Gotcha Covered never even made it to my house. I scheduled an appt for someone to come out for plantation shutters. They even texted me 2 days before they were coming asking for a picture of the window we needed them for. They gave me a time of 1:30-3:30. At 1:36 I received a text that they would be here at 2:30. At 1:57 I received a text from them stating that not only did he not bring a ladder, he also did not bring any shutter samples so he would "send me an email this afternoon detailing our shutter offering along with a pre quote based on the window in your photo if that's okay with you." --- big shock, never rec'd that email. I will NOT be using them for the shutter. read more

Terrible customer service. They won't stand behind the products they sell unless you bought from them directly. They are an authorized Hunter Douglas dealer but that means nothing if you just happened to buy a home with HD blinds and need a repair. They can't be bothered, even when HD directs you to them for help. Also, it takes them weeks to respond. Can't recommend to anyone. Try Kiwi Designs in Cary instead. read more

I am not sure why this company has received (for the most part) good reviews. My experience with Gotcha Covered over the past few months has been nothing but negative. About 6 months ago I reached out to Gotcha Covered to install 4 automatic blinds in my company's office. They quoted me around $6k. This was a steep price, but I was willing to pay since they got good yelp reviews. It ended up taking several months for the parts to arrive for the installation. Once they finally came to the office for the installation, they realized one part was broken for one of the 4 shades. This part took about another month to receive. Meanwhile 2 out of 4 shades stopped working. When they finally came into the office to install the replacement part and assess the two shades that weren't working, they told me 1 was a motor problem and they would need to order a new motor and 1 needed to be charged. I am still waiting for the new motor about another month later. We have only had 4/4 shades working, maybe 1 week since they were installed 6 months ago. This is insane! Terrible communication from the vendor, will not be using again and would not recommend to other businesses. read more

Gotcha Covered Blinds were no help at all and totally disinterested in providing any customer assistance. The woman said they didn't even think they could order the clips for a Hunter Douglas valance. Really?! She told me twice my best bet was velcro. Lol. In striking contrast, Sue at AAA Blinds is amazing! She is pleasant, customer focused, willing to go the extra mile. AAA had a full stock of valance clips for our Hunter Douglas blind as well as every other blind they sell in the store. read more

Ted has a great eye. I was completely out of my depth deciding on blinds for my new house - all I had was an adjective. He talked me through all the considerations - what would tie in the open spaces well, what would match floors cabinets and walls, and what would keep with the spirit of my one adjective. He showed me some great options and we landed on exactly what I wanted within minutes. In a couple of weeks, Chase was over ready to install everything. I talked to Jeanne on the phone, and she was very friendly. The ordering and installation took about 6 - 8 weeks. Joe was our installer, and was neat, fast, and polite. I love my shutters! Took me seems like forever to be able to purchase what I wanted, because we know shutter blinds are not cheap but it's what I wanted. The staff were very patient with me and I now have the front of my house with shutters! I love Gotcha Covered and I agree with everyone else Ted and staff are great and very accommodating. If I had to buy blinds all over again, I would use them and I'm very picky. I had an appointment at 1pm with Sue and she never showed up. After waiting for 20 minutes, I called the office and they said they would text her. No one ever called me back, and after 50 minutes of waiting I called and cancelled the appointment. I understand that things happen, traffic happens, etc, but why should I be making the phone calls to find out what happened to the woman? This was very unprofessional and I would not recommend this company based on this experience. What a waste of time! read more
