Praline had no pralines. Rocky road had one marshmallow in it (two people ordered that). Coffee ice cream was almost flavorless. I've come here for years and brought my extended family this time and we were very disappointed. Never again. They measured the scoop size to the exact oz and took a long time to deliver each order. It was like they were conducted a science lab. No cheerful personalities in the store either. What pisses me off are the adults that rate down the youth for working in a candy store. If you're getting what you came for quickly and error free - what is there to complain about? It's "Effy" because there are young kids? What, do you think they're going to spit in your ice cream while you watch them scoop it? Yum!! One of our favorite places to visit while staying in Sunriver. Delicious ice cream, chocolates, coffees and treats! I have been trying to order a frozen chocolate covered banana on visits for the past 2 years with no luck and they actually had them available last night. Such a wonderful surprise and super tasty! Our first night in Sunriver was rewarded with a trip to the kids favorite. Obviously COVID has impacted most opportunities to truly enjoy your dessert experience but I must say Goody's did not disappoint. A Goody's gift bag for $20 was just what the kids needed and it was awesome to be able to order online, walk in, grab the bag and go! Goody's is one of our favorite spots in Sunriver, so much that grandma gave each grandchild $5 to spend on their own there. I got a waffle cone with one scoop of Butterfinger and one scoop of Marion Berry (I know, weird combination). The ice cream was good, and the customer service was spot on; but, it was incredibly crowded and we had to wait while bumping elbows for a good 8 minutes. Decided to get some ice cream while in Sunriver and hit up this spot. Got there at 1045 and finally got to eat some ice cream 45 min later! It was ridiculous how slow they were (I understand Covid and limiting the amount of people inside but there were only 10 people in front of us). When i got inside finally i understood why it was so slow. Thec3 employees who worked there were under 18. 1 employee wasn't even helping she was doing inventory?!? Anyway, they got our name incorrect and started helping people who came in after us as we continued to stand there. The kid would scoop some ice cream and then leave to go tell people outside how long to wait before coming inside (perhaps a sign would have relayed this?) Finally I spoke to the kid handling the orders and we got what we ordered, kinda. They messed up a couple of our ice creams by giving us double scoops when we asked for singles. Just a mess. What a disappointment! I ordered a scoop of cookie dough ice cream and what I got was a scoop of cookie dough less ice cream. Thinking they must have mistakenly given me a scoop of vanilla, I want back in and asked the young man what kind of ice cream was in my cone. The women behind the counter said that it was definitely cookie dough ice cream and when I asked about it they said that I was unlucky and got the scrapings of the bottom of the bucket. This is part of the traditional Sunriver experience and such a great product. However the service is worse than the other bad service too common in Sunriver. At 7:30 there were a dozen people in line and 3 employees. The line was not moving after 5-6 minutes and more customers had lined up behind us. Everyone was getting annoyed because only one employee was coming work - m Miranda was doing her best while Bailie and Charlotte were chatting, leaning on the back counter, adjusting candy jars, rubbing her nose and mouth, chatting, counting bills, laughing, generally chillin while 20 people were now in line. Kudos to Miranda but someone needs to refrain the other two. read more

We come here every time we're in Sunriver. The ice cream is great. We tried to avoid the COVID lines by going during dinner and waited ~15 minutes. We appreciated that they spaced us out and outside. However, the way they served resulted in 4+ groups piling up, waiting inside for their ice cream. One employee might serve an entire group - whatever they did resulted in people who came after us being partially served first, then another later family got some of theirs, then we got some of ours... I think they should serve entire families so they can leave, especially with COVID. It also could've been lack of supervision/leadership. Some employees were polite, others were just goofing off. One misread my name - others laughed disrespectfully. Fortunately I used it as a learning opportunity for my kids - how not to behave if you ever want to do a job well. None wore gloves. read more

Terrible service. I ordered a brownie sundae, which was on the menu, and described as having a brownie with ice cream on top. I received a cup with chocolate ice cream and whipped cream. Not what I ordered at all. I told them that it was not what I ordered and they did not even apologize, they justified it by saying they didn't have brownies and rudely walked away. I don't even like chocolate ice cream, so I ended up throwing the whole thing away and left. This was EXTREMELY disappointing because I was really looking forward to it. Well...we've stopped in here a few times. The ice cream is really good... Its usually crowded and dirty though. They seem to have quite a few people working in the summer so no excuse for gross floors and sticky tables. Something as small as tidying up would go a long way. The idea of the old fashioned counter service is nice but when you dont even want to sit at the counter amongst the blobs if dried ice cream, thats pretty telling. The caramel corn is really tasty but for gosh sakes DON'T INCLUDE THE UNPOPPED KERNELS IN THE BATCH BECAUSE I ALMOST BROKE A TOOTH OH.....ABOUT 14 TIMES!! If you're gonna make and sell caramel corn, you have to do it right. read more

I don't go for ice cream very often. I'd rather have a beer but tonight was an ice cream night. I get it. Ice cream shop in a tourist trap. They aren't trying to be salt and straw (but they could try to be decent). First: we make some damn good ice cream in the state of Oregon. Tillamook, Umpqua, Alpenrose. There is no reason to make your own unless you are going to take it to another level. I had a simple standby. Just a root beer float. Vanilla, root beer. thats it. Well, the soda was flat, and lacked flavor (imagine drinking the melted ice from a good root beer). The vanilla ice cream was overly eggy and lacked real vanilla flavor. To top it off, i got a used scoop that had bits of waffle cone stuck in it from the first time they tried to use it. experiences like this are why I don't splurge on ice cream often. one star for the kids working hard and one for the awesome waffle cone smell wafting out. read more

How do you run out of waffle cones on a Saturday? The Ice cream is nothing special. Beware of the strawberry because it tastes terrible. I could not eat it. Hands down best ice cream parlor in Sunriver. Party of 13 - everyone liked their flavor and even the vegan ice cream got rave reviews.

This is one of the best ice cream places I have every been ANYWHERE. Their ice cream is soo yummy, especially on the hot days in the middle of summer in Sun River. The biggest complaint I have is that sometimes it can be crowded, with no seats, and long lines - but the wait is worth it. If your going to visit Sun River it is something everyone should try at least once (or twice) :) read more
