When it came time to submit the account number to the defendants bank so that I could collect the judgement award, Sam submitted the wrong account number for the defendant. Of course, the bank wrote that there was no individual by that name. I have been emailing and calling Sam repeatedly for 3 months, begging him to let me know what I can do to remedy the request to the defendants bank so that I can collect my judgement. He has not answered his phone. He has not returned my voicemails. And he has not responded to emails. It seems that Sam has taken my $390 and run. Very upsetting and I plan to file a complaint with California's better business bureau. This is all incredibly disappointing and disturbing to feel taken advantage of by those whom you hire to support you in the Justice System.

I've never been involved in a legal dispute, so I wasn't quite sure how everything would play out with the unresponsive person I was serving. After speaking to Sam, the owner, I felt that he was by far the most professional and competent. He asked me questions and understood my scenario, while other servers didn't seem to be as patient or helpful. It seemed like others wouldn't try that hard and would hit the max number of tries, coming back to ask for more money. I felt like Bear Flag would really try to get the job done within the max of 3 times. Sure enough, they did. After they received my papers, they finished the job within 48 hours. Getting the job done, and done so quickly, was a huge relief to me after months of anguish. They followed up with an email and processed the appropriate paperwork with the court within the week. Bear Flag was the most expensive option of all the process servers I talked to, but at the end of the day, they were extremely professional and responsive. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy service to get the job done.

But it happened in about 24 hours from the time he received his packet from my lawyer. He was clearly prepared. What immediately stood out to us was Bornstein Law's transparency. Their terms and fees are clearly listed on their website. That was a big relief after the other attorney was trying to get us to sign with their firm and start an eviction over a small issue (Bornstein Law's fees are more affordable vs the other attorney we talked to). During our consultation, we didn't have to spend a long time explaining every detail of our situation and Attorney Bornstein had already identified the issue and presented several options to resolve our tenant issue. He was direct, practical, and didn't sugarcoat anything. I can see how some people might interpret that as feeling unheard, but in our case, we appreciated his efficiency. He was also considerate enough to recommend options that would cost us less because our matter was not an eviction case. After the call, I realized why some reviews mention communication issues. At the end of our consultation, he accidentally placed us on hold, apparently thinking the call had already ended. Should we be upset about it? Maybe. But compared to finally having a clear path forward for our tenant issue, it felt like a minor mistake. We left the consultation relieved and confident about our next steps.

They just did a terrific job for me on a rush assignment dealing with a particularly difficult Sheriff's Office. They moved heaven and earth to get something done in one day. This is the second time they basically dropped everything and got something done for me that was pretty difficult. They have also finessed a few things in the San Mateo Sheriff's Office. (Frank knows the local Sheriffs and is careful to follow the procedures in each office -- this one needs a declaration re electronic writ even after the change in the SER forms etc...) If you have work in Nor Cal, I can't recommend them highly enough. (I should also mention that they just opened an office right across from CT Corporation in Glendale)

I have never had to serve court papers to anyone before. However, I was recently in a situation where I was left with no other choice but to file a civil harassment restraining order against someone who was persistently internet stalking, threatening, and harassing me. For many reasons, this person was also incredibly difficult to serve. Kraig and Gotcha Legal Services were extremely helpful in getting my court paperwork served to the individual in question. They were also conscientious and kind. I had just moved to the area, so I was feeling really lost in my situation. Even though I initially felt like it was hard to trust someone to get the job done and not scam me out of money, I didn't have a lot of time and needed someone to get the job done ASAP. Every company I spoke with was pretty rude and not willing to take 5 minutes to explain to me what I would be paying them for. Straight from a movie scene... I wish I could say more, but for the sake of privacy, I will share this: I was in a difficult situation, and as a Hail Mary, I hired Kraig for an emergency service. At the last minute, disguised in a polo shirt, Kraig planned an elaborate stakeout inside the most exclusive country club in Napa, where the story's villain frequents. Without divulging too much, Kraig served the jerk in style and simultaneously saved me from an unending legal nightmare. Absolute God send. I haven't come across such a unprofessional person Kris vorsatz is very expensive and you will have to be careful with him as he will not disclose hidden charges such as filing proof of service. He quoted me one price on phone and in person asked for higher price. He wanted additional $70 for filing proof of service. Where as that is included with most of other process servers. I asked for proof of service original papers so I can file it myself and got two weeks of run around he came late for agreed up on time in kikinkos parking lot. He will apologize and all that but that can't lessen the hassle I had go through. DO NOT HIRE HIM. I found out much less expensive($65) process servers who would do both tasks for fixed price. read more

I'm a retired American living overseas, and I needed urgent help in getting apostilles for legal documents in Sacramento, California. This entailed going to the Superior Court of California to retrieve the docs and awaiting for another doc to arrive via U.S. mail. Don't believe the prices published on the website - posted at $55, but charged me $100. Get the invoice in advance and don't fall for this bait and switch. I found Swift Legal through the California Association of Judgment Professionals, where several members highly recommended the company. When I called to ask about their fees, the person I spoke with suggested that I talk to the president, Frank Kaul, who is an expert in writs and levies. Frank called me back, and we spoke at length about my judgments and the difficult litigation I was still dealing with. He listened with genuine empathy and kindness and took the time to understand my situation and what I had been going through. I have been using Swift Legal ever since, and I couldn't be happier. They are knowledgeable, experienced, responsive, and professional, but what truly sets them apart is that they genuinely care. They make me feel like I have a partner in this years-long legal battle and that I don't have to figure everything out on my own. I only wish I had found them sooner. They just did a terrific job for me on a rush assignment dealing with a particularly difficult Sheriff's Office. They moved heaven and earth to get something done in one day. This is the second time they basically dropped everything and got something done for me that was pretty difficult. They have also finessed a few things in the San Mateo Sheriff's Office. (Frank knows the local Sheriffs and is careful to follow the procedures in each office -- this one needs a declaration re electronic writ even after the change in the SER forms etc...) If you have work in Nor Cal, I can't recommend them highly enough. (I should also mention that they just opened an office right across from CT Corporation in Glendale)

I had heard very good things about Rui and his company from my attorney. When interacting with Rui as he collected relevant data, I appreciated his impeccable manner and personal touch. I felt I was in good hands. I thought the actual serving of documents would take longer as his company is based in the South Bay, and my situation is in the East Bay. But it happened in about 24 hours from the time he received his packet from my lawyer. He was clearly prepared. While sometimes necessary, having to have documents served isn't always pleasant, but Rui and his team made it as pleasant and painless as it could possibly be. When it came time to submit the account number to the defendants bank so that I could collect the judgement award, Sam submitted the wrong account number for the defendant. Of course, the bank wrote that there was no individual by that name. I have been emailing and calling Sam repeatedly for 3 months, begging him to let me know what I can do to remedy the request to the defendants bank so that I can collect my judgement. He has not answered his phone. He has not returned my voicemails. And he has not responded to emails. It seems that Sam has taken my $390 and run. Very upsetting and I plan to file a complaint with California's better business bureau. This is all incredibly disappointing and disturbing to feel taken advantage of by those whom you hire to support you in the Justice System.

I've never been involved in a legal dispute, so I wasn't quite sure how everything would play out with the unresponsive person I was serving. After speaking to Sam, the owner, I felt that he was by far the most professional and competent. He asked me questions and understood my scenario, while other servers didn't seem to be as patient or helpful. It seemed like others wouldn't try that hard and would hit the max number of tries, coming back to ask for more money. I felt like Bear Flag would really try to get the job done within the max of 3 times. Sure enough, they did. After they received my papers, they finished the job within 48 hours. Getting the job done, and done so quickly, was a huge relief to me after months of anguish. They followed up with an email and processed the appropriate paperwork with the court within the week. Bear Flag was the most expensive option of all the process servers I talked to, but at the end of the day, they were extremely professional and responsive. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy service to get the job done.
