This place does not pull your drain plug. They try to suck the oil out through your dip stick. They left 13 oz of dirty oil during my oil change. I know because I brough my own oil for them to change. That means 13oz of the dirtiest oil was left at the drain plug. Unacceptable. Do not go here if you care about a proper oil change. After complaining and wanting my $58 back for the oil change and 6 Quarts of oil and a filter. they turned me over to their insurance company. Previously had great experiences with Take 5 and excited to send my son to get his first oil change by himself. The staff took advantage of the situation and over charged for a service he did not need. Came home with a $250 invoice, wife tried calling but no one picks up. She went there, spoke to the person that had sold the unnecessary service to our son and he didn't know what to say. Wife wanted a refund and he said only the manager could provide refund and he wasn't there. Wife left her phone number and one week later no contract. I cannot believe my dealership is better, faster and cheaper. So disappointed. I hate that the customer service varies so greatly depending on who is on duty. They always try and upcharge you and add on. Some of the explanations are scammy and bs. They always want you to get the most expensive oil change and will always recommend replacing your filter even if you just replaced it. PS you can replace your own filter for a lot less. I waited over a half an hour and I can do that in the dealership waiting room. Always check for coupons online if you decide to go because they won't tell you they are available. This was a spontaneous decision but I can't deal with the inconsistency in price and service. I will just stick with the dealership from here on out. read more

Take Five just took twenty. Pulled in for an oil change. Very nice gentleman gave me a cold bottled water and guided me to pull my car in. Waited and waited without any communication or service. Twenty minutes later I asked how much longer. The response was, " You are next." Does that mean two minutes? Twenty more minutes? When I explained I had already been waiting twenty minutes, two employees said, "the previous customer's car had a leak, but normally it only takes ten minutes." I knew this as I have been a loyal customer (at least four changes previously). I asked to make an appointment but they informed me they don't take appointments. I was now going to be late for a lunch since it would be a minimum of 15 more minutes. The female employee motioned me to pull out without another word. Four employees and only one other car and nobody could even start on mine? Good news is I found another place that was friendly, efficient, and I saved money. read more

They put the wrong oil in my car. Says right on the cap 5w30 and they put in 5w20. The guy also pretended to read the tire pressure indicated on the door panel and called out 36 psi which I knew was wrong. The recommended pressure was on the other panel. And it's 30. Horrific experience. How does an oil.change place put in the wrong engine oil? Again, it's marked on the cap. And taking a wild guess on my tire pressure after pretending to read the info off a door panel? Yikes. SAFETY ISSUE. This place is a NO GO. DANGER. On top of it all that they are expensive. I requested a simple conventional oil change but had been up-charged for an oil filter and they put synthetic oil in my car. Because they never told me about it, I didn't know this until I got the bill. Both items are things that were not requested or wanted. I usually go to the Take 5 on Kennedy however they didn't have my filter and I desperately needed an oil change so I drove the extra 10 minutes (so far, I know right?) to get this accomplished. Totally fantastic service with a friendly staff. It is run efficiently and effectively and I can say this because I went on a Saturday mid-morning when any oil change establishment is slammed. Very clean, and they do have a cool scenario where you can reverse your vehicle into a parking spot while you wait to be on-deck for your change. They don't try to oversell you on anything which is always appreciated. I may just switch and go here for now! read more

Just came for my first ever oil change and I think they were very aware it was my first time so I just paid $182 (they did discount me tho so that was kind) for a filter replacement people said I definitely didn't need and an oil change, to which they put the wrong weight in my car. They were all very nice and funny to talk to but whoever was entering my information clearly didn't know what he was doing. I procrastinated on getting an oil change. Normally I would go to the dealership but waited too long and was in need so I tried Take 5. Guys were nice enough. But they didn't have the correct oil filter so he ran down the street to the auto parts store. Came back with nothing but said they would be shipped the next day. Verified my phone number and said he would call me. Never called...that was two months ago. Also immediately had something leaking out from under the hood...no clue what it is.
