Overall: Both my sons love coming to the dentist now. Yes, they are looking forward to the gold coins to redeem their prizes (reminds me of Pizza Hut back in the 80/90s) but they also have great hygienists and dentists here who are patient and accommodating of kids and their wiggles. KID FRIENDLY - knows their audience: The venue is new, bright white and clean - we started at their former location downtown and this is such a step up! The waiting area has digital distractions even though we've never had to wait past 5 minutes of our appointment times. During the appointments kids get to watch TV on the ceiling. CONVENIENT LOCATION & afternoon slots: The location is pretty convenient on the corner of Middlefield and Whipple, and they offer afternoon appointments at 430 which makes it slightly easier to make sure the kids are doing their check ups twice a year despite busy work schedules. They *do* get booked up so it's important to try to schedule after each appointment to get your early AM or late PM slots unless you're willing to risk last minute cancellations. read more

I took my very difficult toddler for her first dental appointment with Dr. Yasi Yazhari and it was truly one of the most amazing experiences: the ease of booking an appointment, checking in, lots of distracting fun in the waiting room, and "Bluey on the ceiling"! AKA getting to watch TV mounted to the ceiling while in the dentist chair. However, the most outstanding part of it all was Dr. Yasi, who was so gentle, kind, immediately connected with my kid, and also was great at explaining things to us. Later on, our kid fell in the bathtub and nearly lost her tooth. Dr. Yasi went above and beyond to see us the very next morning. We will be coming to Grace Dental for Dr. Yasi forever! read more

Very knowledgeable staff. I actually came here through my sister's recommendation and it was because my children's previous dentist kept suggesting I fill cavities in my eight year-old and nine-year-old's mouths. I was hesitant as to whether or not all those cavities actually needed to be filled as they were on the baby teeth and I was spending hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars on the procedures. When I came to Grace dental she looked in both of their mouths and explained that the cavities were very small and we could just watch them rather than fill them. A year into being with Grace dental and I still have not had to fill any of those cavities that we are watching. Saves me a lot of money and my kids a lot of stress. They are very thorough every time we come for a visit and I feel very comfortable here. Would highly recommend. read more

I have not had a great experience with either Dr Erik or Grace Kwon. Many of their employees have been eating their lunches in their cars and then throwing their trash onto the street. I even had to ask one to move as they were blocking my drive way. Why will they not allow them to park in their actual parking lot? It is one thing to have a customer stop on the street for 1 hour or less, but their employees park there from 7am to 6pm and tie up traffic on relatively quite neighborhood streets. At a minimum they should look to provide alternative parking for their employees and proper lunch facilities. Please do better Drs Erik and Grace Kwon. If they treat their employees as second class citizens, how will they treat you? read more

Just moved here and seen this practices has a lot of good reviews but During my visit, the receptionist came across as rude and had an attitude. The dental cleaning itself was okay, but it felt very rushed. The cleaning took about 15 minutes, and the overall appointment felt hurried, including the conversation. It seemed like the staff was under a lot of pressure and running around. If this is how they treat their employees, I am concerned about how that impacts patient care. read more

Overall, I'm extremely disappointed in this practice. I'll leave a very detailed and honest review here, which will hopefully help folks looking for their child's dentist. I have three children who have been patients at Grace Dental for the past ~4 years (starting before the move to the new office). Their office is really beautiful and my kids have always had a good experience being there. The hygienists are very nice and great with kids. Five stars for those aspects. However, from the parent POV this practice (and similarly the adult practice) have been very disappointing. They are often pushing for treatments that many pediatric dentists would consider unnecessary (the list is long). They upcharge for "add ons" without consistently informing of the added cost beforehand. This seemingly high-end practice nickel and dimes patients at check out by passing along credit card transaction fees. (Even the local donut shop covers cc fees above a $5 charge.) When my 8 yr old had a fall and needed an emergency visit, the front desk service was incredibly unfriendly on the phone and told me they were booked up and couldn't fit her in until the next day. Not once did they even ask me questions to triage the severity of the emergency (eg "is she in pain, tell us about the damage to the tooth, are any other teeth loose"). Nor did they even offer advice like "keep the broken tooth pieces in milk." No follow up from a dentist by phone either! We ended up finding another local dentist (Little Bytes down the road) who offered to make room in their schedule so she could be seen right away, and they were incredibly helpful and kind - such a contrast from a practice we had never even been to. I had a conversation with two other families recently and we realized we all send our kids to Grace Pediatric (and are adult practice patients as well). What shocked me was that everyone was having a similarly bad experience. I was shocked because they are clearly very busy and have high yelp reviews here. They offer frequent prize giveaways if customers leave a review which is probably what's boosting their rating quite frankly. A great marketing strategy, but misleading for new families. read more

Grace Dental Pediatric is the BEST pediatric dentist around. Today my daughters dental assistant was Heather and she was absolutely amazing. She took her time explaining to my daughter everything she was doing. She told my daughter that she was the "boss" so to let her know when anything felt uncomfortable or hurt and Heather would stop right away. I had my 1 year old son with me and Heather was so sweet to him even though he wasn't even her patient. You can definitely tell that Heather not only enjoys her job but also genuinely loves working with children. The upgrade is NIIICE the book shelf and the tablets are a really nice touch and give the kids something to do so they aren't sitting there nervous (even though the wait is never long) The "bubble gum machine" for prizes after the appointment is very cute and different than the average treasure chest. Five stars for ease of parking, location, very modern setup, lots of educational books for kids to read while waiting, and the very cool service day where the dentists provide free cleanings and other tooth services for the underprivileged in the community! Grace Dental is so wonderful in so many ways. The building is clean and modern... we jokingly call it the Apple Store of dental offices! We were greeted politely and professionally by their well-dressed front office staff. The waiting area has games to entertain the kids during the short wait. They have been able to schedule all 3 of our kids at the same time for cleanings and they can all sit in the same big room with 3 chairs. We have seen Dr. Quan in the past who is wonderful and this time we saw Dr. Pardis who was so kind and gentle with my 8 y.o. for what turned out to be an unexpected root canal and crown. Without nitrous my daughter was totally comfortable and not at all scared. I loved how Dr. Pardis answered her question "Is there a needle?" truthfully but without confirming the presence of a needle! We've been going here since the office was in Menlo Park and the new location has made it even better! From the kids movies on screens above as they receive treatment to the gold coin token as they leave, it's always a great experience! And for your grownup dental needs you can always head upstairs to their adult office which is also great! read more
