I will start out by saying that having Mrs. Kahn as my daughters teacher was the biggest mistake I ever made as a parent. There would be times Mrs. Kahn would say," Oh your child wouldn't sit down in circle time and would go play with the toys instead, or I know her shirt has milk and paint all over it but she got upset when I tried to change her so I left it on." The first thought that came to my mind was," Aren't you the teacher?" My child wasn't bad at all, she was just excited to be in an environment with so many stimulating things in it, and as a teacher you would think her 15+ years of experience would've taught her how to handle those situations. It's as if she was so used to having perfect children and got flustered when a child didn't listen when she told them to do something the first time. And as far as my child learning anything, she didn't learn anything from her other than how to line up and go outside. The funny thing is when I would be on break from school or had her for the holidays, I would teach her the smallest things and my daughter would catch on so fast that everyone in my family could see an improvement. Why was it that she wasn't learning anything at school when she was there 5 days a week, but as soon as I taught her something on a 3 day break all of a sudden you see improvement? I'll tell you why, it's because Mrs. Kahn was NOT paying attention to my child and paid more attention to other children and was busy begging parents to give money or food to her for the parties she always threw (as if tuition wasn't enough). If she spent more time on educating the children then planning parties, maybe the children could actually learn something. My husband also would drop our daughter off and say to me ," Does she not like our daughter? She always gives us a look like she doesn't want her there, but when other children come in, she gets excited and gives them hugs." Also you know something is wrong with a teacher when the director pulls her own grandchild out of their class, and transfers them into another teachers class. In all since leaving within 3 months my child can count to 100 and can read at 3 years old, and it's all because I taught her and took her out of that school. My advice is to anybody looking at this school, DO NOT enroll your child in her class. She's obviously more focused on throwing parties and doesn't know a thing about teaching in a structured environment.

The environment is quiet & peaceful. The children are seated, listening and focused on what is being taught. The staff is absolutely amazing and they truly want your child to succeed. Montessori is not for every child. They must be a self-learner and eager to accept a new way of doing things. Our son needs structure and the teachers hold them accountable for their actions. This makes all the difference in the world. We also noticed that the calmness of the classroom helps him stay focused. He has matured and learned so many different things within the short time that he has been in attendance and we couldn't be happier. Our only regret is not doing this sooner. We are grateful that he will be able to attend Kinder as MSDT - Clear Lake and look forward to more positive learning experiences.

They fostered a love of learning in him and helped him to build strong vocabulary skills very early on. Because we did not move to Clear Lake until my oldest was 18 months, he attended two other schools (including Creme de la Creme) and had a nanny prior to MSODT. If I had to do it again, he would have started at MSODT right away. Creme did not offer educational focus in the way that MSODT did. You can tell that all of the staff in the School of Infants really care in a way I didn't find with other programs. While my oldest had a slower start, MSODT Clear Lake gave him the foundation he needed and now he loves math and reading and is in the GT program. Almost every child I know who attends this school ends up skipping a grade in public school or is at the very top of their class and GT. I couldn't recommend this school more. They are fantastic in their focus to build a love of learning.

They both love their school, and teachers. No energy, no personality, she would BARELY speak when dropping off in the morning. Always seem tired and overwhelmed. Complain a lot about not having enough help. NEVER had time to fill out the end of the day recap in my child's notebook (the notebook was pointless). I barely received photos of my child throughout the day, maybe (1-3 daily photos) and that's on a good day. (And it's no live video footage to watch your child). HUGE classroom volume compared to neighboring daycares. Regardless of "state ratio law" MANAGEMENT should know better! To many kids in one classroom (at this age) is NOT good for the child or teacher. An aid was eventually added but not sure if that helped. Nitika (the owner) was ok. Not great not terrible just ok. Henni (the director) was actually excellent with kids, they loved her. She was patient & communicated well, but ultimately everything goes through Nitika. Cost: $280 per week (4years old) I would NOT recommend this daycare to anyone in the Pearland area with young kids! Please seek elsewhere.
