The female manager (?) was first a little standoffish and rude and then came back and offered 1/2 of what the other company offered. So I told her what I was offered and she said abruptly then maybe you should take it there instead and turned her back to me and walked away. I was raised in retail working at my family's retail stores and my father taught me to always treat your customers nice even if you don't agree with what they're asking. He told me that one mad customer can hurt your family business because they will tell their friends and you will lose. So a word for improvement to Jewelers Bench - always be nice to your customers no matter what!

I love the Mudpie, Brighton, Royal Standard, and fun Louisianan items (my NOLA-raised self definitely appreciates them). I bought a Louisiana-themed tea towel, and an associate offered to hold it at the register until checkout. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name, but she was so incredibly helpful. The reason I'm removing a star is because when we first entered the store, despite being greeted, we were heavily watched and followed while we browsed Tyler Candle and Mackenzie Childs products. I own several items from both companies, yet when we got in the car, my mom remarked how uncomfortable it made her feel. I absolutely agree. I realize they've probably had theft issues, especially with the close proximity to the freeway, and I know Mackenzie Childs products are a pretty penny (as well as fragile), but glaring at customers and staying within a few feet of them the entire time they're browsing products is a bit overboard. Fortunately, as we continued through the store, the micromanagement died way down.
