It's always good to have a taco place in the suburbs that is not lame. We went there yesterday and tried a few items and we're pretty happy with what we had. I am definitely a fan of the craft sodas and the menu. I had to order the trash can nachos after seeing a video of a massive Mountain coming out of a can. That did not disappoint and I do like that every layer has cheese and beans versus just stuff slathered on top. I ordered a Barbacoa Taco with jicama and that was pretty good as well. Their corn tortillas are very good and seem homemade. My wife had a shrimp taco that also look good. It had a lot of shrimp on it. They still gave us chips and salsa to start with even though we ordered a mountain trash can nachos which made me happy because I'm a fatty when it comes to nachos. I like the decor and the employees were very nice and the menu selection seems good. I will definitely give this place another chance. It is definitely more expensive than the taco places I grew up with in Alief but it is understandable on most accounts and quality and Portion wise I think many items are worth it. The cashier/server was very nice. Good attitude. We had a California Burrito. We had it cut in half to share it. It may have been good if it was the slightest bit heated. Food is amazing. Please do not confuse with Mexican food. This is a Tex-Mex place and truly has amazing food and flavor. Service is always friendly and super fast. I usually get my food from here as take-out, so Im not 100% sure about the ambience. They have good music the times I've been there and usually pretty flexible to changing tv stations when you ask so my experience has always been positive. The pricing is a bit on the expensive side but I think the quality of food is worth it. read more

Tonight my husband and I went here for some tacos and we got more than we could possibly eat. We ordered the chicken fajita salad and oh my goodness 4 people can eat off of it. It was very good with perfectly seasoned chicken. My husband ordered beef fajitas which were so delicious and precut for you to dig right in! If that wasn't enough my husband ordered the trash nachos which were good as well. I guess he wanted to make sure we had enough food for the weekend:) The vibe in the place was so fun! This is definitely going to be our local to go taco, nachos, plato's to go place. We called in our order on a busy Friday night and it was promised in 20 minutes and they were right on time with it. I've been wanting to see what the hype was with the trash can nachos and believe me they did not disappoint. Every single layer had the fixings. They were seasoned beautifully. They lasted us 2 days. This is a great, little place! Food is good, friendly service. The place is very small and when we went, there's a small kitchen with only 2 people cooking. So if you're in a rush, I wouldn't recommend coming here as it takes some time to prepare your food. I got the fajita diablo plate and my bf got the trash can nachos. The nachos are no joke, they come in a tin can and is poured out onto your plate. i really like the fact that they layer all the toppings in between the chips instead of just putting them on top (then left with nothing but chips). so once you ate the top chips, there was a plethora of cheese, meat..etc left! The fajita tacos are delicious, very flavorful but heavy. I was surprised I hadn't reviewed this place yet. We have been so many times and absolutely love the food here! Nachos are the bomb!! Diablo tacos and enchiladas are delicious. I love the flavor!! I could eat them every night. Enchiladas have a lot of of chicken/beef/meat in them...I can never finish them. And they come with the rice and beans :) Suizas enchiladas are good as well but I still like the diablo flavor better. Love the wings as well but they aren't my favorite. I haven't had the fried avocado rolls b/c I don't typically care for fried foods and my hubby gave up fried foods for lent so I will have to try them after Easter! The food is really good here usually, I absolutely love the fajita steak taco. However they had a very poor policy regarding to-go orders. they don't make your to-go order until you're actually in the restaurant and paid for it. So this is my third time back and I'm trying their shrimp tacos and I'm just eating here, not sure if that poorly thought out to go policy is not still in effect. Apparently it was because a previous customer ordered the food and then complained that the food was cold when they got it. so for a time, any consequent customers had to suffer for that. Not a good call. However today I tried to call in my order and the phone just rang and rang, so I stopped in and the phone was still ringing from somebody else. The girl behind the counter was in the back doing I don't know what.. I ordered the Bauhaus shrimp tacos and got them out way too quickly. I say way too quickly because they were obviously cooked before and just reheated because these are tough. Not good when shrink tacos are tough. Very big disappointment Also they advertise breakfast tacos but they don't open till 9 am. Prices are a bit high, but again the steak taco is really good, and at the other location, the shrimp tacos are really good as well, so I am okay paying a little bit more for quality.usually there is a very friendly and attentive guy behind the counter, not today. I would definitely give a 4-star for the food , but right now I'm going to leave it at 3 star because today my shrimp tacos were very much overcooked. Tasted a little fishy too. also if you are not a cilantro lover, make sure to ask them to either go light on the cilantro or leave it off completely. this used to be my FAVORITE taco place ! i ordered here all the time ! the tacos were flavorful, juicy & delicious. i would order all the time on DoorDash & i told some friends about this place too ! however, on my last visit a few months ago, i got the triple play taco plate (my go to!) the tacos were great as usual until i noticed a few INSECT LEGS on my plate after i ate my first taco. i inspected further and realized i had eaten a few parts of a what may have been a ROACH !!! yep, you read that right !!!!! i immediately threw up everything i had eaten. i had to do some digging in the plate but i found a few legs (not all four legs or the body which let me know i had eaten a few pieces of the roach--YUCK!!!!!!) i immediately notified the restaurant and they reimbursed me but i will NEVER go back ! i tell anyone who mentions this restaurant that it is unsanitary & there are bugs in the food. i am still so disgusted by this incident that i can't even think of this restaurant without feeling sick !!
