My vehicle was overheating. I pulled up and asked if they service the coolant system. They said no, but they can check the fluid levels. They showed me that I definitely had a coolant leak and showed me where to look and what I was looking for. Super great service! They topped off my fluids and recommended I go straight to get it serviced. I cannot express how grateful I am for them looking out for my safety even if it didn't get them a sell right then. Service is great but the price for an oil change is ridiculous! $90 is way too high! While I love going here and the service, I cannot justify spending that much. Great service this week! I needed to get my moms car washed so of course I consulted Yelp to find a reputable spot. They were able to get to the car immediately. I was a little concerned when they said it would be 35-45 minutes but I wasn't really in a rush so off they went with the car. While waiting I would look at the service bay every so often. I was surprised (and thrilled) to see that the man washing the car was giving it a meticulous cleaning. He cleaned the door jams and opened the trunk to clean around the frame where the lid fits. He removed leaves and dirt that had been there for months! The windows are spotless and nary a speck on the black carpet and seats. I left totally satisfied. I will definitely be back next time moms car needs a wash. read more

Don't use Gorilla Lube and Wash as an oil change service. They are beyond incompetent in all ways. They lack training and quality care of your vehicle. Due to their lack of knowledge, my oil filter looked like it had been put on by a damn Gorilla; crushing in on itself, so much it was causing damage to the filter and took me two different companies to try to remove, said filter, to get a new oil change. Due to excessive force and manual labor to correct the issue of the waayyy over tightened filter, by these Gorillas... I had to pay around $160 combined for an oil change. That's 3x the amount of what I should have paid, had it been done correctly, of a quarter hand turn... so I called the location I went to, to complain and received the regional manager, Chris's number. After sending proof and two invoices, he said they couldn't do anything to make their wrong, right. I trusted that they would at least try in some way to make it right, but decided to continue to make themselves look bad... had it been him that this happened to, I'm sure he'd be having the same complaint and would want the company to do anything in the slightest to increase customer care. I travel to Temple often, being from Michigan, but I can guarantee that this place will not be getting another dime, another chance, or any good words from me. Take car to dealer, come to find out drain plug no longer tightens and leaking, bolt also cross threaded and Stripped oil pain and now out $900 having to get replaced. Talked to owner, refuses to take accountability for the damage his guys did. says dealer trying to make money and could not be their guys. Have had Honda's my entire life no issues with oil pan. I have use Gorilla Lube and Car Wash for years and I'm very pleased with their consistently good service.

I was very disappointed in my car wash/interior cleaning, vacuum and leather conditioner. Although the people were very nice - they left the entire back seat dirty. It was not vacuumed and the outside running boards, windows in the back, and tire wells were still dirty. After I pointed out these things the men walked around and sprayed my car with a blue liquid which now left spots everywhere (they didn't wipe it off, just sprayed it). My grandson had visited and we had been to the lake, waterpark, out to eat, and shopping. Car had rocks, grass, sand, and dirt in floor mats. I also pick up plants and potting soil locally so back of SUV had dirt under weather tech mats. Windows had doggy nose prints along with haze from hair spray, perfume, and other products. Since I have a white SUV with light color interior, it needs to have regular care. I am too old to do all the vacuuming and window cleaning so after reading reviews, decided to have car detailed. Selected what services I wanted and then waited for about 1 1/2 hours because it was busy. Carpets and weather mats were all cleaned up and no debris. Windows were spotless. Interior of car was very good (only missed one shoe imprint on back of front passenger seat and it came off with damp cloth). Smelled of cleaner so I did air it out when I got home. Exterior was good. All in all, pleased with the work based on time allocated and cost. Staff friendly and courteous. They didn't press me to buy higher priced service and it was nice to have a space to wait. Everyone was working very hard and got the vehicles moved through without delay. This place has the nicest people of any car wash I've ever been to. I stayed overnight in Waco on my way back from Dallas. At the hotel, it was late, I was tired and I parked in a mostly empty lot near the door and went to bed. The next morning my car was covered in bird shit and FEATHERS! And there was the most disgusting smell. I continued my drive back to Austin and realized that I had to get the car washed, it would not wait until I got back. So I pulled over in Temple and searched yelp. This place had great ratings and was on my way. They agreed to just wash the outside for me and not make me unload my car. Then they had several people tag team hand washing and scrubbing every inch of bird poop off the car. Then they had dried it. All for less than $15! Next time we drive to Dallas or Waco, my husband said we will stop by and have the car detailed. They dod an amazing job! read more

Had my inspection done and got my SUV washed and detailed. The wash and detail were HORRIBLE! Save yourself the time and money and blindfold yourself and wipe your car down with a dirty towel. It will probably turn out better than having it washed and detailed at this place. read more

First time trying this place yesterday afternoon and all I came in for was an "exterior" wash (their "platinum" package), and they couldn't even not screw that up. Alarming the number of complaints about some kind of damage, something broken, missing, etc, that are on here. What they did with me was "only" bend my front license plate (at least all I've discovered so far), but then I didn't have them do anything under the hood or inside my car (thank God). Unfortunately I didn't see the bent license plate until today (everyone should check their cars before leaving this place, wish I had), but then I also noticed all sorts of dirt still on my car's front end. I cleaned it myself tonight. They also apparently don't include washing the windshield in their "exterior" package - who knew. The windshield folks, really?? That must be another $7, 8 or $10. They nickel and dime you to death here, adding all sorts of extra costs for services that are normally a part of a car wash any place else. All their prices seem higher than the norm. Profit seems to be what it's all about with these folks. They are friendly and keep up a running chat with you, but I'd rather have competence and a concern for customer satisfaction rather than "friendliness." This was my first time at their establishment and unfortunately it will be my last. My regular car wash is undergoing a remodel and being a senior with some physical limitations, I was hoping to just get a simple problem free exterior wash somewhere. I don't mind redoing my car, but I do resent paying $26 + tip for the privilege. This charge also included $8.00 to vacuum the car mats, only one of which needed it, the other 3 did not. Isn't a vacuuming (not even shampoo) standard procedure at most car washes? It is at my regular place. In the future I can vacuum my own mats. My advice to anybody going here is: know exactly what you are being charged before any work starts and walk away if it seems high, you may come out worse than you went in. I feel like I learned a $26 lesson but considering what's happened to others, I consider myself lucky. Apparently the car wash business has changed with the pandemic, but many businesses are exploiting the lack of personnel and resultant dying off of traditional full service washes and are really sticking it to the poor customer. Gorilla lube is great! If you have kids there's a great playground and a fun gorilla theme. They have cookies too. The prices are very reasonable and they are very honest and so helpful.They refill everything that is low for no charge with an oil change (not like some other companies) and you get a free car wash. It's really the best place to go, especially if you need someone trustworthy. I don't know anything about cars and I feel comfortable that they aren't trying to take advantage of that. read more

So my car was filthy. Dog hair, built up grime, dusty inside and out. Literally. I am very clean, little ocd. However, this is how I received the car. Long story. Anyway, I was in Temple visiting. Had it washed and detailed. Hair removal is extra. I got it back and the difference was like night and day! I check nooks and crannies. It was pretty fab. Now the sides of the glove compartment were dusty, when you open it. However, I as I said, I am kind of ocd about stuff. So it didn't bother me. I was so impressed with 99% of the job. Remember to take cash. They require you to tip the employees directly. That is my biggest disappointment, not the policy but not being able to tip. They deserved it. read more
