At 6:20 pm tonight at Safeway in Hermiston, OR, I was victim of a robbery. Some of my personal…read morebelongings sitting on my cart, all my groceries, and the cart itself disappeared. I had left them for approximately 60-90 seconds parked out of the way in the view of the cashiers, to walk into a nearby aisle to pick up a very few other products before heading out. When I came back a minute later, it was all gone, along with my gloves. I walked all over the store looking for the cart for nearly 10-15min, even outside, fearing for my stolen gloves. The store was not very busy, and there was a lot of staff there tonight. How could my whole full cart disapear in such a short period of time in everyone's sight? I felt like I was victim of a robbery but it did not make sense: why would someone steal my cart? My gloves, I would understand, but my unpaid groceries? This felt more like a bad prank... So, I decided to walk through the doors where staff leaves supplies and through which we had to walk to access the restrooms. There are carts parked there sometimes, away from the patrons' sight. Nothing. I decided to ask a staff member for help. He did not even have to think about it and took me right to the customer service desk, look, then reach underneath the desk and gave me my gloves back!!! What the f***? And what about the groceries? "We put them back." "All of them" I answered, chocked; the cart was full. They emptied it all in less than 90 seconds. All of the shelves were empty, I had to rush to grab as many as possible of the groceries I wanted to buy but some were all already gone. It took me twice as long to do my groceries after a 10h shift with bearly a lunch break, trying to help the community. I was exhausted and hungry. And today is my freaking birthday! I would have never thought I should worry about being treated like this in any Safeway. I tried the store customer service, the lady there hid into the office when I went to see her. I left to put my groceries away and came back, tried for 10 min without luck so I left and called from the car on my way home. I talked to the manager who told me something stupid: "we had to put your groceries away because of perishable items". There was barely any perishable beside yogurt (which is fermented) and a few produces. No meat. That is the most stupid answer ever. 90 seconds max I was gone. And my gloves were there, which clearly indicated that I was coming back... Shortly!!! I worked in the food industry so that obviously was a bad excuse for either a terrible prank, especially since I ran into an empty cart with only 1 meat item in it, sitting in an aisle instead of a fridge. Is this because my Licence plate is from another states? Or is this because of my accent? I heard of discrimination at Safeway but never believed it as I have been shopping at Carrs and Safeways all over the North West and never had a problem! This is unacceptable and extremely stressful. I talked to a few persons tonight about my terrible experience: everyone leave their carts unattended for a bit, and it seems this never happened to anyone elese. The only good point to this terrible affront is that I spent way less money than I attended to.

They have lots of choices for food and snacks There's a decent selection of workout accessories. You can find pet supplies, some clothing, make up, kitchenware, garden supplies, etc. A lot of it is seasonal, so check their ads or come here often for updates. The customer service was fabulous. They also helped us find the best Mexican restaurant in town and they gave us several other dining options. We left there with a cart full of beer, wine, snacks and workout gear !

I have been a customer since the first day this store opened and have been really happy with it up…read moretill today when I was asked to open my purse and show the owner/ manager what was in it. I was shopping for vitamins and was accused of put them in my purse. So I then told her sure I will open it . I then said her I will just poor it out on the floor so you can see it all. I then put the contents back in and stood up then said to her I will empty my pockets and hold my coat open as well and after I proved I had not any merchandise in my position she then turned red in the face and walked away. I feel she could have said I'm sorry for the inconvenience and embarrassment to me . Keep in mind this is a store that I have sent people to because I was a happy customer however after this I will hesitate to send good people there to shop.

Once i went cash out all of a sudden he didn't have any money in the till even though we just paid cash for some stuff if you sell lottery, you're supposed to redeem it in honor as well places a damn joke guy at the front counter was obviously playing games with Red your company clown. On a sidenote, there's a new restaurant there and the girl working there was very pleasant, but the guy at the front of the store awful.

I'm often on Interstate 84, there is family in Idaho, so in three summer months I capitalized on my geographic luck and slip off highway. Have you tried to find a seeded watermelon lately? It's not that easy. Do yourself a favor and get back to the seedy side. Bellinger Farms sits about four miles northwest of I-84 at exit 188. Go past the Pilot Truck Stop, through Stanfield and you're there! Fresh fruits, unique jams, preserves and jellies, a little candy and neat odds and ends line the walls. Super friendly staff too.
