Gourmet gourmet catering is a full service catering company that not only provided food, but also includes the rentals of tables, chairs, linens and bar service! Gourmet gourmet did not dissapoint. Their food was amazing! I still have people raving about how tender the brisket was and how savory the salmon was. We just had our wedding in June at the California Botanic Garden in Claremont and used Gourmet Gourmet for catering, tables, chairs, linens, string lights and bar service. Everything was absolutely perfect and it turned out so so beautiful! We worked with Shelly Mei in coordinating our event and she was so nice and readily available via text and email for any little question we had. We had a plated, sit down dinner with an open bar and signature cocktails. We received multiple compliments from our guests about how good the food was and how smooth the whole event turned out. We picked the Salmon with champagne sauce and the Chicken Piccata, both with caramelized onion mashed potatoes and veg for dinner and it was incredibly delicious! The appetizers were amazing also and we especially loved the stuffed mushrooms with sausage (also made vegetarian for some of our guests). We are beyond grateful for Shelly Mei and the GG team. We toured a lot of venues in the LA area after our engagement, and so many of them seemed like the catering came with a serious wedding surcharge. This is long over due. I can't thank Aubrey, Mark and the team at Gourmet Gourmet Catering enough for their attention to detail and outstanding customer service. Their expertise made our wedding day more than we could ever imagine and I am forever grateful for such a perfect day! We got married in the summer months at Bridges Auditorium and despite not having centralized air, Gourmet Gourmet brought in a cooling unit that is disguised as part of the ballroom wall. If you are planning a summer wedding at this venue, I highly recommend a wedding ceremony at 5:30pm or later. Doing so will allow for the main ballroom to cool down with the air system they provide and will make for a much more comfortable experience for you and your guest. Ok, so let's talk about the food. I completely went out on a limb in choosing Gourmet Gourmet Catering. In fact, they more or less chose me because if you reserve Bridges as your venue, you have to utilize their catering company. And let me tell you, THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! You guys, their food is SO GOOD. We went to two group tasting and they give you a full on dinner experience. Not just little samples, but a full plate of food lol. They also do a variety of display and tray passes Hors D' Ouveres. It's been 7 months since our wedding and people are still telling us our wedding had the best wedding food they've ever had. And They are not lying. The food and service is just that good! I attached a spreadsheet of our menu so you can see what we ended up getting, but let me tell you, the the Gourmet Stilton Salad, Honey Garlic Sriracha Salmon, Filet Mignon and Mushroom Lasagna are indescribably delish. If and when my husband and I have a baby, we will definitely be using Gourmet Gourmet Catering for our baby shower. My son's wedding was at La Villa Bella in Upland and one of the preferred caterers was Mark with Gourmet Gourmet. We went to the tasting and that really sold us. Everything we tried was delicious. I know you don't go to a wedding for the food, but this food was fantastic! There were 3 passed hors d'oeuvres. We chose the Cuban Cigars, Bruschetta & the Artichoke Phyllo rolls. All wonderful and the guests were raving about them. For our dinner, we did a buffet with the Chicken Piccata, wild rice, veggies, salad and rolls. We also had an Artichoke/mushroom lasagna for our vegetarian guests. I could not tell you which was my favorite. My son and daughter in law did not want a traditional wedding cake so they opted for the cut cheesecake and mini chocolate cakes. I've struggled to get together the words to express my gratitude towards Gourmet Gourmet, particularly Kai. I got married at California Botanic Garden in May 2022. From the beginning Kai and his team went above and beyond to make me feel supported and heard throughout the whole wedding planning process. Kai is organized, thorough, and so detail oriented. It really eased a lot of the wedding planning stress. Since GG offers inclusive packages, it took a lot of stress out of having to find and juggle multiple vendors. (My package came with things like tables, chairs, linens, bar, catering, cake etc.) The customization of many of these elements took the "stiffness" of other prepacked weddings and really allowed me to make it my own! As far as the wedding day, I could not have dreamed of a better team to put together my big day. AGAIN, Kai and his entire team went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make the day go smooth. It was absolutely perfect. The staff was so kind and accommodating for all the guests. The food was AMAZING. I have guests literally asking me to email Kai to get the recipe for certain items we had on the menu that night! Even the pickiest of eaters in my family enjoyed the food! That says A LOT. We had the pleasure of working with Vanessa and Gourmet Gourmet Catering for our October 2017 wedding at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden in Claremont. When selecting our venue in the preceding March, we immediately appreciated Vanessa's calm and thorough manner as she provided a detailed overview (but not a high-pressure hard sell) of what her catering services would involve. The lovely venue itself, ability to customize, and pricing (inclusive of the cake, ceremony and centerpiece flowers, linens, etc.) quickly won us over. In the ensuing seven months up to our wedding, we found Vanessa to be very responsive, informative, and cheerful with our questions and ideas for our ceremony and reception. On event-day, she implemented even our little details, and from much experience, had the catering fully under control. We suggest that the add-on for the day-of coordinator for the ceremony should not be seen as optional. We were grateful that we used Vanessa's vendor, Angie, as we're not sure how we would have otherwise managed the ceremony schedule. Vanessa could also have filled us in a bit more in advance on the botanic garden staff and the excellent job they would do shuttling the guests on the tram; we thought that there were some gaps in logistics that turned out to be more than covered. Altogether, we had a most positive experience with Vanessa, and highly recommend her and the Gourmet Gourmet crew. read more

Gourmet Gourmet did an excellent job hosting my wedding. We had it at Bridges Auditorium, are we were not disappointed. There were a few small hiccups, but they were promptly fixed. Vanessa and Aubrey were amazing and took care of us completely. The venue the day of the wedding exceeded our expectations and impressed our guests. This is without a doubt the worst company I've ever worked with they ruin my daughters wedding ran out of food for guests They didn't bring enough food to serve our group even though I over ordered 20 meals. they were off by a full third of the guest we had at the wedding over 35 people only got salad And how do they offer to make it right by refunding the meals they didn't serve You may use them for your event but I would not trust them with the wedding and your reputation these people are not honorable Eight months after my daughter's wedding I'm still so angry at what these people did and how they destroyed my reputation because they couldn't provide the service that they said they would A year later still so angry. How do I get my name back when they destroyed it Years later I still have people who comment on the fact I ran out of food at my daughters wedding. Gourmet Gourmet & it's owner Mark are the best! I have used them over the years for business catering, as well as personal catering, and also for rentals, etc. Their service is bar-none. They make everything happen, and I never have a problem or issue with them, they are the most professional and perfectly executed event staff company ever. Their food is also aaahhhmmmmaaaaaazing. Their chef, Alex, is so incredibly talented and his food never disappoints. The one thing I truly appreciate about their service is their ability to handle larger crowds and venues. I work at a college campus/business campus setting, and they are able to manage larger size venues and do it with professionalism and a courteous, friendly staff. You will most likely NEVER be sorry if you hire them for your event, I highly recommend them. read more

I got married six months ago... and people are STILL talking about the food and complimenting the caterer. Gourmet Gourmet truly did an incredible job. I was very nervous, as we were having a destination wedding to Southern California so we didn't have the chance to taste the food ahead of time. However, working with Aubrey alleviated my fears. She was just so organized and answered all my (countless!) questions so quickly. She never made me feel like I was asking too many questions, or like I was being a bother (though I'm sure I was!). She made everything as transparent as possible, and I was never hit with any additional costs that she hadn't already made me aware of. Everything was just beautiful. The setups were gorgeous, and the food was delicious. My husband and I still talk about the lamb hors d'oeuvre (we both regret that we didn't track down an entire tray and keep it for ourselves! It was that good). Afterward, they cleaned everything up and even sent the leftover cake and a huge flower display to our hotel room. Like I said, I worked with Aubrey mostly, though I worked with Vanessa as well during the final weeks. They were both wonderful, and so nice! I'm not easily impressed by people's work performance, but I was so impressed by both Aubrey and Vanessa. read more
