I did not know switchblades are legal in Illinois. How cool is that? This great little knife shop has some very cool switchblades and tons of other sharp things! You need a knife...come here! Really friendly and helpful staff. I'm not good with a knife. In fact, hubby refuses to sharpen mine after I've almost cut my fingers off on numerous occasions. I drove 122 miles to there brick and mortar store in Troy Il. The selection was awesome prices Fair, What was so off putting was the blatant disdain for the overseas produced knives. The owners said "he doesn't mess with them that's his sons deal" Well sir I have never heard someone Dis there own products that a customer had interest in. Real bad form! GP Knives is awesome. I ordered a Kabar Extreme D2 Fighting Knive on a Saturday and it arrived on Tuesday. This Kabar Knive was absolutely authentic and it had a great price. I actually found it about $5.00 cheaper on another website but I opted to still purchase it at GP Knives because they had excellent reviews. I couldn't find ant reviews about the competitor that had the knife a little cheaper. Service and reputation means more to me than a few bucks. I'm so happy I found this place. It was my boyfriends birthday and he was in the hospital. I looked everywhere for this knife he wanted and it was sold out everywhere. I found it on ebay and before I could get my credit card it was sold out! I looked for days and found GPKNIVES, when I saw it was in stock I had to double check bc it just seemed to good to be true. I thought maybe it was a scam or something bc nooobody had this knife, but I checked the reviews and it seemed legit. I ordered and I'm so happy, instead of waiting 5/6 weeks it was less then one week! my only complaint is that I paid for 2 day shipping on thursday and its Monday night and I'm still waiting. But I blame UPS for that more then GPKNIVES. All in all it was a great experience, they made my week, it was so easy and simple to use and I would def recommend it to everyone :-) read more

I ordered a $200 pen through GPKnives. Within 3 weeks of receiving it, I was having mechanical difficulties with it. When I asked about returning it, they said that they have a 1-week policy for returns but assisted me in getting warranty coverage for it. I really don't want the pen, given the unimpressive quality I have seen with it so far, but they won't take it back for a refund or a store credit. If you're like me, and you don't read the return policy of every company you buy from, then buyer beware. Next time by business will go to a company that offers better customer service. read more

I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately I do not. Two out of the three experiences I have had with with this particular dealer have been less than satisfactory. Two knives I bought from here came with significant amounts of rust on the blades which is pretty unprofessional considering I paid over 200$ for each of these products. However, the third experience was flawless so that was good. I just wished they thoroughly checked the product before shipping it out because its a hassle to receive and then ship back because of inadequate storage and costumer service on their part. Probably will not buy from here again and its just too bad. read more
