We had four LARGE trees removed last year and they did an amazing job. From the time they came out to give us a quote to the time they were done was all efficient. My electric company sends out fliers with your bill that provide you with discounts for local services. When I called to inquire, they recommend GP Tree Service but I wish I had gone with Quesenbury Tree Service instead. Although Gary was & his staff are incredibly friendly & completed an estimate in a timely fashion. The time it took for them to show up & complete the job was the complete opposite. I had asked for a rotting maple tree to be removed. It had been cut by the previous owners but never maintained, had I left it alone; it would've fallen into the road. During the estimate process, Gary clearly stated that what supplies they would need to carry out the task; never once did he mention a crane. It took roughly a month for them to come out (considering summer is their busy season I found this reasonable) & they called to let me know they didn't forget about me. However, when his son finally did show he stated that he couldn't do the job because he needed another truck that wasn't available to him. He then went on to explain that they would need a crane- this was news to me. I was annoyed because I feel that during an estimate, you clearly know what tools you'll need & it is unprofessional to show up at a job site unprepared. Even though the staff was extremely friendly, this annoyed me. Therefore we had to reschedule...multiple times because they called at least 3 times to make excuses as to why they didn't have the right trucks. I was starting to feel like they were never going to do the job. Yet when all is said & done, they did eventually show up & did a good job of removing the annoying tree & cleaning up. I'm not saying don't use their services...they're just not the most reliable ones around. I paid $1,000 to have just one tree removed!!! Quesenbury only wanted to charge me $500 but unfortunately Tom was booked all the way until late fall. read more

We have used GP tree multipule times over the past several years. Now they are definitely not the cheapest around but the service is impressive. Estimates are done quickly and Gary is very thorough. Once he did have to make a change after a problem arose and he explained how it would be fixed and different equipment had to be used which we appreciated very much. They go ubove and beyond with their sevice and that is why we use them time and time again. read more

GP Tree service took out a few trees in my backyard that were pretty much DOA. The guys were booked however, they got the job done within a fair amount of time - due to summertime tree trimming blitz of the season: summer. Very competitive in pricing and the service was extremely excellent!! I would recommend them completely without a second thought hands down! read more

If you are looking for someone to take out dead trees, these might be your guys. However, if you are looking for someone to trim live trees, look elsewhere! They sold us on their experience in shaping trees. The end result is a disaster. My trees are a mess. When I had them come back to fix the issues, they left me with a quote for the same cost as their original work. If I conducted business this way, my company would be closed.
