With my hectic kids sports schedule, Viva Jalisco is out go to no matter the time or the day. Their salsa is always nice and spicy, just the way we like it. My personal favorites are their enchiladas and their fajita tortas especially when I am on a run for a hot meal. My daughter always orders their huevos rancheros even during dinner time (I don't mind paying an extra $1). My son alternates with the torta or their tacos, he loves their tacos. Another reason why we love coming here so much is their fresh waters, their horchata is always on point, their limeade is always refreshing and their jamaica is always tasty. The staff is always nice, on top of our needs and they maintain the restaurant very clean which we appreciate since it makes us feel better about our decision coming here to eat. read more

Cute little place, seems pretty dang authentic. Well priced lunch specials Monday through Friday til 3pm. I appreciate a restaurant that has reasonable lunch specials. Chips and salsa are good, sauces have a great flavor, qqand they made me a fresh pot of coffee, definitely high marks for the effort there. I did order off the lunch menu though, I wanted some mole enchiladas, fingers crossed. Great choice, they are pretty good. Not the best I've ever had but definitely one of the better ones. Especially because you don't really see molay on the menu very often anymore. So when I do see it I try to take advantage of it. Although confusingly, the menu says poblano enchiladas. When I ordered poblano enchiladas she told me they were in fact mole enchiladas. I was okay with that as I do enjoy mole, so I agreed. I wouldn't be opposed to a coffee refill, . Luckily as soon as I caught the server's eye, I'm motioned from our coffee and got it. Thank goodness you would have been a shame to let this good coffee go to work in the middle of the afternoon. I definitely recommend this place and a would recommend them mole enchiladas too. read more

We came here because a friend told us about the place. The said that margaritas were good too, but we came for breakfast. The breakfast was very good and the lady serving us were very nice. The place seem very clean and everyone seem so comfortable and at home here I even saw one man in the corner on his laptop while eating breakfast. First time going, was excited to try the food until my first bite. It tasted like dish soap. Like the plate hadn't been fully rinsed. I thought to myself maybe it's just me. Had my husband try it and it was definitely soapy tasting. He kindly returned my plate to the server and explained what was going on. She proceeds to come back to our table and tells me, "we tried your plate, nothing wrong with it. What you want?" I was kind of floored and frustrated to be told I'm a liar when it obviously tasted horrible. I ordered a basic quest instead and it was sooooo greasy. They charged .92 check out fee for an order totaling 30.00 how outrageous then they won't answer the phone. No more shopping there for me. The portion size on both meats is half what is used to be, I asked for extra onions and guacamole and got less. I feel cheated. The fajita combo is now 17.00 !!!! It's half the meat. read more

This is my go too breakfast stop before work! There's almost never a line which is great because I'm always in a hurry ! Food is delicious always get the bacon, egg and white cheese with a large tamrindo. Love the way they wrap it because the tacos stay hot longer which is great because I can't always eat right away . All in all a solid place to get breakfast read more

We order from here every now and then and it's usually good but this time it was trash, horrible! My wife ordered a torta and I ordered tacos with avocado and queso, 1 my tacos didn't come with no avocado or queso which they still charged me for. 2 as soon as my wife opened her torta there was a piece of hair right on top, luckily she happened to open it and check. Oh and they also said they couldn't give us a refund they can only remake our food what BS! Merry Christmas read more

They have decent food, good service and friendly staff. I ordered mini tacos, they had plenty of meat, nice flavor and they were served hot! Everything tasted fresh! I'm mentioning basic thing because even those basic things other restaurants would be missing. I ordered at the drive thru and didn't waited long. My family and I love the location on Jones and they opened this location closer to us. This is a good hole in the wall Mexican restaurant and the menu is the same as the other location. Clean place, good drinks, good food. Chips and salsa to start (the way it should be--IMO) read more

Unfortunately nothing stood out as being really good, much less great. The first clue I wasn't at a good place is the chips and salsa - chips were blah (definitely from a regular chip bag) and the salsa was odd. The torta (pastor) was a long hamburger bun that quickly turned to a hard to chew bun, not typical at all of most torta breads used for what is usually an amazing sandwich elsewhere. While the pastor was good it was not layered by the other layers typically associated with a torta. There were two slices of avocado (1 on each half of the sandwich), shredded lettuce and a few diced tomatoes (odd). I think the hardest part to get over was the bun! Just so surprised it wasn't the really good torta bread. The rice was colored but had no taste different than regular white rice which surprised me. I'm not sure what they did with the beans but they seem either direct from a can or leftovers from a few days ago (they were dry & tasted odd). Sometimes I'll come back to a place to try something different, but since the rice and beans weren't good, I don't think just coming back for another entree will be a draw. I will come back one morning to try a breakfast, but since so much of a breakfast is the rice and beans, it won't be anytime soon (it will be if I just happen to drive by while looking for breakfast out). Brand new location, has a convenient left turn spot just out front if you're coming from 249, and there's a drive thru if you're in a rush. Super clean interior and friendly service if you're ordering por aqui. Fantastic value, too - picked up 14 breakfast tacos for less than $20, and they are solid. So glad to get some authentic Mexican tastiness up around here! read more

We have been coming to VJ for years, even prior to this location. In the last 2 months, more recently last month this place has gone to garbage. We sat in a booth for 15 minutes yesterday and never got waited on. Today we come back...no AC. Salsa served cold, liquid tomato sauce with not one bit of seasoning or flavoring. The wait staff is clueless. All the employees who kept this place a great place to come to us gone. These ladies will stand at the register area socializing while people need assistance. We don't get the food out all at once. Some comes while the other is near done, struggle to get tortillas with actual meal. We are so disappointed as this has been our go to Taqueria since opening and and their previous location before. Won't be back. read more

We have been coming to this place for two years now. Even the one on Jones before. The food is usually always good "if" they can get your order right. When we order to go, the lady will repeat your order back to you, and when we get home...it's all wrong. My husband went to pick up his corrected order and they wanted to just argue that he got it in the bag. Which was wrong. Even when have dined in before they STiLL get my husbands tacos wrong. Idk why! He likes them plain with avocado (easy) smh Everyone will be almost done with their food before he receives his. We stopped going in because of the service. They don't check up on nor pay attention to if you received your food right. Absolutely poor quality check! I think we're finally done with this place. read more

Went in today to try it out. Ordered a taco, salad, beef, tortilla soup, carne guisada. Got home, first I got a sloppy and wet taco shell that my CHICKEN salad was in. Remember, I ordered BEEF! A few chopped tomato bites, lots of shredded lettuce and cheese with a spoon of sour cream. Needless to say for $11, I was shocked. I did eat it. The tortilla soup was a orange liquid with a few bites of white meat chicken in there. A little box attached with fried tortilla chips and a slice of avocado. Humm... looks and taste like it was poured out of a can. The carne guisada meat was tough, had no gravy with it, a bite of carrot and two bites of potato. Did not have chips and salsa like most mexican places offer. The beans and rice were orange colored.. the place looked clean and nice furniture but the food was so bad, it will never get a second chance from us. They for sure need a decent cook. Was a total waste of money. It's nice to try new places but fair warning, THIS PLACE SUCKS! read more

I love everything that this place has to offer, and I am proud to be a regular customer. The following is just some of the many things I love about Viva Jalisco -The store hours are 6am -11pm everyday, which is wonderful. -They offer a wide variety of TASTY food options from breakfast items to lunch & dinner, and they also have chips & queso. -There is a drive thru that is honestly faster then any of the "fast food" restaurants in our area. Most likely, you will get through the line in no more then 5 minutes. I love this place! read more

Food was not good, Caldo (soup) was horrible had a sour taste... and when I went to pay I told waitress it was bad, her response was you should of told me when I dropped off but I would if she would of checked up on table, so my buddy gave her tip of $20 and when I went to pay she added tip of $15 on top of check cause was party of 6, and I told them that's why we have you $20 cash for tip. So bad food and paid a 35 tip was not worth it... El Palenque down the street 100 times better food and service... will never return to this restaurant ever again and don't recommend it!!! read more

Worst fajitas ever. Smh. The menudo is excellent. The fajitas are not tender at all. All the food tasted like old oil sitting for weeks. I got no cheese with the fajitas. The order was also wrong. I ordered one order of fajitas with chicken and beef but I got 2 orders of mixed fajitas with chicken sausage shrimp and beef. The shrimp was overcooked and the sausage tasted like ekredge sausage. The other location on jones rd was really good. But I don't care for this location. read more

My husband and I always order food from this restaurant, the food taste very authentic compared to an average Tex mex restaurant. I order the chicken flautas, my husband gets a torta al pastor or enchiladas mexicanas (so spicy!) and everything is always so delicious and prepared quickly, ready for eat in or drive thru. I love this place... found it by mistake and decided to take a chance. The food was so good. All my family loved it. We've eaten there easily 5 times in the last week (twice the first day I went there). I've tried different things from the menu and haven't been disappointed.
