I went to Grace clinic for my appointment. It was a circus. Only two receptionist at the front desk, one was attending to a customer, the other was stuffing her face. I tried to get her attention, she turned away and continued to eat. I finally found one and she sent me to the lab after I told her I was there for an OB appointment. I went to the lab and the receptionist took my info and when I told her I was there for an OB appointment she sent me back to where I started. Idiots!!! I'll take care of my appointments. The pharmacy is the WORST! The pharmacist lied and refused to fill my prescription. Stating I shouldn't need it. My Doctor called and they told her the medication was taken off the market. Another lie. It's not, I had it filled at Market street. My monthly medications are like clock work BUT the pharmacy still failed to submit a preauthorization on scheduled pain meds. Making them a week late. They have a passive aggressive nasty way of handling things and I have no clue why or how this works for them? They never have refills on time unless you call in plenty of time to alert them of the medication being refilled even though its a monthly medication like thyroid meds, etc. Nothing new but every month they act like it's new. My doctors are located in the building which makes it in a convenient place, but their service is the worst. I would honestly be embarrassed if I worked there. read more

Dr J Brinker has been the PCP for my husband and I the past 10 years or so and he has given us exceptional care. His office staff is friendly and helpful. We haven't had any difficulties reaching Dr Brinker, we can call the office or leave him a message in the My Chart app and he is very good at getting back with us. It's also easy to request med refills in the app which I find efficient and effective. We hope Dr Brinker continues practicing in Lubbock as he is an asset to the medical community and provides quality, compassionate care. read more

Watch out!!! In emergencies, the quality of care is atrocious. I was a patient at Grace for a dozen years or more. Recently, when I was in the midst of a mental health crisis, I told my pcp I was about to explode because a "guest" in my house, and by guest I mean squatter, refuses to leave. I asked if he could prescribe a short-term course of Xanax or Valium, medications I have NEVER before requested. He refused. Five days later, I exploded in rage when I learned (from cops) that my squatter is as much entitled to live in my house as I am--even though he has never contributed a cent to household expenses or even his own personal expenses--until I go through the formal process of evicting him. I got arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge because I, a nearly 70-year old woman, kicked a 45-year old man who lives parasitically off me in the thigh. Was I wrong? Yes! Absolutely! I should not have done it. I was arrested and spent two nights in jail. The day of my release, a registered letter, signed by my pcp, informed me that he was no longer my doctor. Yes, that's correct, phone operator at Grace Clinic told me; my pcp had "dismissed" me and I no longer have medical care at Grace. I've asked for an explanation, but no one from Grace will speak to me. In the absence of all communication, I have tentatively reached this conclusion: execs at DisGrace forced my pcp to ditch me because, in my hour of need, he failed to treat me in a competent manner. I hope to discover normal standards of care at UMC. read more

Normally Grace Clinic was the best place to come and get your labs for our Dr. for years BUT, today January 13, 2021 was the worst ever. Debra at the check in desk for our labs had the worst attitude for working with patients!! Didn't want to talk, course behind a mask she can do that! She entered our information in wrong and had to redo! We were there over an hour to get our labs! Ashley the lab tech had to check on our status with her. The support staff is awful and extremely rude. I'm only here because Dr. Nesterenko is a great surgeon. At Imaging/Lab center: Expect a long waiting period for any imaging and lab work. The staff does not care about you. I was told it would be an hour of wait time and I was there well past that. I asked about how much longer I had to wait and the response I got was very rude and condescending. I had not eaten all day and traveled 2.5 hours to be there, I asked if I could step out to my vehicle for a minute, they immediately told me no and that I'd have to come back another day. read more

I have never been treated so badly before in my life the front desk ladies in the walk in area were the rudest people I have ever met. I had never been to this clinic and didn't understand how they did things and I apparently had to sign in on an iPad (so I did) then after signing up the iPad said something about paper work and when I went to ask I was cut off from speaking and told to sit down and I'll be called when They're ready. I tried to continue my question but continued to be rudely cut off. I will never ever come here again or recommend to anyone. No one deserves to be treated like they're stupid. read more

But seriously, in two months time, every other day, either I or my dad's long term care team have been calling. No one ever answers in the doctors' office, no one ever returns what must be at least 50 messages by now. How is that even possible? I've tried contacting the administration and still nothing. I'm a little surprised to see all the low ratings at Grace Clinic. I mean, it's not perfect by any means but what do you expect with any large scale medical center running both appointments and walk in patients? Most poor reviews seem to be written by people who were walk in patients. I admit I have not had the best experiences here as a walk in but when I utilize the wait from home feature where you can reserve your appointment time online and show up 10 minutes before it's been much better. I think it's also worth noting that every employee that I've ever encountered from receptionist to nurses to doctors to physician assistants etc. have always given me the impression that they have my best interest at heart. They are always apologetic if things are running late but they also take their time with me as they would with their other patients. I appreciate that I've never been rushed and my concerns have always been heard and answered in a caring manner. My primary care physician and gynecologist are both at Grace. Dr. Jared Brinker is my pcp and Dr. Michelle Sahinler is my gynecologist. I love them both and would recommend them to anyone. Seriously. It feels like going to the doctor you grew up with. They both remember specific things about me and my family and are more than accommodating. If you need a pcp or gynecologist use them!!!!! And for the record, the way I met Dr. Brinker was by walking in. He is not a physicians assistant. He is a family practitioner. Therefore, whoever earlier said that you never see a "real doctor" when walking in is incorrect. I have also seen physician assistants when walking in and they have been courteous, competent, and helpful. I did not mind seeing a PA at all. The only reason for a one star deduction is that wait times have been longer than seems reasonable at times. But like I said, they make up for it in patient care. read more

Stay away from this place! They are taking advantage of college kids and not being up front as to what their insurance covers and doesn't. Explain to me how insurance covered a $25 visit but then we get charged $185 new patient fee, TWO charges ($51 ea) for TWO flu tests (which only one test was given) $65 for a strep test! $352 bill for my freshman in college to pay! Thank goodness for Grace Clinic! Not only do I have all my doctors, lab and imaging under one roof, but it doesn't even feel like a medical clinic. I love how you wait outside of the exam room instead of a just a large, cold waiting room. When I go for my women's annual, I'm given a real robe instead of the cold thin ones! LOVE THAT! Yeah there are occasional waits, but what medical place doesn't have a wait time? I'd much rather wait in a comfortable environment with pretty artwork than sit in a waiting room with a ton of sick people. Not only are my doctors there but if I'm feeling under the weather I can go to the walk-in clinic and be seen. I can even check-in on line and skip the line. I have never been around so many doctors that are down-to-earth and treat you like they really care about you. Grace Clinic will be our Lubbock go-to always. read more

This review is from my spouse: At Grace Clinic on July 23rd I was scheduled for lab tests and a CT scan. The CT was "performed/administered" by an apparently experienced tech and a student trainee. Very unfortunately for me, the Tech was more focused on impressing the young attractive trainee with his knowledge, with little focus on the patient, me! The trainee made a huge error when inserting the "poison" dye into my arm causing it to explode under the skin during the CT procedure. This caused great pain and considerable alarm on my part. This alarmed the tech as well and they called in the supervisor who took a look. None of them had ever seen this before and really didn't know what to do or what would happen to me. The supervisor said that I should put heat packs on it and it would "probably" be alright! Not very reassuring. I went home, applied heat packs and waited with frightened anticipation, having no idea what poison was loose in my body or what the results would be in the long run. Now, 2 weeks later, I am finally feeling better but still very very angry. I believe this fiasco was entirely preventable but was basically caused by the inattention of the tech in charge, who was distracted by trying to impress his trainee. read more

My wife went in for something simple (general pain issues, possible thyroid issue, etc...). She was greeted by a young man treated my wife poorly, I assume he thought he had something better to do. Then the nurse that waited on her acted as if she wasn't really wanting to be a nurse to my wife. Answering, "we don't do that here" when it came to my wife's joint pain. Also didn't offer any other help on the matter. Then then "doctor" came in with a nasty attitude and acted as if it was too much to ask to act like a doctor!! Needless to say my wife nor my family will be going back. I refuse to allow my family to be treated this rudely and with disrespect. Grace is not the appropriate name for a place that treats patients with real issues as if it's too much to ask that they actually act like adults. What a disgrace. read more

My daughter a Tech student went into the clinic for a UTI. The clinic's copay was $40. She paid at visit. They sent her for a urine test across the hall at Grace Medical Center for the test. Evidently the clinic is a clinic and across the hall is outpatient. Therefore, we were billed $145.18 for a urine in the cup test, plus the $40 copay. The insurance paid $115. What a joke. Total Fraud. I called in and the nice lady said a lot of people have problems and misunderstanding with how they bill and if not paid they will send to collection and hurt her credit score. She is studying Cell Molecular Biology major in the honors program and top of her class. She volunteers on the weekends at the Lubbock hospital. This clinic/outpatient center needs to be one or the other, inform their patients, and should stop posing/impostor. This should of been only the $40 copay and not $138.37 out of pocket. This should be illegal! read more

I go to Grace Clinic for all my health needs. I see both Dr. Raedeke and Dr. Burkholder. Dr. Raedeke is the best primary care physician I have ever had. She takes the time to listen to what is going on...I mean really listen. I mentioned a symptom, which I thought was kind of trivial at the time, to her during a wellness checkup. She really listened to me and began asking more questions instead of chopping it up to age. This eventually led to me being diagnosed with a significant chronic medical condition that would have otherwise gone undiagnosed. On top of that, Dr. Raedeke just really cares about her patients. She always asking about how different things are going and actually remembers what is going on in my life (from getting married to different vacations). The other great thing about Dr. Raedeke is that she always makes time to see sick patients. I have never had an issue getting a same day appointment when I am sick. Which is a great benefit of seeing her! Dr. Burkholder is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of women's health. He takes his time with you to make sure you understand what is going on. He even uses pictures and visual aids to explain different topics! I love that he doesn't pressure you into taking medication or any procedures and lets you decide when it is time to take it to the next step to conceive. Like Dr. Raedeke, he truly cares about his patients and it shows. I know some have complained about wait times, but I don't mind it because it is due to having to step out to deliver a baby or handle an emergency situation. I don't think you can go wrong with either of these doctors or any of the other wonderful docs at Grace! read more

Katrina Foster attended me for lung issues and throat pain I have had for over a month. I came in hoping to get an MRI, but she was in and out of the room before I could even ask. She was dead set on calling it a URI without even attempting to do anything. I waited around and asked if I could get an MRI or a referral and she said no. Rude and I do not recommend.
