Oh my gosh, this company went so far above and beyond to make sure our event was perfect We had a few problems with the first 10 It was Way too big, but the owner and another crew came out and totally fixed it into the night. They worked to make sure that everything we wanted would be there Their equipment is clean and it was put up Purfect All the chairs and tables were clean. The linens were absolutely perfect. We could not be happier with our decision to trust Over The Top Speciality Event Rentals with making our vision come true for our backyard wedding in June of 2021! My now husband and I had been together for 10 years before we got married, so we (or I) had a lot of time to dream about our future wedding. Of course we had always imagined having our reception at a venue, but due to the pandemic, we decided to have it in my father-in-law's backyard instead. At the beginning, the thought of planning a wedding ourselves--even a small, backyard one--was daunting; my now husband and I didn't know where to start. On top of that, we are both teachers, which means that we have very little free time. Fortunately for us, my sister knew Allison and helped set up our first meeting. That was when we met Allison and Aaron, and we immediately could tell that they were experts in event planning. From that moment forward, we had an open line of communication about our wedding. They listened to our ideas, and gave us their professional input for how we could realistically achieve our vision with our budget. They were also extremely flexible throughout the entire process. Our wedding plans evolved so much as California's Covid restrictions loosened, and they never made us feel "bad" for making so many changes. Well Allison and Aaron TRANSFORMED my father-in-laws backyard! Now that it's all said and done, I cannot imagine our wedding reception being anywhere else (nor do I wish that it was). To say that the set up was beautiful is an understatement! They exceeded our expectations (and everyone else's--we got so many compliments!). In addition to the rentals, we decided to have them do our florals, and everything turned out so, so beautiful and cohesive. We also decided to have Allison be our Day-of-Coordinator, and this was one of the best decisions that we made throughout our entire wedding planning process! She has so much experience, her attention to detail is amazing, plus she was super available and responsive: I could email, text, or call her anytime, whether it was to ask for her opinion or to vent (as a bride, this is important!). On the week leading to the party many of the guest tested positive for COVID. I informed Allison of the problem and that I needed to cancel 2 of the farm tables and some of the chairs. She was so gracious and quickly assisted me and also refunded me for the cancelled tables and chairs. I will never rent from another company. First, I would love to give them more than 5 stars, but due the fact that I can't I'm going to give a RAVING review. So initially, we booked with another rental company, however we didn't submit the deposit at the appropriate time so the day was unavailable. So I went searching on yelp and found "Over the top." They were sooooooooo helpful. They understood that what I wanted and was able to provide it. They even gave me options that I never knew were available. I will definitely be using them for future events!!! Lastly, the day of the event, it was so windy. Which made the plugs from the lights come out. I called them, and they tried to help me via the phone but it wasn't working. They stopped what they were doing and came back and made everything as new. The chairs, heaters and table linens were great and exactly as described. The customer service was terrible. Our daughters wedding was scheduled December 30th and I tried to call Allison 8 times on her cell phone and the business number 3 days before the event and I did not get a response to any messages I left. Finally she responded to a text message, which I felt was completely unprofessional. I understand the holidays made for a busier than normal schedule, but the customer service was stressful and not something that you want to go through before a wedding. The contract said the items would be picked up the day after the wedding. When I finally received a phone call 3 days later, Allison was not aware that the wedding items had not yet been picked up! She offered a discount on future rentals to make up for the lack of customer service. I will not be using this company ever again for any kind of rentals. No one should have to go through the lack of communication the the week leading up to the event/day before a wedding. read more
