I paid to have my engine replaced and was given a 1-year warranty. About 3 1/2 weeks later, in February, the engine blew. I contacted Misah and he told me to bring the car back so he could look at it. My car then sat for about a month with almost no updates. When I finally asked what was going on, I was told the transmission was bad. I asked multiple times for a quote for the transmission and never received one. I eventually had the car towed to another shop. As soon as they removed the engine cover, they discovered a huge hole in the engine. Misah then told me a dealership had actually replaced the engine -- not him -- which was the first time I was ever told that. He also questioned how the other shop even knew the transmission was bad. After I sent him a video of the hole in the engine, he claimed the shop that replaced it was saying it wasn't even the same car they repaired. Then I was told the engine would be replaced under warranty. After another month of waiting, I asked again for an update and Misah said his insurance company was "looking into it" and trying to find a motor. He also claimed his insurance company had already sent out 3 people who supposedly determined the starter caused catastrophic engine failure -- which made no sense because the car started perfectly before the engine blew. When I finally spoke directly with the insurance company on May 26th, they told me they had NEVER sent anyone to inspect my vehicle and that the claim had only been opened that same day. At that point it became clear I was being lied to repeatedly. I then asked the insurance company if I could remove my vehicle from the shop without affecting the claim, and they told me yes. Since I'm 5 months pregnant and already stressed out from this situation, my boyfriend handled picking up the vehicle. When he asked for the keys, Misah refused to give them to him and walked away. His own son eventually had to use a tool to unlock the door and get the keys and had to tell them just give them their keys. Then things escalated even further. Misah personally called a lieutenant he knew and falsely claimed my boyfriend had a gun. Police arrived within minutes. After speaking with officers, Misah changed his story and said he only "thought" my boyfriend had a weapon -- despite my boyfriend wearing jogging pants and never threatening anyone. No weapon was found and no police report was taken. And then told my boyfriend he is going to call and have the claim canceled. This entire situation has been stressful, unprofessional, and unacceptable. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this shop to proceed with caution. VCA auto body is the body shop and performance auto center is his mechanic shop working under 2 different names

I drove past Fred's Auto one day and decided to give him a shot. He quoted me only $5k to fix the entire left side of my car (which included very expensive doors that were about $1500 a piece). He is so personable, welcoming, negotiable, reasonable, professional, friendly, and more! He even offered to pick up and drop off my car for me so I wouldn't have to uber! I cannot say enough amazing things about him and his shop. I can see why he's been in business since the '80s! We received little to no proactive updates and had to call repeatedly just to get basic information. Most responses were vague ("waiting on parts"), and eventually our calls were not being returned at all. When we went in person, we found that several items we had been told were completed were not actually done. After six weeks, the car was finally returned and in worse condition than when it was dropped off. The front passenger door was not properly connected to the power system, making both the door and window unusable. There was visible damage to the interior, including scratches on the seats and in the rear of the vehicle that were not present before. The passenger side mirror that was supposedly replaced already had a crack. We were also told the vehicle would receive a full interior detail. I brought the car back four additional times for this, and each time the detailing had not even been started despite being told it would be taken care of. Eventually, I had to stop bringing it back and just take the car as-is because I needed it. This was not just inconvenient, it was unacceptable. The lack of accountability, follow-through, and basic quality of work is ALARMING. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop to anyone and would strongly caution others against trusting them with their vehicle.

He was patient with me in regards to my drop off/pick up dates (as I am in education full time) and responded to all the questions I had about the process. I found 4 Seasons Auto through a search project for 02 sensors problems on Yelp. I sent an inquiry requesting an inspection along with advice and JJ replied back almost immediately after I sent. I explained the problem and gave all the details. He was able to accommodate me the next day to assess my car. After work, I drove over to have the inspect my vehicle and he gave my car a thorough look over, then provided an explanation with solutions and came up with a (first) cost effective way to correct the problem.
