I have been a customer of Grace Kelly Salon since it first opened around 2008. While getting my hair done as a new customer, I mentioned that I was getting married out of town, and was so displeased with the trial hairstyle experience at the other salon. Even though she wouldn't be doing my hair on my wedding day, Kelly took time to talk to me about various options that would work with MY particular hair texture and wave, and it was clear that she really understood the "mechanics" of hairstyling. Based on her care and concern, I knew that this was the salon for me! Kelly always takes the time to talk with me prior to my services to make sure that I am happy and to ask if there is anything new or different I'd like to try with my cut or color. I have tried so many great new looks over the past seven years that I always feel like I've had a "makeover" when ever I leave the salon. One of the best parts is that Grace Kelly is a fun and supportive atmosphere. The time in the chair flies by because Kelly is engaging and FUNNY! I think some of the negative reviews might be a result of folks not getting her humor, which can be a little sarcastic at times but always in good nature. Another great feature is that Kelly always finds a way to go the extra mile for her customers. One time, I left my coffee in the car, and she went out in the rain to get it for me so I didn't have to go outside with "unfinished" hair. When a product I LOVED was discontinued, Kelly gave me a bottle from her personal supply (because it's important to her that her clients look and feel good!). Kelly and her team were nothing but professional for my friends wedding this past Saturday. My friend,the bride, and I popped in the day before just to check out the salon and see our path of travel so the groom would not have any way of seeing her! The ladies knew all about us as soon as we walked in, and expressed nothing but excitement and made us feel like family before we even sat in their chairs. When arriving at the salon on Saturday we had set up a little station for mimosa's and snacks, which Kelly had told us about the day before, GREAT IDEA! After getting set up, we then all took turns getting our hair and makeup done. Several of the girls even added makeup after the reservations were made, and the ladies were nothing but accommodating towards us. Without ever meeting us, each of our hairstyles truly captured our personalities, and held all day and night! And, the makeup application was flawless as well! If I did not live in Pittsburgh, I would be using Grace Kelly Salon for my very own wedding next year! I would like to review the awesome and friendly experience I have had at this salon. I was afraid to change hairdressers but the drive to Frederick had become too much. I go to the best manicurist in town and she happens to work here. I have had the opportunity to observe each hairdresser and was always treated like family here. I saw the awesome hairstyles leaving the salon and decided to go for it. I had Kelly do my cut and I must say it was one of the best cuts I ever had. Satisfied with that then I proceeded to try color. My hair is difficult to color and I warned Kelly ahead of time. She tried to find out the best way to get the color right and I must say she persevered until she got it right. I realize people have high expectations from hairdressers and they expect miracles but if you communicate properly these gals really are dedicated and will go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. Just a word of advice, talk and express yourself before condemning someone. This place has great people and do great work. If you are unhappy say so while you are there and believe me Kelly will make it right. read more

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Kelly and have the highest praises for her. Having moved back to the area 5 years ago from DC, I moved from salon to salon for several years before finding the Grace Kelly Salon, which has been my only place to go for a great haircut these past two years. How I found Kelly was after a stylist at another 'acclaimed' salon in town butchered my hair because she was hung-over (yes, shame on me for letting her cut my hair in the first place). Anyway, I ran to Kelly with a horrible cut and over the past two years she has helped me grow it out to a fabulous cut and style that I love. It didn't happen overnight, but she was honest with me about how long it would take and she put me on the right path. She has always been professional and honest about what is realistic for my hair. I have and do recommend her. I don't get my hair colored or use the other salon services, but I can definitely say that I will not go to another stylist in the area for my haircuts! read more

I have been a client of GK since they first opened. I was walking down the street and was captivated by the artistic signage and decor through the window glass....the rest is history! Kelly usually colors and cuts my hair, and she is fabulous! She listens carefully and offers good suggestions on what will work for my hair type (thick, wavy). When I first starting going there, I had a problem with frizz year-round. Now, I have the right hair cut and am using the right hair products for my hair type and I hardly ever deal with frizz or dryness anymore. The vibe is very friendly and fun, and I am always laughing and relaxed by the time my appontment is over. If you are looking for a salon for life and live in the greater Adams County PA or Frederick MD area, I would highly recommended GraceKelly and any of the stylists there! I have nothing but praise for the Grace Kelly Salon. I have lived in Gettysburg for 4 years and have had my hair cut & colored at 3 different salons-all experiences were disasters. I was driving back to my salon in the Philadelphia area because I was so unhappy with the quality of service & expertise I found in Gettysburg. One night driving thru town, I saw the Grace Kelly Salon lit up and customers inside. I stopped in & spoke with the owner Kelly & she listened to my issues & concerns & asked me to give them a try. That was in January 2013 & I have been going ever since. Kelly is very professional, she is very experienced--she wants her clients to leave happy. She has even called me at home to find out how I liking my color & my haircut. The salon prices are reasonable & I feel that you get what you pay for. I've been going to Grace Kelly for several years now and have experienced nothing but superb service. I moved to G'burg from the urban East Coast, near New York, and was worried I'd have to drive to DC to get my hair cut, highlighted and styled. My unfair stereotypes and biases about rural Pennsylvania have been completely undermined! I see Kelly (the owner) every several months and she's always careful to listen to my needs and concerns and take them into consideration. I find the setting to be welcoming and aesthetically pleasing and enjoy talking to Kelly when I'm there. I don't find the price to be too high given the level of service received. I've recommended her to a number of other professional women in the area and they've all been very satisfied with their experience! I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else. read more

I came to the salon because my stylist, Heather, transferred to Grace Kelly. I have been coming here for about a year. The decor of the salon is beautiful. They always have my products in stock when I need to purchase them. The staff is friendly and will make you fill welcome. The staff takes good care of you when you are there. I trust Heather with my hair and I am never disappointed when I leave. The prices are comparably to any other high end salon. If you want Hair Cuttery prices, then go there but, you will not get the results like you would here. I drive over an hour to get my hair done at Grace Kelly with Heather and I will keep going there. Ever since I turned 18 and my hair became too gray to get away with going natural, I have been getting my hair done. I've gone to the same person for over 10 years! I would travel over an hour to see her once a month when she was in Chambersburg. Now, she has changed salons to Grace Kelly Salon, and she's so much closer to me! I refuse to let anyone else touch my locks because she does such a beautiful job. The salon she moved to, Grace Kelly Salon, is lovely! It's trendy and cute, and the people are so nice! I love this salon. I love the services I receive and most importantly, I love the girls and how much fun I have when I am there. Today, I got hair extensions which are "the bomb"! I haven't felt this confident in years. I usually get lash extensions, hair color and cut. Tiffany does the greatest lash fills in the world. At other salons, I have had trouble with the glue but I never have a problem at Grace Kelly. Hair color is ALWAYS perfect and I ALWAYS love my hair cut. Wow, what a great experience! I was so surprised to find such an amazing and chic salon right in the middle of Gettysburg in the Grace Kelly Salon. Having had several bad experiences in other local shops, I was sure that I was going to have to head to the larger surrounding cities to get that upscale cut & color to which I had become accustomed living in Washington, DC. I love this salon! The atmosphere was very professional yet fun! I had my hair styled for my wedding and so did my 6 bridesmaids, mother and mother in-law. We all looked amazing and got exactly what we asked for with their expert trendy twist to make the hair perfect. All the stylist were very helpful and knew exactly how to do each one of our styles. Our wedding party of seven were all thrilled with the hair and makeup by this salon. Their courtesy call the day before ensured that we were all prepared and that all of our special requests were in place. I'm not from the area, but I found this salon online and decided to give it a chance. I needed a really nice hairstyle for an event I was attending and my stylist completely exceeded my expectations. My hair was gorgeous and on top of that the super talented young receptionist even saved me some time by doing my makeup (way better than I could have!)
