Car service, especially when you don't have much decision-making power when you're 3 1/2 hours from home is kind of a best guess. This time, I guessed right. Easton Goodyear was friendly, helpful, worked with the warranty people and kept me informed all the way. I drove home yesterday and after the initial concern if they got it right or not, I felt able to trust they fixed my problem and I can confidently drive this car going forward. We were at a conference in the Dells and my car wouldn't start. Corey was amazing on the phone and talked me through what could be wrong and things to try. We ended up needing a new battery and the CarQuest next door was able to get that switched out for me. Then my entire dashboard was lighting up and the mechanic at Goodyear checked it out for me. The customer service was TOP NOTCH and I would definitely use them if I lived in the area. They cared for me like a family member and made sure I could make my drive home the next day. Worse mechanic I've ever dealt with! When our car's check engine light came on, we brought our car there as they are close by. We were told it was the oxygen sensor and that the car needed a ton of other things, totaling over $1,000!! So, we stupidly paid for it, but less than a week after picking the car up, the check engine light was on AGAIN! We brought it back there and now they tried to scam us for more money, saying it was something else! Even worse, they said that it was something they "should have caught" so they were "willing" to only charge us half the price. In other words, they double charged us and then offered to take off half the price. How nice of them! When I politely voiced my concern in an email to the service manager, Jacob Lazarz, he rudely responded to me, telling me he would not accept or tolerate that I would insinuate they were doing anything underhanded or that they were incompetent. I guess the truth hurts, but you would think that a service manager would be more professional to a us, a customer that just spent a ton of money there only to have a magical new problem less than a week later. If they were so confident in their skills, then there would be no need to be rude. The unprofessional response from the service manager proves that they don't like being called out on their scam and incompetence. But wait, there is more! My husband agreed to pay the additional scam money they wanted to charge us, but when he went to get the car, they attempted to charge him a higher price!! When he told them it was NOT the amount they quoted him, they backtracked and charged the original scam price. Bottom line: awful service, incompetent work, and a rude and shady service manager. Terrible Car Service / Mechanic Shop. Took my car in because the steering wheel was shaking while driving. Instead of a simple alignment, they sold me 2 whole control arms to replace the ball joints. My car drove in all right, but couldn't get the Transmission to go in gear when I picked up the car. I had to use another shady car towing company to take my car to another shop to replace the transmission. TAKE YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

I was just passing through the Dells for a few days when my diesel pick up started making a strange noise and the check engine light came on. My father and I were on a cross country trip to take me (and all my stuff!) to grad school on the east coast. A little ways into WI, our car started making funny noises and we pulled off into Wisconsin Dells for the night. It was too late to get to a shop then; we had to wait for morning. My one and ONLY gripe about this shop is the hours. We would have loved to get in before 8, but that is a minor issue. Mark W. and his team fit us in as soon as possible (about an hour and a half after we showed up at the shop first thing in the morning). They quickly took the car in, checked it out and thankfully found that the problem was far more minor that we had feared. We ended up being able to continue our trek far sooner than expected. Mark seemed happy to chat with me and my dad in the office and joked with us, lowering out tension and stress as we waited for the verdict. Took my car to Their shop for work on my car Jacob the manger at the shop test drive my car with me and told me it needed a transfer case and a passenger wheel bearing . So he 5 days later he called me told me it was done and ready to be picked . So I took of from work and when I got there and took it for a rest derive it still made same noise as it did before they fixed my car so they test drive car again and now they sent out lady that worked there beacuse Jacob their manger wouldn't come out to talk to me told me it needed now a driver side wheel bearing so I left car there . So they called my on a Monday again told me car was ok and this time still did t fix the problem so I left with my car . Please don't take your car there Jacob and his mechanics don't know how to work on cars read more

They used to be awesome but once their manager quit and they replaced him this new manager is horrible. It took me two days to schedule an oil change. Every single time I call now it almost always goes to voicemail. I would recommend a change in management. read more

LET ME START BY SAYING IF I COULD PUT A 0 FOR STARS I WOULD. Now that I made that clear, I came here to get my oil changed, 2 days of driving my vehicle on all Highway and Interstate roads I noticed the smell of burnt oil, amd once my friend said he could smell it, I took a look under the hood. All over the engine bay and under the hood itself was covered in oil. The oil cap was not on. I called, and all they said was bring it in, and we will take a look. On the way there I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt in my head like perhaps it wasn't on all the way. However after waiting for someone to come take the car to get a look at it, the same guy that worked on my car before (Brandon), came out and nonchalantly said "Yeah I saw after you left I never put it on". He did not seem remorseful, especially at the fact that they had my number on file and could've given me a call shortly after I left, when he noticed he didnt put it &never did.... now here we are 2 days of dangerously below negative weather, and miles of driving later, without a single apology. When I walked in and heard the owner on the phone with lawyers for several minutes when I came to get my oil change done I should've taken my business elsewhere. Hopefully the beautiful vehicle I just bought, doesn't have serious damage due to carelessness. read more

My family is currently visiting the Wisconsin Dells for a vacation. On the way here, I noticed our A/C was not blowing as cold as normal and after our arrival, it became almost nonexistent. I made some calls and was able to schedule a service appointment with Platt's towing and dropped it off at 9:00 a.m. for service. At about 10:15 that morning, Platt's called me and informed me that a semi hauling garbage had overturned and they had to send all of their employees to assist and would be unable to fix my A/C after all. I was disappointed but I certainly understood, since the semi blocked the main route in and out of the main business area, but I was now back to square one, with my family heading back to Michigan on Monday. It being Friday and the forecast for upper 80's on Monday, I was dreading the drive back and could already hear my kids complaining that, "It's tooooo hot back here" on the return drive. When I returned to our room, did a quick search on Yelp and Goodyear popped up with a high rating. I called in and they told me they were packed, but if I could bring it by, they would squeeze me in. I arrived at around 12:30 and the gentleman at the counter was very friendly and helpful. He told me his crew was at lunch but they would work me in upon their return. Shortly after 2, my A/C was recharged and I was on my way. I was so grateful that they not only got the A/C going, but made the extra effort to get me in that day. My car broke down and it took these guys 2 days to not figure out what was wrong with my car! I ended up having to rent a car to drive home. They changed 2 parts that didn't fix anything! I ended up figuring it out on my own with a little internet research, drove up the next and showed these fools how to fix my car! They charged me for labor which i shouldn't have had to pay since these guys are under qualified to do there job. Don't go here unless you want to get ripped off! The owner is rude and very unhelpful! Stay away!!! read more

Yesterday, on my way home to Madison from Wisconsin Dells, my tire warning light came on in my car. I was alone and it was starting to get dark and I saw the Goodyear sign on the front of the building Hwy 16 as I was driving by and decided to pull in. I went in and asked if they could check my tires for me as I was concerned about the warning light. They took time from their obviously busy schedule and brought my car into the garage and checked my tires and filled up one of the tires for me. They were so welcoming and friendly and really went over and above and didn't charge me a dime! Thanks to them for all the kindness and concern! read more
