When I was searching for new equipment, someone mentioned that these guys had a sale on (EVERYONE has a sale on pretty much this time of the year, but it did bring them to top-of-mind. When I went in, there were a couple of employees chatting it up with a customer. So I wandered the store, and had my eyes open by some of the merchandise that they carry: namely, those helmets and goggles that were priced for millionaires and billionaires (see photos). I started chuckling when I peeked at the price-tags. They did not have anything that I was looking for, and in any case, in the 10+ minutes I was in the store, not a single person came up to greet me. Maybe I should have sprayed on some eau de baller? I like the store for clothes but this is a terrible place to get ski boots or footbeds. They spend huge amount of time to sell you the same boots as anyone else. More importantly the staff just don't do a great job with custom footbeds or boot fitting. read more

Horrible service, people wouldn't greet me and wouldn't help me find anything. Older ladies with attitudes, don't shop here unless you want to be on a sitcom. Would never want to go back and spend another dollar here. Great selection of merchandise, but was given attitude when asking to find other sizing. I walked in the store and was not greeted, only stared at. I went to the candle selection as I really wanted a Lafco candle, but wasn't sure which scent I wanted. As I was smelling the candles, a store employee came over and butted in front of me to put back some candles. I think it would have been common courtesy to wait until I was finished, but that was not the case. It was so rude and lacked customer service. Wow, what AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE. We wandered down to the shop at the base of the Park Hyatt to get our rentals....one of the bellmen had given us a coupon to a different shop (20% off) and when I asked the Gorsuch guys about it they said they were a bit more expensive but had the BEST GEAR, and they would carry the skis up to the Hyatt (not a big deal). Not only did they have the best, they were the best. Neil took his time while fitting us, made great recommendations, and were incredibly friendly. In fact, Hot Mamma's boots hurt so bad after the first day she didn't think she could ski again.....we went down the next morning to the shop and they apologized and took 40 minutes to find the perfect pair. Total - $360.75 - skis, boots and poles for 4 days (for the 2 of us) Not only did Mamma get to ski the next 3 days, they fit great. I live in LA and travel often to Colorado for winter and summer sports alike. Every time I visit I stop by Beaver Creek Gorsuch. I'm obsessed with the store! It bums me out to read a review calling the associates Old and douchey. In fact there's nothing more douchey then somebody writing a review calling someone old and douchey. I'm assuming this must be one entitled individual who wrote that review. Now mind you I'm in my 30's and pretty alternative looking with lots of tattoos. I have always been greeted with a warm smile and an abundance of help from the staff at the beaver creek location! I am actually coming back to Colorado early February and Gorsuch is on my list of places to visit. Every experience I've had there has been a pleasant one and I plan to continue to spend my money at that beautiful well curated store. Amazing customer service! I bought a ski coat here and 2 years after purchasing the zipper fell off. The store fixed the coat and shipped it back to my house. This sort of customer service is hard to find and makes purchasing at this store so worth it! Thank you Gorsuch!! read more

Best rental experience we have had, certainly at the resorts at CO. I won't use the other chains any longer. The service is friendly, the gear is brand new, and everything is actually tuned! The employees don't make you feel you are putting them out as we experienced at the other stores. Look forward to a return visit. read more

Downstairs...couldn't be friendlier. Upstairs...not so much. I've shopped at three Gorsuch locations and this one seems like it isn't even in the same league. Clothes crowded and not nicely arranged, dressing room is almost grungy and salespeople (blond woman and younger man) had little knowledge of enthusiasm for the merchandise. Went in planning to spend a few thousand...left and went elsewhere. Gorsuch might have a lot of nice brands, but these days you can get anything online. SERVICE is what makes the difference. The guys downstairs know that. Maybe they should tell the people upstairs. read more

The BEST customer service!! My wife and I rented ski's for 6 days. We are experienced skiers and expect the best...... And Gorsuch has it. From the moment we walked in we felt like family. Snow conditions changed during the week, and so did my ski's. All in perfect shape, quick and simple. The folks had a vast knowledge of all the products and latest trends on the slopes. I specifically went to buy a pair of boots I had been eyeing online. No one ever greeted me, and I was followed and watched as I made my way through the store. I looked at the boots for quite a while, and the sales woman never came over or offered to help. I decided this store didn't need or deserve my business, so I left without the boots. read more

STAY AWAY from RENTAL shop.. - Rented a demo snow board from the location at park Hyatt beaver creek and had the worst experience.. bindings are worn out so much that two bindings broke on the same day spoiling my skiing experience for that day.. we come to beaver creek every year with the family and none of us will ever rent equipment from them ... ever again... terrible costumer service... manager said "those things happen" and did not try to settle things... , obviously I did NOT ask for anything.. I know better than that.. in a store like this you should get service without asking.. I cancelled my rental for the following day and I am good knowing they will never get my money ever again... Do yourself a favor and look around.. check the wear and tear on the bindings.. if they seem to be coming apart.. THEY WILL... and "things like that happen".. yea right ..!!! read more

I had a wonderful transaction with this particular store. My story didn't start out too well at first. I had received a pair of ski pants for my birthday which is in April and they didn't fit, so I went to Gorsuch and they stated that my size was sold out and to return at the beginning of the season and they would replace. Keep in mind that they stayed in a bag for 6 months before I returned to the store. The first woman I encountered was downright rude (Irish I think...) and nearly accused me of using the pants (I might have had makeup on my fingers when I pulled the pants out of the bag and there was a small mark). She was truly mean and said, "We can't put these back on the floor!" Luckily, just as she was banishing me from the store, a fellow who was an acting manager came to my rescue. "Let me call corporate and see what I can do." Corporate gave me clearance to replace the pants and I wound up with a giftcard for the unused balance. I will definitely return to this store and appreciate the incredible customer service. Just avoid the Irish chick....attitude central. read more

We bought skis late in the season. They were sold out of both bindings and one set of skis. Well that didn't stop Glenn. He called the other stores in Vail and Utah. I stayed at the Park Hyatt for a conference and was recommended to get my rentals from Gorsuch. The customer service in this shop was second to none... Nathan went above and beyond to make sure that my rental boots were comfortable. He did not have to do the special adjustments that he made on my boots but I greatly appreciated it and will absolutely buy my custom boots from Gorsuch if I decided to get some because of his customer service. My days on the slopes were made better because of Gorsuch and Nathan. Awesome to see such great customer service. read more

I went in to buy a helmet a few days ago & they didn't have the one I wanted in my size. The second the lady realized she didn't have it she immediately got on the phone and ordered it from another one of their locations & assured me it would be in the next day. As promised, I went in the next afternoon with my daughter who had just come back from ski school & not only did she have the helmet ready to go for me but she saw my daughter (who had her face painted) and spoke to her about how cool she looked with her new look & went on to ask her about how "awesome" ski school must've been & even joked about joining as long as she could get her face done like my daughter's. We've been home nearly a week & she is still talking about it. Because of her we will be renting & buying from gorsuch for many vacations to come! read more

FANTASTIC customer service, and very reasonable prices, especially considering their upscale location in the Beaver Creek Village, and directly below the Park Hyatt. Husband and I came in for ski rentals just as they were closing, but Parker greeted us and agreed to help us. We filled out a quick profile and he fit us for our boots and skis, based on our foot size, height, weight, and ski ability...impressive compared to other places that just ask "what's your shoe size?" Our equipment was delivered to the slope-side "ski valet" inside the Hyatt the next morning for our convenience (included in the rental fee!) We happened to be in town during the 2015 World Ski Championships, which were sponsored by Audi. My husband is an Audi enthusiast and fixated on their promotional beanies which he saw worn all around the village. He mentioned that he was looking for one and Parker said to come back to the event tent the next day. When we returned he happened to be there and recognized us but unfortunately there were no beanies left, as the event was coming to a close. He went out of his way to track some down though, and to our surprise there was a pair of beanies waiting for us in our hotel room at the end of the day, courtesy of Parker! Beautiful clothing but a much smaller selection than the Vail location. Rental equipment staff could not have been nicer but when I went to shop in the Boutique upstairs a slightly larger blonde woman named Debra was very unhelpful and slightly condescending. Maybe she assumed I wasn't going spend a lot of money because I'm only in my early 20's or maybe she treats all her clients that way...whatever the reason I took my business elsewhere. I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars somewhere where the management is so remarkably inattentive and seem more concerned about organizing sweaters than assisting actual clients. read more
