Horrible way to start a relationship with a doctor I have never seen. I would never make an appointment with a doctors office that is more worried about getting paid than helping me with my issue. Naturally they would be paid whether the insurance was paying or not. How insulting to treat a potential client so disrespectfully.

I was in for quite the surprise when I arrived for my appointment. The staff were very helpful and cheerful and I was greeted by Dr. Wendell Wallace. Right away, I noticed a major difference between the two. Dr. Wallace was very informative and went at a smooth pace to keep us moving forward and also complete the minor surgery *properly*. The previous experiences with Dr. Wachtel (again, another doctor not associated with Methuen Podiatry) were all very rushed each time as he had an entire waiting room full of patients to attend to. Noticeable immediately, Dr. Wallace was extremely organized and paid attention to detail and informed me of what he was doing as he went along. Having had the procedure done multiple times prior, what took Dr. Wachtel 5 minutes to rush through and wrap a bloody bandage around, Dr. Wallace completed in maybe 20 minutes with a tidy clean bandage at the end. I am very confident that Dr. Wallace has finally solved this long-time nuisance of mine and you should find the same confidence that he can assist you too. The office is updated and clean, the staff were all down to earth and professional. Dr. Dalrymple was able to quickly resolve my issue for me and made some footwear recommendations to help with preventing another flare up. I've since received the new items based on her recommendations and they're some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I'll likely be going back to look at orthotics going forward soon, but had an all around great experience at this office and would definitely recommend going in.

We were going on a walking tour of Scotland and Ireland in 3 days. The Dr said I would be "fine". He numbed my toe with Novocain 4 times. I told him the area where the pain was still hurt. He offered a "bite stick" and went ahead with the procedure. The pain was excruciating. I believe he gave up and did the quickest "fix" he could. The entire trip was a nightmare. My toe was infected, swollen, red, and so painful. Walking was a nightmare. Also, when I removed the bandages he used, there was a large piece of discarded toenail embedded in them. Right against the pain source. He also did not trim the dead tissue or excess skin left behind. Please do not go here for ingrown toenail care. I am still suffering with pain. I've had this done at the PCP years ago, and it went seamlessly. It's a simple surgical procedure. Think twice.
