I'm not from the area- I had my acrylics taken off two weeks ago to allow my nails to heal and grow so I came in for a gel manicure. She used the drill to remove my cuticle- my nails are already thin from having acrylics so this made them thinner. She then informed me they didn't have the color i asked for (opi bubble bath) so I had to settle for some strange off brand she claimed was identical to bubble bath. It looked awful by the third coat so I had her remove it- she used the drill again instead of allowing me to soak it off which would keep my nails from getting even thinner. She also cut me. With tools that may or may not have been truly sanitized. And also charged me 15 dollars for this when she originally said the manicure was $8. Do not go here. read more

Updating from my previous review. I was a dedicated customer here when I first moved to Jax in 5/2016, and stuck with them for about six months. I would show up at their then posted opening time of 9:30am and would sometimes end up waiting until 10:45-11am for anyone to show up. Even though the pedicures are amazing and the manicures are great, I felt let down every time I showed up and had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for them to actually open their doors. Today, due to very bad weather and being on this side of town, I decided to stop by because I really needed to get a pedicure and didn't want to drive half an hour to my normal salon in a torrential downpour. It seemed like I was the first customer to arrive, I was greeted immediately, and had a fill first. The girl who did my fill was meticulous (and has always been - I remember her from before), and didn't leave a corner untouched while filing or buffing. The paint job is spectacular as well. She then did my eyebrows (followed my request to the letter), they were done perfectly. I'm getting the pedicure right now, and as always Justin is doing an impeccable job. Unfortunately with the place I've been going the last few months, I feel like I haven't had a good pedicure since leaving here (and I've been paying the same price). Granted, I did show up at 11:15 today and knew they'd be open by now. If they've fixed the opening time issue, I'll be happy to become a regular customer again! read more

I drove around for awhile looking for an open nail salon, and every place I looked up and went to was closed because it is Sunday but this place was open. I'm so glad it was cause it had excellent service and I was treated so nicely! They have me a drink and the foot scrub was great!! I'll be back! read more

I was disappointed when I put my foot on the ground as soon as the pedicure was over. My polish was very nice but that cheese grater they use tore the bottom of my left foot up. I had to put a thick bandage on to be able to walk. I won't be back. read more

As they say, first impressions are lasting! I visited this nail salon years go and remember enjoying my service. So when I found myself in Orange Park (which is quite rare) on a breakfast date and in need of a pedicure, I couldn't resist stopping in! I came in for a deluxe pedicure and boy was it GOOD! Just as I remember! So many services included in the spa packages, great massage chairs, clean salon, and plenty of attendants available to service customers. Went here today as a first timer. Signed in and waited for about 8-10 minutes to have my eyebrows waxed. I ended up leaving. They DOUBLE DIP when waxing. That is NOT sanitary! I politely said no thank you and left! The sad part is the lady didn't see how this was a problem. read more

I made an appointment Saturday morning for 4 PM that afternoon. I only waited for a little while which was fine. The problem came when the technician, Philly asked me if I exercised. With her heavy accent I thought she said SSI? She then asked me again if I exercised. I said no and she looked disgusted. I said I work. She then said my legs were making her hungry reminded her of chicken legs. I was infuriated and yet shocked! I texted my husband who is at the front and let him know what she said. I got my nails done on saturday and on sunday evening a nail popped off. I went to fix it on Monday. These people are rude and unprofessional. When I arrived at the shop and explained what happened, one of them said something in their language and they all burst out laughing. On Monday evening another nail popped off. I called and was told to come back in the AM. I arrived there on Monday, the lady Nguyen, who did my nails was rude, she blamed me for the broken nail and even said i was wasting her time coming here and her having to fix my nails. She even threatened to call the cops. As if I'd get arrested for trying to fix something she messed up and i paid money for. read more

It has only been one week since I got my nails filled in. They had a very busy day and I waited. But the charges was high and everything is an add on. Even to take a small amount of length off. Now one week later four of my nails have lifted to the point of coming off. Now I will have to go some where to have a full set done as all of my nails has this problem and after paying $50 for a fill in. The guy didn't use the primer on my nails and I even asked him about it. As this was the first full in as well. I am very disappointed and have wasted my time and money. Don't go here if they are busy, they will rush through your nails and give you the worst gel manicure ever. I had to file off the ends of my nails once I got home because they didn't even bother to do that. I would have rather they just said they were busy and to come back another day than have me pay $20 for that manicure... will not be returning. read more

I came here after work to get a simple pedicure. They accept walk ins so right away they sat me in a chair. I knew exactly what I needed so I told them I need a regular pedicure and black polish. The lady turned the water on and after 30 seconds I dipped my toes in. The water was cold. I asked her to make it hot. She told me to wait and it will get there so I said nothing more. She attempted to sell me the deluxe but I told her all I needed was the basics. Then I dipped my feet in to see if the water heated up but it was still cold to me and the tub was completely full. I took my feet out and asked her to start the water over because it was too cold. She started speaking in her native tongue but unplugged the water (I guess to start over). Then a man (seemed to be the owner) came over to ask what was wrong with the water. I told him it was too cool for me. He dipped his hand in the water that was in the spa tub and told me it was hot. At this point I feel annoyed. I was going to let the lady do my pedicure after she restarted the water at the temperature I requested but I felt poor customer service when the man pretty much called me a liar by his actions. I asked for a towel to dry my feet off so I could leave. I'm not being dramatic but I wouldn't go back there because of this. Their services could be superior but I'm not willing to fight the staff to find out. So this girl named Philly did my eyebrows, she removed too much hair and had the nerve to say it just looks like that because my eyebrows curl. She kept brushing my hair up as if it's going to cover up the hair she removed. She will never touch my eyebrows again. Then they get mad when you tell them and start speaking in their native tongue to each other so you don't know what they are saying. Which to me is a punk move, say it in english. I even made an appointment to have my nails don't by a girl named Tweet and she was 35mins late. She said she was late because her mom didn't wake her up. I went and spent $146 dollars on service and it was not worth the money. I spent over 2 hours at this establishment and when me & my daughter we're done I left with a crooked nail & her kid polish job was rushed and they picked the oldest person in there to service a busy body 6 year old. I could tell the woman was frustrated because my daughter couldn't or "wouldn't" stay in front of the fan for her hands to dry AND have her toes painted at the same time. She's 6. She can only stretch so far so instead of relocating the fan so it's easier or even sitting ALOT closer she huffed and puffed so much I thought she was gonna blow the darn salon down. When my daughter was done her polish was rushed and her sticker design was literally SLAPPED on and uneven. Just an all around poor careless job. Sonny did my nails and I was not happy. My middle fingernail is crooked. After spending over 2 hours there I refused to "complain" just so they can take even LONGER doing a simple fill in with gel polish..I even left them a $10 tip after all this. I won't be back and I will be supporting black nail salons only from this point. These folks will rush through your service because they are so anxious to service the people who are waiting instead of taking their time to provide quality work. It sucks because I've been to this salon a dozen times but once my nails aren't up to par , it's time to move on to a new salon you only get 1 chance to mess up my nails. I visited for the 1st time & will not return. The lady that did my nail was ok however she pulled my arm completely across the table as she sat back with her seat not even scooted up to the table. Making me the customer uncomfortable to fit her needs. The next thing that bothered me is my daughter for a full set. When the guy doing her nails asked her if the length was ok (before he clipped) she said she wanted it a little longer & he told her it would cost more. The nail is already glued to her hand! The nail is already being used! Why would it matter if he cut higher or lower in the nail. Makes no sense at all!! Then she wanted 2 colors, pink w/ a glitter on 1 nail. He told me it was $5 extra for 2 colors!! I have been getting my nails down for 20 years & never had ANYone try to charge more for 2 colors. You are using THE SAME AMOUNT OF POLISH either way... some just comes out of 1 bottle & the rest comes out of another! Makes no sense. GQ gets five stars from me. They offer eyebrow and lip tattooing, eyelash extensions, spa level pedicures (absolutely yummy) and, of course, waxing. I've never wrote a review before but after my experience today I felt I should. I went in for a pedicure and to soak off my acrylic nails and get a new set. The pedicure was fine. She cut a toe nail crooked but I didn't make a big deal about it. However when it came to the nails I will never go back after today. I wanted them soaked off for a reason! My nails weren't lifting or cracked I just had them on for a while and wanted a new set. The lady refused to soak them off and instead decided to dig under them with an acrylic nail tip! I told her how bad it hurt and she decided to try to cut them more with clippers and then continue to dig and basically peel the acrylic off my nail. It was miserable!! They charge you to remove existing nails so why not take the time to soak them and to not rip my nail bed off! My nails are still tender hours later from this trip. I will never return to this shop. read more
