nothing on the dipstick, and said "that is weird" when i asked them where it all would have gone. they couldn't find a leak, no oil under the car, no oil under the hood, no burning oil smell... i was thinking it would be a serious issue if my car truly was empty on oil but apparently there was nothing amiss at all. they didn't even keep the brand new OEM filter on, they replaced it with a cheap one and charged me for it. what's more, they removed the little window sticker that said it wasn't due for an oil change for another 3000 miles and they didn't even put a new one up to let me the new mileage. i honestly don't even know if they changed the oil because it was just as full and clear when i brought it in. buyer beware, do not come here. if you do, i would recommend specifically disallowing any other services in writing unless you want to be ripped off. read more

Took my car too this location had a flat tire in which I had my spare tire on. At first they didn't know what the issue was and came down to the conclusion it was a beading issue supposedly fixed it. Came home and within 2 hours the tire was flat. called back and they blame that the issues was d/T the prior manager who sold me the tires. First, it is not the manager issue, always went to the Goodyear where he went he was at due to the fact of his knowledge of car issues for the last 15 years. A week in advance scheduled an oil change. When I got there I was told they were overbooked and only had two technicians. And it could take up to three and a half hours for an oil change. The reason was because they overbooked. Even though I had an appointment. And then they had the audacity to upsell me on the most expensive oil change. Had to cancel the appointment and book elsewhere. read more

By far the worst customer service and attitude ever. I came in for 2 brand new tires. Orlando Trinidad (store manager) quoted me a price and I said "ok, let's do it". I got the receipt and he added a road hadzard fee of $35.66 x2 without asking. I asked him, "why did you add that without asking?", Orlando replies with an attitude, "what, you don't want tire protection? Np, you get a nail or anything you'll have to pay for a new tire" Is this how managers treat customers? Is this a Firestone Policy, just add random fees/services without asking first? So I take my 2011 chevy silverado 1500 in the Goodyear service center on st road 54 in Odessa Florida on April 16th for dead Battery they sold me May of 2023. The Manger comes outside with a meter and hooks it to my Battery. He then jumps in my truck and steps on the gas reving my engine, he had to have had my peddle to the floor for 30-40 seconds. It was so bad I had to step away from the front of my truck in fear. After he was finished he jumped out fiddle with the meter like he did not know what he was doing. Fiddle for about 2 min. He then said yep its bad, meter says change battery. He shut truck off and said can you leave it hear the battery should be under warranty. I said sure I will pick it up after work. I uber to my office, not even an hour later I receive a call from said Manger that we have bigger issues. I said what issues? He said I went to start your truck to move it to a parking spot oil started shooting all over MY PARKING. Yea he blew one of my Rods threw the bottom of the engine. So I uber back to Goodyear to have my truck towed to a dealership to get checked out. When I get there they had pushed my truck behind the service center out in the street. Mind you my truck was a well maintained vehicle. Oil changed every 4 months or 4000 miles even on Synthetic. I constantly maintenance this vehicle. The dealership diagnostic confirmed a rod through the block. So I return to the Goodyear service center to start a claim , I question the Manger on his actions of reving my engine to a point of recklessness and I beleaved that's what caused the rod to go through the block. He said I haver seen this in my entire career, and he was not sure if that caused it he needed to check if it was the battery or alternator. FAST FORWARD to the claim process, claims specialist contacts me. I need your last 2 oil changes, I send them both and both within 4 months and 4000 miles. Now they want a 3 rd party investigator to look at the vehicle, I tell them sure why not use what the dealership came up with. They are a 3rd party. He said no its not worded correctly. I said hmm ok. He then tells me to pick a place . So he wants me to give him the address of a place a contact of the shop and they will send thier 3rd party investigator to inspect my vehicle which is Nationwide which oversees all there claims. Yes that's right the claims employee wants me to do all this leg work and they are insisting on this inspection. Oh but they will pay for the vehicle to be towed. So I witness this Negligence but yet I still have to go through this all. Mind you the claims employee Threatened,that he would have no choice to denie my claim if I did not provide an address and contact person with a lift that they can do a 3rd party investigation. I have nothing to hide with my truck but dam why should we have to do their work for them. This is still on going but very frustrating see I witnessed the mangers Negligence. Literally the worst car experience ever. Scheduled an appointment to have work done online with a promotional discount. At location told you need a coupon so I went back online called the help desk who called the store and sorted it out. (There was no coupon ever) 2.5 hours later and work hasn't started... was told that no one ever knew to do work. Then find out parts weren't even there. I missed hours of my work because I requested they honor the promotional discount on their own website. Do yourself a favor and literally go anywhere else. read more

My wife and I had new tires put on our Mercedes last year. The tires are good; however, when we went to have our annual service done, our lug nut locking kit was missing. We've not had any tire work done since the new tires were put on. The shop denied having the kit, but we know that someone took them because this was the last time we had tire work done. If they don't have them, wondering how they got the tires off....hmmm. This was the 2nd incident we had with this shop. The first was when we had an oil change done on our daughters car. Several days after the oil change, our daughter started getting a warning light. When she took her car to get looked at, the oil cap was missing! The other shop put on a new cap and the warning light went off. If you're looking for work to be done on your vehicle, DON'T go here!!! The visit will only cost you more money down the road. I now have to purchase a new locking kit for our car and my daughter had to pay for another service on hers. Out over $200 and the shops response "no, we didn't do that". HORRIBLE!!! read more

I had a tire blow out, and after a mile of driving on the rickety spare tire, I was able to find one place that was still open and willing to help me out (I tried the tire place across the street, and they said they were too busy to help me out). Goodyear was able to help me, even though it was after 6pm. They had a limited tire selection, but they had what I needed, and the price was reasonable. The manager, John, was very friendly. Stopped by to have a leak in my tire looked at and when I walked into the store there was a person at the counter. There was NO goodmorning NO hello NO nothing!!! So without any greeting at all I figured I was already there and proceeded on. But after a few minutes of being treated with no interest from him while giving him my info I explained that the least he could have done was to say hello when I walked in. I then told him I did not appreciate his attitude and walked out. I visited this Goodyear location in Wesley Chapel for a full diagnostic on my car that I had just bought, and an oil change. They told me the car seemed fine, and explained what the code from the check engine light meant and explained it wasn't a problem. This was around this same time last year. Fast forward to March and my car begins having issues where the battery would die while I sit idle at a stop sign, stop light or fast food food drive thru. I take the car to a Good Year on South Dale Mabry. I only spoke with Chuck, who was nothing but friendly and understanding the whole time despite my frustrations. They had my car for 2-3 days, They diagnose the problem as my alternator failing and not charging my battery. They also upsell cleaning my brake lines which I took. I was satisfied despite my original quote of $420 having increased to $550 and an additional $100 for the brake lines and other addons. I was told the car should be fine now. 2 weeks later and my car breaks down in the EXACT same way that it was breaking down before. If the alternator was the issue then why would it be doing the EXACT same thing it was doing before. I take it back to Good year and they diagnose it that day as an electrical wiring problem that would cost me an additional $30 quoted. They said that they tested the alternator and it was failing so that is why they must have missed the faulty wiring. However if they had fixed the wiring to begin with, they confirmed they would have no way of knowing how long my "failing" alternator would have lasted be it 2 weeks, 6months or years. But the second fix was obviously a significant price differential even with the cost of labor set aside!!! When Chuck quoted me $30 for the cost of the wiring piece he said the car would be ready monday. Come Monday I hear nothing from them. I call Monday before they close because I hadnt heard back from them to pick Up the car and Chuck tells me they're at the mercy of the Ford dealership to send the part. Wait a day and hear nothing so I call back on Wednesday. At this point I am without a car for approximately 3-4 days and it is affecting my job. Chuck tells me the same thing from Monday and says his manager will call Thursday to give me an update on when my car will be ready. I hear nothing from them on Thursday and Friday. Extremely unprofessional to promise a manager will call me and not hear anything back.Now I am a week out of a car and its really having an impact on me getting to my job. I have my dad call on Sat. because I have a feeling they're ignoring me/screwing me over because I am a young female. They immediately tell him my car is actually ready for pick up and Chuck calls me 5 min after my dad calls. When I pick up my car Chuck tells me the ford dealership kept sending them the wrong piece and they had to get the piece through a local avenue instead which is why it took so long to fix which is NOT what he had been telling me originally that they were waiting on the piece from ford, I drop it because stuff happens. However when I check out my charge is now $45 instead of the original $30 quoted. Whatever. So now, not even a month from that fix. I was sitting idle for not even 10 min when my car over heats, makes an awful smell and dies. This time I had a different mechanic come look at it and they told me my serpentine belt had come loose but it looked in good condition so it could be an issue with my tensioner. But the belt could have come loose from shoddy work from the Good Year, of course they denied it being a side effect of their work. Extremely disappointed in Good Year as I have only heard good things from my friends and family and feel I received anything but good care. The manager and the sales associate were so patient with me and gave me the best deal hands-down in town and online. I checked everywhere! They had my car ready to go in no time and even repaired a tire sensor on my car for free. It is a true gift when you can find an honest, caring place to take care of your car. The car was shipped to New York on a multi car carrier 3 years ago and the brakes have been crummy ever since. Took it to a shop there and the brakes work but sound terrible. Drove it down to Tampa and it just kept getting worse. Grinding. Metal on metal. Took it in to South Tampa Goodyear on S Dale and after a few days, some serious dinking around, and a few bucks, it is like new. They had to order the extra parts at no additional cost. The one guy said the other guy was fussy. I like fussy. And grateful for guys that want to the right thing. read more

I had my warning light on for my tire for about a week and was dreading going in to get it taken care of, as I had experienced terrible customer service with other Goodyear / tire stores in general. I work in sales, and this was my 5th tire in 2 years... I deal with a lot of places like this, if you can imagine. When I went in, I dealt with Sean (spelling?), and he was absolutely wonderful. When I didn't understand something, was impatient, and just frustrated in general about having to get it taken care of, he handled the situation with patience, understanding, and a bit of humanity. He talked with me while I waited, telling me about his family and experiences, and for the first time, I wouldn't mind having to go back for another tire issue. The best part? With the road hazard warranty protection (or whatever they call it), the new tire was only $24 - basically the cost for the installation and rotation. For an industry known for frustration and lacking customer service, Sean was an exception. Thanks for the help. Hopefully I won't be back soon! read more

My husband just took our Toyota Sienna in for a low tire. No appointment and they were great. We are from Texas and will be going home soon so they told my husband it was a good thing he came in since it had not caused much damage yet. Best of all no charge for patching the tire. Hello all.ok i called twice and this manager couldnt be nicer (pat)he told me to come on in at a certain time when he new he had a bay open .i got there a a half hr early and chuck waited on me very nice and pleasent.after a hour he came out and told me my rotors were thin .but somewere in the conversation the word of all 4 rotors were not replaced but pat said no problem it will be another half hour no extra charge . so i sm very satifised with the customer focus and satisfaction. After seeing if TONS of places could patch my tire before an early interview I had, I explained my situation to Goodyear and they said they would fit me in. Stopped in early on a Saturday morning with a nail in my tire. I was in need of a quick fix, as I had plans to travel in the afternoon. The manager let me know they were completely booked with appointments, but if I had some time, I should wait around incase someone didn't show up. Happened upon this place (after inflating the tire once again at a tire shop nearby). They repaired the tire for free, even though I didn't buy the tires there and the tires aren't Goodyear. In addition, the customer service was outstanding. I will go there first from now on for all of my tire needs. read more

I've been going to this Goodyear for many years. I see the same guys and they always treat me with respect. I've had two incidents where a nail and a screw were in my tire and they patched it up for free. They have good prices on tires and service and even though the facilities are simple, it's right next to multiple gas stations for food or drink, and across from Britton Plaza to kill time if needed. read more

Needed a headlamp replaced and stopped in to this Goodyear center around 4:30 p.m. on a Wednesday, hoping for quick service. Learned that they were short a technician and the one there was going home in a half an hour. Shaun, the sales associate, was speedy and super courteous. Most importantly, Eric, the technician, did the work, quickly and perfectly. I went to get Integrity tires. When they were finished with the car, it was raining like crazy, so I went to eat lunch. The rain had stopped when I went to leave lunch, so I checked out my tires. They had put Kelly Explorers on instead. This tire is a poor second to a Goodyear. They also charged me for valve stems that were never replaced. My daughter had to leave to go to college, so they got lucky I didn't get the opportunity to go back. Very poor business practice!!! read more

Brought my truck in to get everything check seeing as I bought it site unseen and had it shipped to Tampa. Turns out all they changed all of the fluids and I did need a new battery. Ok. I pay and leave. TWO days later my alternator went out. So I take it back. Got many apologies because obliviously they didn't do their job correctly. They quoted me a price to replace the alternator, it was fair so I agreed. But this time I stayed around to watch. I leave feeling some what ok or partially redeemed. So, I bring them a few friends of mine to show I believe in them and develop a relationship. Thinking what hadn't been the first time I asked him to look up what was really done to my truck fluid wise. They didn't check the trans or the radiator. They quoted me a price I didn't like but then the manger was going to hook it up and save me about $125 so in total. Would be paying 180 plus tax to get it done. That's better than 305. Well I bring it back the next day to get it done and nobody knows about the deal and we're going to charge me full price. When I asked for the manager that work out the deal he was on break. Since they wouldn't honor the price the manager quoted me they said they would have him call me when he got back. Instead of getting him on the phone right then to verify. I walked out and have yet to receive a phone call yet. This was about 2 or more weeks ago. So I firmly believe that this place scams and rips people off! Pricing is all over the place you can get a different quote from each employee, they don't do the work they say they do, and once you figure it out they ignore you. I believe the managers name was KEVIN TERRITO I got the quotes and no call from. No attempt on their part to make things right. Just very unprofessional and a bunch of scam artist. For me, I will not let them touch my vehicle ever again. Unless it was free and I sat there and supervised to make sure they were doing what they said.
