My mom has been here on two different occasions. The nurses, therapists, food prep, staff and aides that were in and out of her room made a wonderful effect on her recovery. Mom was not ready to leave, but Medicare said her time had ended. Mom missed her dog not being with her, so she'll have him at home with her now. Mom and I greatly appreciate everyone involved with her care. There is not another place I'd want her, if the need arises. read more

Some of the nurses are good, some of the CNA's are good but basically very lazy. They have to be asked to change the sheets, sometimes they will sometimes they won't my mother went 2 weeks before her sheets were changed. Their food is HORRIBLE! Short people get the best care. If a med aid calls in on a short term house they pull from long term making them wait on their meds. My mother is on meds that need to done at certain times and when they pull the med aids she does not get them the way she should. I have been actively looking for another facility to move her to. read more

My experience with this facility was extremely disappointing. My grandmother was here for rehabilitation and also has dementia. Throughout her stay, Annie Mendoza treated both my grandmother and our family with very little respect. Whenever we needed assistance, she often rolled her eyes or made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. During my grandmother's two-week stay, she wandered out of her room without our knowledge. We were not informed until the following day. At that point, Annie told us that a family member would have to stay with my grandmother 24/7, which we did not believe was an appropriate or acceptable solution. It felt like we had to fight to get even basic care and assistance for my grandmother. When our requests were finally addressed, they were often met with a rude attitude. We also spoke with the director, Gloria McGinnis, regarding our concerns. Unfortunately, we felt that our concerns were not taken seriously, and no meaningful effort was made to address the way some staff members interacted with patients and their families. On a positive note, Blue and Rhonda provided outstanding care. They were compassionate, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about my grandmother's health and well-being. We are very grateful for the kindness they showed her. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this facility to families seeking compassionate, respectful care for their loved ones. read more

The nurses, never really took care of my dad. He had fallen a few times. He had a lot scares from the falling. He had some sores on one foot, he had only 2 weeks staying there. We went to go see him and i he had sores on his other foot and on his buttocks area. They weren't taking care of him at all. We finally talked to hospice and the crown point had sent him to the hospital at the time that we were meeting with hospice that he had fallen again and his eyes rolled back. So, him staying at the hospital for a couple of days did him good. But, finally decided to take him home and his doing so much better thanks to hospice and my mom and brother taking care of him. But i wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Needs improvement in how they care for their patients. Even being there every day I had to tell them how to do their job. They don't turn bed ridden patients every 2 hrs. They caused 2 bed sores on my brother by not turning him & leaving him in bed instead of getting him into his wheelchair. He arrived on a Saturday & on Monday is when they changed his diaper for the first time. Once I complained, then they finally stepped up care that he should've got the whole time he was there. Sad part is this is the approved place for our veterans! We couldn't get out of there fast enough. I'd give them a tenth of a star. read more

Lisa De Leon is one of the most INCOMPETENT people at Crown Point. She is incredibly RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, CONDESCENDING, DISRESPECTFUL and HATEFUL. She constantly NEGLECTS, IGNORES, BELITTLES, and ABUSES patients. She gives patients the WRONG MEDICATIONS. She WITHHOLDS MEDICATIONS from patients when they need it and when the doctors have prescribed it. She LIES on patient charting and claims she gave medication when she NEVER gave the medicine. She has the bedside manner of a rabid dog. Bedridden patients have asked her for simple things such as a glass of water and she told them "no, I'm too busy" and proceeded to go back to the desk and play on her cell phone. She's a DISGRACE to nurses. DO NOT TRUST Lisa De Leon with your loved one. read more

Very nice staff and it is well taken care of not once have I been there has there ever been a bad smell very clean environment. My mother loves it there. Activities are great my mom gets out and enjoys playing dominoes. I'm there all the time so I know nothing better than nice staff and a clean building. My wife's grandmother had two different stays at Crownpoint Health and both were great experiences. The quality of care and rehab for her 93 year old grandmother was top notch. Having an entire wing with its own kitchen and dining area just added to the experience. I would recommend Crownpoint Health Suites to anyone and everyone needing a rehab and recovery facility for patients coming directly out of the hospital. We also know the owners personally and you couldn't ask for better people and relationships. 5 Stars!!! read more

Not particularly pleased with the level of care my Mother-in-law received. (With the notable exception of Taye who was very good). My Mother-in-law had to be taken by ambulance from Crown Point, very lethargic and verbally un responsive. At the hospital after receiving an IV she perked up. She was very dehydrated. My wife had to ask Crown Point to call for an ambulance. When we went to pick up her belongings, clothing that was wet with urine were stuffed in a bag with other items like her Bible. Not the level of professionalism and care that should be taken for granted. read more

If you have ever had a grandparent or loved one who needs extended care (from a fall, surgery, illness, etc.) you know depressing most of these facilities are. Most care facilities have long hallways with patients scattered around and nobody really paying attention to them. We had my grandfather transferred to Crown Point and I was impressed by the layout. There are 4 pods, each pod has about 20 residents. Each pod has its own commons area, computer area, and dining area. The cooks will cook anything to order (if they don't have it, they will go find it) and they realize how important eating is to feeling better -- like most everybody on Yelp! -- and insist on remaking any dish that is not cooked to there preference. It's small and quaint place. I have counted about one nurse to every 8 patients at Crown Point where others places I have visited have a ratio of about 1:16. Other then the sadness associated with visiting your loved one who is not at the best health, this place reminds me a summer camp -- tone of activities for patients, things for the family & patient (wine and cheese tonight!), NFL network, & friendly counselors. From my experience, this is the best in town. read more

My husband was there for respite care for a month, 2 weeks September and 2 weeks in October 2022. I was there as a resident for therapy services 2 weeks in October. No place is perfect, what sets this facility above the rest is the willingness of the staff to listen and do what they can to make the situation better. The food, the CNAs, the nurses, housekeeping and maintenance staff were excellent. My husband is having shoulder surgery and we will be going back for him to have therapy services. read more

The staff and management here are concerned with one thing...BILLING, meaning before we even consider allowing our poorly trained, lack of empathy staff, to do ANYTHING, are we getting compensated. Take a look at the common theme in the negative reviews and notice the facility management does not address those negative reviews. Keep these reviews in mind when considering where to take someone you care about, because the majority of the time they won't. read more

This is not like any facility I have ever seen. It is a nursing home, but is more like a resort. Several people I know have been to Crown Point for rehab following a hospitalization. It was incredible. They worked them hard in rehab and then they spent the rest of the day relaxing. Ordering room service from a chef, private room, private shower, privacy at every turn They say this is a nursing home, but you could fool me. read more

This is a very nice facility, but unfortunately the staff is just inadequate. My 92 year old grandmother was recently admitted here for rehab after surgery. The day we arrived on site, she was sent to her room and three hours later we had to ask the nurse to come explain how the facility works. This was actually an indication of how her whole stay would be. My grandmother needed assistance and could not do anything on her own for quite some time. She said that the nursing staff was very nice but provided inconsistent care and she consistently had to ask for help specifically regarding her meals and changing linens. The worst thing is that in their care, my grandmother fell and hit her head one evening and the whole situation was handled inappropriately. They said that they would send her to the ER, but never did and never alerted family until the following morning. In addition, they never iced the knot on her head, cleaned or bandaged her wound. She laid in her bed, in her own blood, continuing to bleed all night. The wound continued to bother her and bleed for the remainder of her time there and was never properly cared for. Five days later they did x-rays to see if something was wrong- FIVE DAYS after an elderly person had a head injury. That is unacceptable. It has been almost a month since that incident and she still has a hematoma and large scab on her head. Based on what she said the rehab staff was very nice and helpful, but all of the other things she experienced reflect poor management, poor staff training and inadequate staffing for patients with this level of care. read more

Our family heard nothing but rave reviews for this place, but unfortunately, it has been a bad experience for our mother & ourselves. She honestly showed more healing progress in a 1/3 of the time at the hospital, than she has at Crown Point.    She experienced skin tears, bed sores, no preventive health care  (ie; no meds for stool softners...constipation is serious thing, especially when on pain meds), pneumonia, blood clot, VRE infection, Cdef infection,& injured arm. She was dropped once & injured twice by staff. If you want to save yourself the heart ache of watching your loved one go thru this and dont want to see your loved one suffer, then please choose another facility.    I do have to say that the LVN's did try very hard, but CP really needs to work with & see to it that their CNA's are better trained at their job. We experienced two very rude & careless employees. All of the other CNA's rated from kind to very kind & caring. There were few times that several of them were unprofessional in mannerism. This is a very nice facility but we learned the hard way that pretty isnt always better :( Like most of these places, it's all about the money & all about being extremely helpful until they suck you in. Once youre there, then they are not as near as accommodating. Upper management was rude & acted as if we were a nuisance. They will also "assure" you that they will give you a 3 day notice prior to your discharge date if you are there for rehab under Medicare. Not so! Mother went to hospital. They packed our room up immediately after leaving. 1/2 of our belongings were lost and we only found out they we were discharged after going by CP to pick up needed items from the room the next day. Crown Point is not very professional & are not very compassionate. Again, it's unfortunately, all about the money. read more

The nurses here are horrible. There is such bad care. Ask any EMT who runs this route. Many 911 calls just to move people to different places. The physical therapy is great but care is lacking. Very unprofessional, not knowledgable. Many become sick here because of lack of care. There are so many better places in Lubbock. read more
