I usually have a good experience here but today was really bad. There's usually only one lady there when I go and she always does a good job in my brows. Today there was a younger woman. .. I wish I would have thought to get her name, but I was so upset. I didn't even think about it ..first she asked me if I plucked in between service and I said no I never pluck. I told her that I was trying to grow my eyebrows out and I just want a cleanup. This is what she did and blaming it on me saying that I have pieces of my eyebrow missing I have never had a problem with the lady that was in a chair next to her and she told me I should've waited on her.... Well I'm sorry I didn't think that she was incompetent at doing her job !! The other person had someone in her chair ... so when she called me over I went to her ... this was so unacceptable... and after this I doubt I will ever be back ... who knows how long this will take to grow back I should've knew something was wrong when her thread kept breaking as she was threading my brows smh .. I've been going here twice a month for the past 2 years ... so clearly it's a her problem !! read more

I wanted lash extensions full volume she did what she wanted to do and they weren't full volume. Then wanted to charge me $150 and had a bunch of excuses. My eyes burned the whole time she was doing my lashes. I will not be going back and this isn't my first time here the service is becoming horrible. I used to always go to this salon to get my eyebrows done, truly a loyal customer. I went in today and asked for a CLEAN UP that's it and the lady said she could do it. As soon as she handed me the mirror I busted out in tears as I looked and saw she threaded off most of my eyebrows. I told her my eyebrows are thick and she proceeded to tell me "this is your normal thickness" I cried even harder and proceeded to show her pics of my eyebrows almost like I had to defend that she took them all off. My typical place that I get my eyebrows threaded at was unavailable today, so I had to quickly find another place that does great work. After yelp and google searching, I found this spot with Sunita as the main highlight. So I came here and requested Sunita's services. There was a little bit of a wait, but it was SO WORTH IT. I originally came here with a sibling with the intention of not getting anything done and just coming for support. However, my sister had a free threading coupon and gave it to me use. It's unfortunate because the ladies were nice but I had such a horrible experience, I would not return here. My sister has gone here several times and apparently the owner is very good. However, where the problem lies is with her additional employee/employees (there was only one at the time and I'm not sure if she has more). Everyone that came in only wanted the owner to work on them, however, she was working on another client at the time and was only able to do my sister's eyebrows and instructed her other employee to do mine. Of course I was hesitant after hearing that her employees weren't as good, and seeing how everyone came in preferred to wait for the owner I wasn't sure this was a good idea. I should've went with my instinct, and passed on getting my eyebrows because the employee completely messed them up, then tried to fix them to the best of her ability. They don't look alike and are two completely shapes. She then began to ask me how to fix.. if I knew I wouldn't have came there, so I left pretty upset. So fair warning, the wait will be awhile and if the owner isn't available you're probably better off going somewhere else. read more

I started to have bad reactions to waxing so I thought i would try threading again. So glad I did. Sunita is awesome! I had my brows and upper lip threaded. I let her know I had not done my lip before and she walked me through it and let me know we could takes breaks if needed. Wasn't as painful as a lip wax is. I also I formed her my brows are microbladed and that I just needed a trim and clean up. She did just that. Quick, easy to get seen as a walk in and very friendly. I will be back. read more

I use RX pure Retin-A for anti aging purposes, so threading is pretty much the only hair removal type my facial skin can handle (aside from tweezing - wax is a big no no). When looking for a place I pretty much stick to either Arab or Indian run stores. I mean this in the nicest way; they are by far THE BEST at threading! If you know me then you know that I am slightly obsessed with brows - I am finicky AF about my own and I totally judge you on yours. Sorry, not sorry. Brows literally do frame your face, so I prefer mine "on fleek" 24/7. I have been doing my own brows quite successfully for years - but sometimes you want that super straight edge perfectionism that only a good thread sesh can create. The Beauty Bar hooks me up with that perfect straight edge I am looking for, and if I of all people trust this place with my brows, I believe that you will be happy too! Why four stars? There was a younger lady who did my eyebrows and they came out great but there was an older lady who did my boyfriends and when we left he had bumps all where she threaded because she kept grabbing his skin and now it is scabbed over. When she finished with my eyebrows (which looked great after), she asked if I wanted my upper lip cleaned up. I said, sure why not? Sunita has the hands of a goddess, the work she does is absolutely flawless! I have been going to the beauty bar since I was in high school (~8 years now) and it is the only beauty place I will go to. The staff here is so caring and passionate about what they are doing, the vibes here are impeccable. Even when they are very busy they still make you feel extremely important and cared for. Everyone walks out of the beauty bar looking absolutely gorgeous! I always go here to get my eyebrows threaded and tinted. They even ask how light or dark you want your color so you always get the exact look you wanted. I just got eye lash extensions for the first time here today and I am loving the results! I went with the 'natural look' option, however they do have other options if you want yours longer or more fuller. I love love love this place and their new location is stunning (still in 12 oaks). Everything done here is absolutely painless, at most your eye might water if you have watery eyes like myself normally. This place is phenomenal!!! From the decor, cleanliness, friendliness and amazing service! I used to go to the other place, but one day I was in a bind and got to the mall about 10 minutes before closing and the lady at the other place was so rude and nasty to my daughter and I. We understood that it was close to closing, but the lady shewed us out saying she needed to sweep and close even though it was 10 minutes before their closing time. Ok, no problem. But she kept speaking rudely to us as we were leaving. I told her we spend money with her all the time that her attitude was unnecessary. I told her we wouldn't be back and she shrugged and said ok fine. I was so appalled and disheartened that so many of these businesses cared so little about customer service. I had previous experiences with just impersonal service, lack of cleanliness, overall rudeness; as though this was becoming the norm. I took a chance and walked around to The Beauty Bar...mostly just to familiarize myself with where it was so I could get there the next day and know where I was going. But when the brow technician saw me she waved and welcomed me in even though it was passed closing time at this point and her doors were closed. I didnt expect to get service that day because I was running behind, but The Beauty Bar turned my day right around....not only that ...my brows were beautifully threaded. She was very welcoming and pleasant...as were the co- owner and other tech. There was a candy dish for the babies and a nice comfy sofa while waiting for my daughter. We arrived at the salon to find out there was no record of our appointments and there wasn't anyone to assist. Being that late in the day, we couldn't get an appointment anywhere else. I have been going to Sanita for about two years and she has always been nice with a great personality and good service. This past Saturday I went for my usual clean up for my brows. I signed my name on the list as usual and waited for my turn patiently. After Sanita finished the three people before me who were already a head of me, another lady walked in and sat down. As my turn arrived Sanita stated she didn't know who was next and I advised I was next because I had been sitting there before the other woman walked in. I sat in the chair to get my brows done and as Sanita started she said the other person was next (which If she already knew this she should've said something right away instead of continuously saying "I don't know who is next") She proceeded to say the lady went to the restroom which it had been 15 minutes before I sat in the chair due to prior customers a head of me, and no sight of the lady whatsoever. During my service Sanita seemed like she had a attitude when she is generally welcoming with conversation. Once she was done with my brow threading she did not clean my brows up (wiping the hair off my face, leaving her Kleenex on my chest). My eyebrows don't look as clean as they usually do based on her feelings on who should've went first. Thanks Sanita now I have to wait another month for my eyebrows to fill back in now that you've taken off too much off based on your sorry attitude. My service was very unusual and I felt very uncomfortable with the way she treated me especially being a customer of two years. I will never go back she has lost a loyal customer who has referred many other customers to her. read more
