I had numerous questions throughout the process of buying a new home. Mr. Cohen was able to explain each step of the process of buying a new home. He didn't let me make the fatal mistake of buying something I couldn't afford. I am very picky about where I live and I took a very long time (more than two years) to find what I want. He was there every step of the way and it was obvious that he wasn't looking for a quick commission. Mr. Cohen is very knowledgeable regarding neighborhoods and how those neighborhoods would coalesce with my personality. He knew me better than a I knew myself and prevented my from making rash decisions and offers. It later turned out that he saved me a lot of money and got me into a great neighborhood. (Bayside!!!) Even though I thought I was familiar with queens, I had no idea what neighborhood to live in. I was shopping by price and if I found a property that was too good to be true (it always was) he would point out that fact. He would see that I was skeptical of his opinion and he would indulge me anyway and show me around the neighborhood to let me make a decision. At one point we took a walking tour of a neighborhood until I was convinced that the neighborhood wasn't right for me, another time while driving to a neighborhood, I exited the highway and reentered it in the other direction in mere minutes. My point is that even though he knew I wouldn't like the neighborhood he would still indulge me and let ME make up my mind for MYSELF. If I could leave ZERO stars, I would. Ron Cohen, one of the co-owners of this completely illegitimate realty practice, is NOT to be trusted. I typically never leave reviews on Yelp unless I'm really shocked and unsatisfied about a particular service, and this happens to be one of those times.I wanted to rent out my 1 BR apt in queens and Ron Cohen contacted me to "represent" me and find me a tenant. He found a couple who wanted to move in and we signed the lease contract. He also claimed that he took a deposit down and held it in escrow. The couple ended up having issues with their credit but Ron assured me that he had everything under control. It took them a whole month to gather the right documents for the coop board to review, and every day, I had to touch base with Ron only to hear "tomorrow, everything will be settled" even though that wasn't true. Each time, he lied to me. In addition, I asked him repeatedly to provide me with a copy of the signed lease contract and documentation showing that the deposit was taken. He kept on lying to me AGAIN and telling me he was going to send it but he never did! This was to cover himself in case something happened, such as the prospective tenants not having all the required documents as he promised they would. At the end, the tenants backed out, leaving me having to pay for my mortgage/maintenance, with no contract in my hands or ability to at least get the deposit. Ron literally told me "there is no contract or deposit." He is a shady, unscrupulous person who knows how to talk the talk, but is completely untrustworthy and IS NOT your agent, even though he says he is. DO NOT do any business with him under any circumstances. I am so dissatisfied, I hope his practice fails because he completely deserves it after the way he treated me and my family. read more

He sat with us and got all our information, set up an account for us online to send us houses we might be interested in (which also let us put in notes for him to know what we liked and didn't like), and was great at getting us into the houses for showings.
