I could see how some people love this place, but the ice cream was not for us. If I had to go back I would get mango sorbet and stay away from the ice cream. We thought perhaps they went for quantity (big scoops) over quality (I only liked 2 of the 7 flavors I tried - not all of these were samples, my husband ordered two scoops and our girls had ice cream too). I asked. They were not willing to make them either. - the scoops were so small, really small. Putting a value of it, I estimated for the amount and size I was paying about $35-$40 per pint. That is just too much. - the was a pregnant lady in the waffle area. I'm gonna give Kilwins the benefit of the doubt and say they were doing a kind gesture to a person in need. But it was an awkward atmosphere, very awkward, so I do wonder a bit at least. I love Kilwins. Hope they get their act together. But be aware. It might not be the Kilwins you knew on a previous visit.

Their location seems pretty busy (which is good) but you don't really have to wait too long to order. The ambiance is very much inspired in Italy's culture. You see it on the walls, the tables and of course: the music they play. I ordered the biscotto flavored ice cream and it was absolutely delicious. Everything I needed after dinner that night.
