When it came time to submit the account number to the defendants bank so that I could collect the judgement award, Sam submitted the wrong account number for the defendant. Of course, the bank wrote that there was no individual by that name. I have been emailing and calling Sam repeatedly for 3 months, begging him to let me know what I can do to remedy the request to the defendants bank so that I can collect my judgement. He has not answered his phone. He has not returned my voicemails. And he has not responded to emails. It seems that Sam has taken my $390 and run. Very upsetting and I plan to file a complaint with California's better business bureau. This is all incredibly disappointing and disturbing to feel taken advantage of by those whom you hire to support you in the Justice System.

After speaking to Sam, the owner, I felt that he was by far the most professional and competent. He asked me questions and understood my scenario, while other servers didn't seem to be as patient or helpful. It seemed like others wouldn't try that hard and would hit the max number of tries, coming back to ask for more money. I felt like Bear Flag would really try to get the job done within the max of 3 times. Sure enough, they did. After they received my papers, they finished the job within 48 hours. Getting the job done, and done so quickly, was a huge relief to me after months of anguish. They followed up with an email and processed the appropriate paperwork with the court within the week. Bear Flag was the most expensive option of all the process servers I talked to, but at the end of the day, they were extremely professional and responsive. Full version: Roy is an all-talk-no-action process server that does not do much except talk about himself and complain about the price of diesel. Then after causing my court case to drag on TWICE by not serving the papers and wasting my time twice by barking orders based on misinformation, he had the nerve to call me stupid for asking him if it could be served at work to the individual's supervisor, as a previous document had been served in this manner. Very rude and unprofessional, he kept telling me it needed to be served by a process server or sheriff over and over, which I already knew and was why I was utilizing his service in the first place. I realized he meant it must be served personally by the process server, so when he kept on asking if I wanted him to serve it to the supervisor, in other words improperly, after I clearly understood it had to be served personally. I said, no, I don't want that if that's not the proper way. That is when he asked if I was stupid and said he didn't want to work with me. I don't need this nonsense. I already have enough stress with this and another claim/case due to aggressive ignoramuses on the roads of San Jose totaling my vehicle (100% other party's fault).
