This is why: Matt Widder came to our home and listened to us as we explained our wants and needs. Unlike other companies, he priced out a system that was based on want we wanted and needed and didn't try to sell us equipment that was too big for our home or that wasn't necessary. He provided us with an estimate before leaving our house that day. His estimate was fair and reasonable and was far less than any of the other estimates we received. He provided the make and model of all the equipment he was proposing so we were able to do our own independent research on the equipment. He stayed in touch with us and answered all of our questions (and we had a lot). Any time we contacted him with a question he answered and couldn't be more willing to provide us with the information we requested. Our system was installed at the end of September and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Matt was here with the crew of installers on the day of installation. The entire crew was here to start the job on time and the project was done in one day. Everyone on the job site was pleasant, efficient, organized, knowledgeable and clean. They all worked together like a well-oiled machine. When they left at the end of the day everything was cleaned up and you would never know that any work had been done. We called them over a year ago to replace a water heater that decided to kick it the weekend we had guests staying with us. After calling three plumbing companies, Guardian was the first to respond...as I think about it, we didn't hear from the other two for days! Anyway, after explaining this was an emergency situation they made it a priority and came the same day. Tony installed a brand new water heater and we were back in business! I called for a true emergency repair as water was cascading in my basement. Not only was Mike able…read moreto ask a few questions and give an initial diagnosis over the phone, which ended up being correct, but he was getting his guy in the truck heading my way as I was still on the phone. Once he arrived, ahead of his truck, he did a great job getting a plan together to attack the problem. When the truck arrived, he moved quickly and cleared the clogged pipe. We were in shock over the state of our house, but Mike was the consummate professional and clearly laid out the options moving forward. I got the immediate sense that he was fair and not looking to take advantage of anyone. He explained best case and worst case for each option and applied no pressure as we tried to figure out cost, insurance ramifications, urgency and other factors. We made our decision and he committed to fixing it as quickly and economically as possible. Fast forward to the repair. He and his guys were on time, professional and very respectful. They prepped for a clean departure and started the work. What initially looked like a best case, started going sour because of where the problem was in the pipes, but the guys did everything they could to not take the job to the next level, which would have cost a lot more money. Mike and the guys went above and beyond to save an exterior retaining wall, which would have cost me thousands to repair/replace. They easily could have just taken the easier and more expensive option but they found a way to fix everything without digging up my wall and walkway. This company is unauthorized and unlicensed to do the work they did to our home. Sealed a leak…read moreinside our furnace. Which cause multiple molds deadly molds. Stachybotrys and Penicillium Aspergilus. We lived in that home while unknowingly being poisoned and almost killed. The owner Ed Ryan withheld the air cell tests results for over 3 weeks. Mold doubles everyday in that environment. Ed Ryan knowingly left us there in a deadly poisoned environment. We asked for his insurance info from the start multiple times, was denied. He than began payoff techniques that only paid for money already spent and the dearth of our family dog of over 10 years, from long term mold poisoning. All three healthy adults in the house lost 100 lbs. We were sick for months. Multiple Dr.s and ER visits. When we planned on meeting today to discuss our issues. He made excuse after excuse why he couldn't make it! He was arguing with us as the vet was at the home to do the euthanasia. He did not make our meeting. He blew us off, over and over as we watched our dear dog put to rest. Still has not provided insurance or any info. This company has government contract and receives grants to help homeowners in hardship make their homes more efficient. But from our experience this is a fraudulent company working under a D.B.A. National Spay and Foam. They do unlicensed, illegal, with unqualified employees. Do not let this company fool you into some free work. You, your loved ones, and pets could be dead. And you can be displaced and Ed Ryan will not keep his word and discard you. Wont give insurance because he doesn't want to lose his government contracts with Comfort Partners, utility companies, and the New Jersey department that grants his government contract!
