I believe a lot of the reviews posted for them on google are paid reviews. I got suckered in. Have paid them upwards of $80000 for very nominal work to defend a tax audit and get threats from them that they will stop working for me unless I pay more. They raised rates midway through our engagement. And they suck you dry. Even after the IRS auditor told us that there were no adverse findings and we were in the clear, my attorney billed for thousands of dollars to close out the case and drain the remaining funds. If you have any money left over on the retainer, consider it gone! read more

I was referred to Liz Rodgers by a friend who had worked with her and had nothing but great things to say. This may sound like hyperbole, but Liz very well may have saved my career - certainly at the company I was at. When I first spoke to Liz, I felt I was unfairly being pushed out of this company that I had worked for (and had a good standing with) for over 15 years. Within a week of speaking to Liz, I was fairly certain I could stay at my company, if I wanted to. Within a month of speaking to Liz, I knew that not only could I stay there - I knew I could thrive. I should note that I took no action against my company - Liz simply provided guidance and helped me with emails, mostly to HR (part of her guidance was to avoid action against my company - which was definitely good advice in my situation). It's been years since Liz and I spoke and I am still at the same company, in the same role, and I'm as happy as I've been at this company in as long as I can remember. First, Liz genuinely cares about her clients - that is very clear. When I first spoke to her, I was a bit all over the place. Liz was very patient with me in trying to understand my fairly complex situation. Second, Liz gave me excellent guidance and advice. I didn't realize this as it was happening, but upon reflection, Liz did a really good job of explaining to me what I had going for me, and what I didn't (understanding what you think you have but you actually don't is extremely important). In my situation (as it is in most situations like this), understanding "what you have" and "what you don't" is paramount to achieving the best outcome possible. Liz did an excellent job of setting those expectations for me, which allowed me to proceed from the strongest position possible. It's possible I would have been able to navigate this by myself, but even in a best-case scenario, I would have made missteps along the way (most likely, I would have "overplayed my hand" at certain junctures). There were times when I didn't initially agree with Liz's advice (or I didn't agree with it at all), but I followed it anyway and with the advantage of hindsight now, she was right every time. I can't recall a time when she gave me advice that caused a misstep. Without Liz, maybe it would have worked out okay, maybe not. With Liz, it was airtight - I just had to follow the guidance she provided and the rest worked itself out. Simply put, anyone would be lucky to have Liz by their side if they run into an unfair employment situation. And that is an understatement. read more

Don't look elsewhere! if you need TAX help for any reason you came to the right place. I'm a former client and the folks here took care my business seriously and professionally and most importantly these are down to earth people who will listen to you until all your question and concerns are answered. I was so afraid facing my TAX issue but after speaking to Mr. Gordon and Mr. Raff it felt that I have an army of Lawyers on my side. Facing TAX issue is a nightmare and very stressful. The law firm took their time to explain to me the process and the possible outcome. I was very pleased how they took their time in my initial consultation to ensure I'm well taken cared off. Normally most Lawyers will give limited time to potential client and some lawyers will only do brief consultation over the phone. Mr. Gordon and the law firm communicate to me very effectively from beginning to end without the pressure of limited time. That's what you want when you want someone to fight for you! First let me start by saying I did not want to write a "Mike is great review". I wanted to take my time and explain why he is very good and what makes him excel as a tax attorney. When I came into my difficult tax situation I was nervous. Like you reading this, I was scared and thinking about it at all times. To the point I was unable to sleep. I went to Gordon law firm after receiving a letter from the Revenue Officer asking for me to settle up. Gordon law firm and Mike truly explained the process to me. I never spoke to the IRS (which is what I wanted). My case was settled, and I am moving on with my life. The people who work at the IRS are just like you and me. They just want to live their life and trust me their goal is not to ruin you. They just want a fair close to the case. This process will take over a year at minimum. Why is Mike a great lawyer? I work with lawyers all the time in my job. I can honestly say Mike is the only lawyer who gets back to you usually within the hour but for sure by the end of the day. This is important for people who are going through a stressful time. You do not want to be sitting there waiting for a response while you are biting your nails off. Mike understands this and gets back to you at all times, even on weekends if he can. I also felt like Mike truly wanted to represent me and get the best deal for me. I never once felt like he was just in it for the money or to push my case along. He is a young and aggressive lawyer. I promise he will get you the best outcome you can get. I had a severe IRS tax audit. Stressful and totally lost on what to do. I contacted the Gordon Law Group(best thing to do). I had contacted other firms and was unimpressed.
