I mean there were a few, but they were far away, like in Torrance... or basically, outside the 0.5 mile radius I'm willing to drive cuz I barely had gas =P So I search some website and I found someone, but I had to wait forever. And this was around 9am. I called most everyone that said they were open @ 9am, but no answer. Gave up. Two hours later, sis finally tells me of a notary place near Jollibee and Seafood City... and I do recall a big Notary sign in blue letters between Little Caesar's Pizza and Jollibee. So I drive there, but they're out to lunch and won't be back 'til like 2 hours later. I'm like screw this, I'll just go to Torrance Crossroads. *sigh* Oh but wait a minute! I see another notary sign near a beauty salon on the corner of Moneta and Carson St! Crap, I drove too fast... Ooh ooh! Another one next to it! Dial... Realtor... In a big yellow sign, notary. I park in the PC computer place's parking spot cuz theirs would be hard to get out of... I ring the doorbell. No answer. WTF. Screw that. It's lunch, super hot, I got no gas... lemme make a U-ey and go to 76. I make the U-turn and lo and behold... ANOTHER notary place!!! Wut the hell. They're everywhere! 0_0 How come I never noticed them. And they're all within the 0.5 mile driving distance. I pull in, notice the scrolling lights and yay! Just one customer ahead. Actually, since that guy looks like he was gonna take forever, the guy at the desk took mine as being a notary newbie, never realized how short it would take. There was another filipino lady there, and it seemed like they were a couple who owned the place. Located in the PSR Center, this place is on the first floor and probably the only suite I know that looked as if it was opened. It's right between the big Samoan church and 76 gas station. The business card says they do income tax, computerized bookkeeping, payroll & sales tax returns, individual, partnership & corporation taxes, notary service, and fast refund. I just needed to get one page notarized and it cost me $10, which I guess is the standard. I don't even think they need yelp, cuz it seems they get by through word of mouth, but I'm just so happy right now I feel like telling somebody =)

Before going, I priced out fees with H&R Block and found that PSR was very competitive but an actual CPA reviewed my tax return compared to H&R Block where it's just a tax filer who went through a tax course. The company staff was very friendly and the lady who works the front told me it was a family business that has been there for over 40 years so they must be doing something right. Anyway, they processed my return quickly and I got my federal and state return deposited into my checking account in about a week and they said they will save my info so when I go back next year, they can expedite the process and I got to go over all my info with a CPA. I also recommended PSR my cousin who owns a Pizza restaurant in the Torrance area and he was extremely satisfied with the monthly booking keeping services the company offered and he has recommended additional clients. I have also gone back for notary services which is quick and inexpensive. Would recommended to others...
