I would not recommend Devine Savior Academy near Houston, Texas. Our experience with this school was extremely disappointing. We paid the enrollment fees, completed the process they requested, and after that, communication completely stopped. I called multiple times and was repeatedly told that someone would reach out to us, but nobody ever did. Now they are refusing to refund the enrollment fee despite the lack of communication and follow-up from their admissions team. What is even more concerning is that in an email today, they stated that they believe their communication was handled appropriately. Honestly, what a shame. Ignoring families, failing to follow up, and then refusing accountability is not proper communication. A student will made you tour the school and their admission lady will show up at the end to give you the enrollment document. I should have understand their lack of consideration right away I truly wish I had seen the warning signs earlier. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this school to other families. read more

We started at DSA last year and we are very happy with DSA. We have one in high school and one in middle school. A good school starts with strong leadership and the elementary/middle/high school principals are strong leaders. We like that DSA teaches accountability, among other things, which is generally lacking in society these days. Perhaps in part because they are part of a network of several other DS schools, they seem very well structured in all aspects, including communication with parents, curriculum, and school operations. While they are small (but growing), they function as well as or better than a larger school. The homework load seems very well balanced, especially compared to their previous school. The teachers are excellent and everyone is very nice. The students are good kids and we've been impressed with the behavior and politeness of our kids' friends. The parents we have met are very nice with similar family values. We hoped we would find a community, and we have made new friends with othe families through our kids and their friends. Despite the small size, the school offers several sports programs, including football and volleyball, and is very competitive against schools that are much larger. They built a new middle/high school building last year and it is a top class facility. Great gym, big, modern classrooms, great courtyard, multipurpose chapel, and more. Tuition remains very reasonable in comparison to other private schools in the Houston area, especially considering the low teacher:student ratio. read more

We are profoundly grateful that all three of our children have had the opportunity to attend Divine Savior Academy over the years. As our youngest, Garrett, journey at DSA still continues, we reflect with heartfelt appreciation on the incredible personal and spiritual growth our family and he has experienced. From 1st grade through 8th grade, he has deepened his understanding of himself and his faith in God. The school's nurturing family atmosphere, along with its dedicated and compassionate teachers, administrators, and staff, has been a true blessing. In addition to being a parent, I have had the privilege of working at DSA, alongside remarkable students and colleagues whose kindness and dedication have left a lasting impact. It has been an honor to witness and be part of the school's extraordinary growth, transformation, and commitment to excellence--structurally, spiritually, and educationally. Divine Savior Academy is not what it used to be. The school has adopted more of a "Miami-HQ" mentality, prioritizing revenue over the well-being of students and parents. It has become a very money-driven institution, as evidenced by the significant tuition increases. When my kids started kindergarten, the tuition was $7,000; now, just six years later, it has more than doubled to over $13,000. What's worse is the lack of transparency in these increases. Parents are often told there won't be any significant changes, only to be blindsided by substantial hikes. When questioned, the administration avoids addressing concerns, leaving parents frustrated and unheard. To double tuition in such a short time without showing meaningful improvements in the school's offerings is unacceptable. Many parents are also dissatisfied with the curriculum and the quality of teaching staff. Instead of investing in experienced, qualified educators, the school seems to hire unprepared, inexperienced graduates who lack both the skills and the aptitude to work effectively with children. The school needs to refocus its priorities, address parental concerns, and commit to hiring better-qualified teachers if it wants to regain the trust and respect of its community. Parents deserve to be heard, and these issues cannot continue to be ignored. read more

Divine Savior Academy has been, literally Divine intervention, for our family. Our son was in the inaugural high school freshman class and will be in the first high school graduating class of seniors. The school staff, teachers, coaches and leaders have had a tremendous, positive impact on our son and on our family. Everyone has taken a sincere interest in our son's life, including his goals, struggles, successes and interests. They have supported him in his journey through high school and strengthened his commitment to living a Christ-like life. He has learned more in his 4 years at the school about being a Christian, a man, and a servant-leader than he ever would at the local public schools. In addition, the leadership and staff has embraced our suggestions, addressed our concerns as parents and partnered with us like we would never get in a large public school setting. When we enrolled our son, the administration told us about their vision and goal of having a new building and expanding the school campus, the programs available and creating an event better environment for Christian learning. The new building opened in 2024 and surpassed our expectations. The thought and care that the school leadership devoted to the project was evident in the spectacular new building. In addition, my son desperately wanted to play sports. The principal and school leadership listened to him every day his freshman year. Beginning his sophomore year, the school started a football program. He has played football, golf, basketball and ran track. The coaching staff was hard and tough, but caring and patient. The coaches and athletic director are dedicated to winning and to developing great student-athletes. Overall, Divine Savior Academy has been a fantastic place for my son. The staff and leadership at the school have taken a vested interest in his success and trained him up to be a Christian leader. We love it here and will support the school even after we have no children attending because they are making a difference in the lives of kids and families. read more
