So, here we go. I show up and the guy at the counter tells me only two ahead. Ok, I wait....and wait....and wait. Whole time rap is blaring and barber are shooting bull with each other, texting, etc. It's ok, perhaps its a new generation thing, so I continue to wait. Finally chair comes open, and.....some dude walks right in and hops in the chair. What is going on? i ask. Terse reply, well this guy was here and just stepped outside. Both, the preppy douche, and the barber douche are smirking. Ok, fine. I need a haircut, so just let it go and get it done. So, I wait. And finally a chairs opens, barber there has no idea what he is doing. I tell him don't line my face, and he goes and does it. At this point I am pretty fed up. I left the place, with lot less than stellar service. To put it bluntly, if you are an educated adult, avoid this hole like the plague. This place is for homies to snapchat, bs, waste time. Similar to adolescent kids, who do what they do without reason. If you want a processional service, and grown folks..... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

This is the place that I started taking my Dad to a few years ago and he's not wanted to go anywhere since. We have never had to make an appointment and instead just roll on in. The average wait time for us is about 30 minutes because there are always plenty of customers. From my perspective I really enjoy the oversized and comfy black chairs with direct views of flat screens in the walls which makes not being entertained not an option at this place. This place to me is like a stylish version of the neighborhood barbershop. It's a place that you come to where the barbers are your friendly and competent and you never worry about them doing a botched job. I usually ask them to also trim the ear and nose hair for my Dad which they are willing to accommodate. Haircuts are $15 bucks which is a little on the pricey side but you come here for a haircut and a cool setting so I feel that it is priced according to what you get. read more

made a reservation for a cut and shampoo. I called during the day and asked if they do full shaves, which they said yes and told us to arrive 15 minutes early for my son's appointment to add that on. When we arrived, we were greeted and told to sit down. I looked at the person and said we have a reservation which then was replied OK go sit down. I then had to say don't you want to know who I am they said yes, I told them I name they sought, and said, go sit down , when it was time for the haircut, the barber asked very few questions, and had to redo the cut a few times to get it to where it was correct. No shampoo is offered as requested, no shave with a performed as requested they rang us up and we were on our way. while they were quick, felt like we were being rushed out, and they evidently didn't check their own system to see what we had requested to have done. I came in here this morning to get shaved for a wedding I will be attending tonight. The place I normally go, in Birmingham, is currently closed due to the dream cruise being this weekend. This place seemed like a good second option. I came first thing in the morning when they opened and was attended to pretty quickly. Here's how the rest of my experience was: They sat me down and leaned the chair back and what not, they (not at all gently) rubbed a relatively warm, wet towel on my face for about 5 seconds. They then lathered what looked like a Gillette bottle of shaving cream on my face and got right to shaving. From my experience, places will usually use a hot, wet towel 2 or three times to really soften up your hair follicles. Some places will even use cleanser and conditioner to help that process even more. When the gentleman began shaving my face, it was painful from the very beginning. Opposed to being a very relaxing experience, I was EXTREMELY uncomfortable for the entirety of the shave. After he was done, he politely informed me that I had a couple of red spots on my chin. I just smiled, handed him the money and walked out. When I got to my car, I looked in the rear view mirror and noticed that the entire underside of my chin was covered in bleeding razor bumps (I seriously wish I had taken a picture to show you). I also got home to notice that there were spots all over my face that they missed, and that one of my side burns was about a half inch longer than the other, and neither were lined up well at all. So instead of enjoying my day, I get to do everything I can to make sure my face isn't entirely broken out for the wedding that I will be attending tonight. Thank you, GQ Salon!! Don't bother coming in this joint. You will feel like fish out of water the min you walk in. This shop seems to give preference to a certain crowd first. There is something very shady about this place. I waited 45 mins in the lobby only to be asked come back. No receptionist nothing. How do you run a business like this? read more

This place is great. It's started getting busy but it's worth the wait. I would advise getting an appointment but walk ins are welcome. They do a surprising job with kids as well. The fades are tight and the scissor cuts are consistent. The people are all good at cutting. They are not open on Mondays which sucks. read more

Went in today after work and got what is easily one of the worst haircuts I've ever gotten. Guy straight up cut the side of my head with a straight razor and made me bleed. Rushed my haircut and missed numerous spot on my head giving a basic 1/4 inch buzz cut. Hopefully it was just a bad day on his part but the haircut was mediocre at best. He should have spent more time focusing on the basic haircut I asked for instead of rushing it so he could cut his friends hair next. read more

Wow, I heard about this place from a friend and it did not dissapoint!! I walked in and was asked to wait for a few minutes until the barber on the end sat me down in his chair. The equipment they use is top of the line and I felt very comfortable throughout the whole process. Very friendly people and would definitely recommend this place if you need a new place to go. read more

I would give zero stars if that was an option. Do not go into this place if you want a decent haircut. Frank cut my hair, and this guy is better suited to being a butcher - not a barber. He rushed through my haircut, and the entire left back side was a completely different length! After a month of wearing a hat and letting my hair grow back out, my old barber was able to repair the damage that Frank did. read more
