He came early to make the 4 columns and 2 balloon arches we ordered for our school promotion. He made them towards the front of the school, but our stage for the ceremony was towards the back. Instead of staging them and putting where they should go, he dumped it on us to do it because he had to drive to do another school's ceremony balloons. He claimed that it wasn't heavy, but it took 4 people to move. If he had made them where the stage was, then it wouldn't have been a big deal. It was a lot of work getting the columns and arches where they needed to be. For that, knocked off 1 star. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't pay in full until I am satisfied with the service. Great service but the billing process could be improved. The staff were all very kind and knowledgable, and showed up promptly to their appointments. Furthermore, the owner quickly replies to messages and made the scheduling process easy peasy. However, when billing came around, I got a quote for $230 and was billed over $400 due to duplicate charges and hidden fees. The price was eventually reduced due to billing errors but was still $100 over the quoted amount. Make sure you communicate with it the owner before hand to get all things squared away, and to double check your invoices for mistakes. Still would overall recommend. read more

I emailed him at least 20 times with questions and pictures for prices etc. He was always patient and helpful. Most balloon places are closed on Sunday's but Matt came out anyway after he got out of church and did all the balloon work , arches, clusters, etc. Words can not express my appreciation for his beyond excellent customer service and professionalism. He was on time and quick , he was fine in no time at all. He is very friendly and personable and quite funny too. He did such a great job I already booked him for my next party and I will only use him for any balloon work I ever need done. He has earned a customer FOR LIFE. If you want to throw a party a have ANY ballooning done in the So Cal area from the valley to Diego call Matt at Its a Gas. This company really values their customers and it shows as soon as they pick up the phone. I decided to purchase a helium tank and Matt answered all of my questions. One of the items that he quoted me was out of stock, but Matt remedied the situation and got me what I needed without hesitation. The delivery was flawless. Armand delivered my tank and he called ahead of time to make sure I knew exactly when to expect him. He was very respectful and wore a mask and gloves (due to covid-19) while walking me through how to use the tank. Armand also gave me pointers and patiently answered all my questions. This is an A+ company with top notch service. I will definitely be using them again. read more

I spend a few hundred dollars for balloons for my event and for the most part I got what I needed except they didn't actually help me arrange the balloons as I had requested for the front entrance and dessert table. And since they tied really short strings to those balloons, I couldn't even arrange it myself if I wanted to. Some of the balloons also did not last a day before losing air and is now sadly laying on the floor. However it lasted for the event so that sufficed. Plus those balloons I purchased myself and only paid them to inflate. They are quick to respond to emails but are not very detailed oriented. So there was a lot of back and forth before I received a final quote and when I finally felt comfortable they would deliver what I needed. Overall, a bit disappointed because the balloons were a focal point for my party and some elements had to be scrapped. However I may hire them again but would request they attach photos to my final invoice and/or request that the person setting up the balloons speak to me in person to make sure it's understood how all the balloons needed to be arranged. For this event the balloon arrangements were fairly simple so I could imagine being really disappointed for something more complex. read more

I had a birthday party for my son last year in September and needed a helium tank last minute. This is the only place with a reasonable price with such an appreciation for their customer. Matt helped me by bringing it by since he was nearby the day before the party. I went through a lot last year unfortunately and got pregnant and lets just say time flew by and I never returned the helium tank. I have been charged $100s to my bank account so I finally made time to handle this since I kept putting it off. I have a baby shower coming up and he explained that although they do not do refunds they can give me credit for the next rental. Great business :) I'm very happy.
