Every time we go to HHI we go to this place. The service is friendly and they offer samples which I appreciate. It feels more touristy inside but the service is fast and the ice cream selection is good. They have some low carb/low fat options. I tried the low carb butter pecan which was good. Honestly, I find the chaos of this place anxiety inducing. There is no line...and that's fine if you're coming in during the off season or an off hour, but when you try to go in after dinner it's insane. You have to push your way to the front and people constantly slip in front of other people. There's no rhyme or reason to who they help next, so some people end up waiting at the counter for a long time while other people are helped quickly - it reminds me of being at a bar in my early 20s, not my idea of fun. The line itself was confusing because people just made random lines all across the counter. It was hard to get to the counter to even order because of the chaos. The only thing about this place that is good is the ice cream; otherwise it's a complete cluster with bad service and chaos as an atmosphere. i honestly try to avoid it after several years of seeing the teenagers who run it get more rude and less customer service friendly. Case in point, after standing in line for 20 minutes the kid who waited on my family (i was not with them because i know how bad the service has become) never gave them their change because he was too interested in helping the two teenage girls behind them.
