I am writing to share my recent experience with Goodyear, which has left me deeply disappointed with their service and warranty policies. In December 2025, I purchased a set of all-weather tires for my Honda Pilot and was very happy with them. Because of that positive experience, I bought a second set of the exact same all-weather tires for my daughter's Hyundai Sonata on March 30th 2026. Shortly after the purchase, my daughter noticed a bulge in the sidewall of one of the tires. I took the vehicle to an authorized Goodyear dealer to have it inspected. The dealer assessed the tire and denied the warranty coverage, claiming the bulge was caused by a pothole rather than a product defect. While any product can have a fault, they completely dismissed that possibility and attributed it entirely to road impact. Furthermore, the resolution process took close to a week, during which my daughter had to drive on a compromised tire while we waited for the official denial. To resolve the issue, they offered a "50% discount" off an MSRP of $480, bringing the total cost to $280 with services. However, I only paid around $280 per tire when I bought them brand new less than 60 days ago. Expecting a customer to shell out another $280 for a brand-new tire so shortly after buying a full set is not right. I am simply sharing the truth of what happened. If you don't want your car to be destroyed, don't go to that service. 2021 was OK. Problems started in 2022 and went into 2023 - every single visit! 1. Installed new tires. Soon discovered valve on a rear tire is loose and leaking air. Had to bring the car back to fix that. 2. Changed rear brakes and after leaving the service discovered that brakes are burning. Brought back the car. They fixed something using a hammer (saw that). Now the brakes are ok but the rear wheel makes strong creaking noise. Booked an appointment in a different service. 3. Changed door actuator, even did not care to put cover back - left hanging. Fixed myself. 4. Changed right tie rod, alignment to be done in a week. Brought the car in a week. They "aligned" wheels, I paid for that. Problems started immediately. At a speed of 35k/h car suddenly was pulling left and to straighten it needed to turn steering wheel right and keep it ~15o off the center. Today took the car to the really good mechanic I knew for years (unfortunately far). In 5 seconds the guy told and showed me that alignment was NEVER done, they just charged me. Additionally to that, one of the joints was broken and the wheel was loosely moving right and left about 2 inches almost falling off. Rob is a good guy but guess there is no a qualified staff and he gave them too much freedom, not checking what they really do. Very, Very BAD! read more

I took my car in to Ontario Tire & Automotive Service Center for a second opinion. Another auto mechanic company had told me I needed major work to the front end and brakes and I just didn't believe it 100%. ...the owner of Ontario Tire, Rob, looked at it very carefully and phoned to say that, 'yes, we could do a little work on a ball joint but it's definitely not imminent nor dangerous. And my brakes were completely fine with lots of 'meat remaining'. The $ amount Rob charged for all his time and work was unbelievably cheap. Wanted to extend my apologies to Rob and his team at Ontario Auto, awhile back I had posted what I thought I was taken advantage when I brought in my car for an alternator. Rob had called me and explained that the after market part had cost more than the original Honda part that I had inquired about. He took the time to forward me his cost from his supplier and do whatever it took to make me happy- very classy move and reason why they continue to run a successful operation. read more
