Laura is a wonderful photographer to work with. She's a great communicator and quick at responding. She is generous with her time to answer questions and anything related to the shoot or payment. This is our second time working with Laura and we are nothing but please. Our first photo shoot was with our 6 month old boy and our second (just a few weeks ago) was with our growing family of 2 year old and newborn baby girl who just turned 6 months. The photos are beautiful, gorgeous, and definitely memorable!! She really knows how to capture those precious moments which we can enjoy for years to come. I would recommend Laura to anyone. My family and I worked with Laura recently on our very first family photo shoot and it was a wonderful experience. We got MORE than we had anticipated and we will definitely be back again. The photo shoot was on location at a beautiful park and we were finished in just a few hours. I have 2 young children and the fact that we were able to take our photos on location made it easier to keep them entertained. Most importantly it's always great to have a photographer (like Laura) who knows what they're doing because children get bored real fast. I received all my photos on CD for a REALLY great price (holiday special), but I checked out her regular rates and they're just as good. Discovered Laura via LivingSocial, she is a gem! The quality of service and her enormous patience with my 3 very "excited" boys are incredible. We are so happy with her service and quality of work, I am becoming a repeat customer. Will I recommend her to my highly critical family - YES. My youngest son is not the easiest to photograph, I admit. She was able to capture those moments where he wasn't sporting a silly face, with one eye close or anything a silly 5 yr old would do to make the experience less than perfect. Laura was great, she knew what to say to get my youngest to focus. At the end we finally have a fabulous family portrait we are proud to display. We tried the many department store photo galleries and the mall photo places during the last 6 years. By far Laura is the BEST! She made the experience enjoyable and provided tons of proofs. BEST experience ever!!!! I had photos of my 1 year old taken with Laura Joyce and WOW! What a pleasure it was! She is so patient and kind! Has a great eye and knows just what she's doing! The back drops were amazing (we used her private studio) and just the unfinished,unedited pics were mind blowing! I cant wait to see them after she works her magic on the photos! Very disappointed. I called Laura and spoke with her on the phone regarding maternity shots. We discussed prices, location and reserved a date. Laura was supposed to email me an invoice and confirmation after we got off the phone. Fast forward 2 weeks and I still hadn't heard from Laura and as the date was quickly approaching I started getting nervous. I called Laura and she said she was glad that I had called her because she lost my email address. Hmmm why didn't she just call me and ask me for it or listen to my voicemail where I had also left my email address? I was a little hesitant after this conversation, but was willing to proceed forward based on the good reviews from yelp. We again discussed and confirmed the date and she was again going to email me an invoice for the session. I got off the phone and text her my email address that she asked me for. She text me back saying she would be home in an hour and would email information to me. The following day at noon I still hadn't heard from her, no text , no call, nothing. I sent her a text stating to never mind that I DID NOT want to deal with a flaky photographer and someone who has no follow through! She text me an hour later saying she was sorry to hear that. No apology. Wow- I would never recommend Laura to anyone. Extremely disappointed and surprised at her lack of follow through and dedication to her clients! read more

I found Laura/Goofyfoot on Yelp while searching for a photographer who could take both my maternity and newborn pictures. I recently had my maternity session with Laura but am still waiting on baby for the newborn shoot. Laura was very professional, thoughtful, and creative when choosing our location as well as the poses. The pictures came to us very shortly after that and look INCREDIBLE!!!! I am very pleased and satisfied with not only the pictures she took, but with her professionalism and quick response during the process. Laura is an amazing photographer and was wonderful with our 1 year old toddler! He doesn't like to sit still and we usually take his picture by filming him and then finding a good still frame.This was my first time getting professional photographs taken of him and I was just hoping for a few good shots we could have framed for the grandparents so I purchased a deal on Living Social. It was one of my best purchases ever. We were able to do the photos outdoors at a nearby park at her suggestion and after meeting the little guy, Laura wasn't concerned about catching good shots and for good reason! We ended up liking so many of the pictures that our problem became trying to narrowing it down. We will definitely have her do future sessions as he grows. read more

Laura did a photo shoot for our family. She was wonderful with our two children (ages 2 and 4) and provide us with both posed shots as well as natural shots of our family at the beach. The pictures (which were taken at Manhattan Beach Pier) were amazing and we received tons of compliments from the pictures we have framed in our house and our holiday cards. Laura took my families photos Oct. 6th 2013 we are very happy with our photos! We did the mini session since we have a 1 & 3 year old, I didn't feel like they would last longer than that! I am glad we decided on a mini session, the day we did our session it was 90 degrees at 10am! But our photos still turned out nice Laura has a way with children (she does have 2 little boys of her own). All the photos were ready to view 5 days later, and after 2 days of narrowing our 300+ photos down to 15, she had the touched up photos ready and e-mailed them to me 2 days later, that night after looking through the touched up photos I noticed my daughter had a brown spot on her tooth (from the M&M's I was bribing her with) I e-mailed Laura that night asking if she could re touch that photo, and it was re-touched and sent back to me the next day! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for great photos & service! read more
