My child has been enrolled at LePort since the infant program. He had Mrs. Sheikh as his infant…read moreteacher and she did amazing to prepare him for the Toddler program. She is loving and no nonsense at the same time. That's the best combination of you ask me. The teachers who care and push you to be better at what you do. Before the transition to the Toddler program Mrs. Sheikh paused and ended up recommending a different teacher instead of the originally assigned teacher. She took the time to consider my son's personality and thought about whose teaching style would best suit him and allow him to thrive. This really speaks volumes to the amount of care and thought that goes into each stage of your child's journey at LePort. My son is currently in Ms. Arzate's toddler class. I wanted to take a moment to recognize her and thank her for all that she does. She not only educates our children, but us parents as well, similar to Mrs. Sheikh. The moment that I appreciated the most is when I came in complaining about everything that my son was doing "wrong" and she stopped me and had me reflect on what I was saying in front of my child. During the moment, I wanted to cry and felt like in some way I had failed my son as a Mom. This honest moment, helped me step back and re-evaluate my interactions with my son. I didn't want him to feel bad like he was always doing something wrong, when in fact he's doing really great. I want him to know that I see his progress and that I am really proud of him and that he should be proud of himself. The next day, on the way to pick up our son, my husband and I were talking about my husband's concerned about wet events in public. I thought about the conversation that I had with Ms. Arzate. I said to him that this may be a year long journey and we can't keep our son exclusively at home or school for a full year. I reminded him that originally our son wasn't going to start night potty training until 6-8 weeks of daytime potty training. At two weeks into daytime potty training, Ms. Arzate's already felt that he was ready to start night time potty training. It was quite the accomplishment and I wanted us to recognize that. We ended taking our son out for dinner and at the end of the meal, my son stopped what he was doing and started to say "pee pee". He held it in until I could rush him to the car and peed in his travel potty. Later, before bed, he got up to go to the bathroom. I expected him to wait for me in the hallway or bathroom in the dark. However, he got up on the stool, turned on the bathroom lights then sat and peed in the potty without being prompted. The culmination of all the hard work by the teachers is starting show through. I am in awe and incredibly grateful for the teachers and staff at LePort of the wonderful work they do to prepare our children for the future. Don't let the older facility look fool you into going somewhere that looks newer. It's the teachers, staff and community that make LePort an amazing place that you can trust to send your child.

Our son recently started in Ms. Gallo's toddler class and is absolutely thriving! We were able to…read moredo a meet & greet before starting which helped him officially put a face to his teacher's name. Ms. Gallo was very informative during the meet & greet and helped eased a lot of my anxieties putting him into a new environment. When he officially started, Ms. Gallo would call and gave updates on how he was doing. Every day after class, she would let us know how his day went and continued to reassure that things would get better. Our son took to her right away. She has been warm, empathetic, and observant of his needs. Over the past couple months, our son has begun to really thrive! He is more confident in himself and very independent. He has taken the skills that he's learned in school and has started generalizing to home. He grabs his plate and utensils when it's meal time. He cleans up after himself when he's done eating. He uses the potty, cleans up, and washes his hands independently. His speech has grown exponentially. He went from speaking in simple sentences with improper grammar and pronoun usage to speaking in complex sentences. It is apparent that his language abilities are really being fostered in class. It is amazing how much he's grown in such a short amount of time. He talks about his friends daily and tells me how much he loves Ms. Gallo. We are so happy that Ms. Gallo is our first teacher and so excited to see how much he'll continue to grow.

While there was a brief transition period a few years ago with a couple of short-term principals, the school completely found its stride two years ago when our permanent--and absolutely amazing--principal took the helm. Village View truly feels like a family where everyone knows everyone. The teachers are incredible, and the PTO is deeply supportive, backed by a fantastic community of involved parents. When one of my children qualified for the GATE program, we had the option to transfer to the district's magnet school, but we ultimately chose to stay. The welcoming environment and tight-knit community at Village View were simply the perfect fit for our family.

Academically she's so far advanced in comparison to other family and friends in similar grades. She has been able to read since kindergarten and her reading comprehension is arguably better than most 8/9/10 year olds. Shes already been introduced to nutritional science, animal and plant sciences. They have a garden each grade gets to utilize. She is learning cursive and how to properly prepare reports and write in paragraph form. She's learning g Spanish, and they do several performances a year. The class size is smaller and it's one of my most favorable things about Carden. I love that she's able to get some extra attention if needed. And that all of the teachers know who she is and are readily able to help in any way they can. The school very much feels close knit and family oriented. And I'm so thankful she's not walking around a school going unnoticed. I have and will continue to brag and boast about this school. And if you're even slightly curious I highly recommend coming by to see for yourself!

With one child now in elementary another in TK, we continue to stay because the level of education and personal development is amazing. They focus on not just the child's academic development but social development as well, recognizing that each child is different and has different needs. With the change in ownership in 2025, we have seen increased communication and a new passion for growing the community and improving the school. I can't say how amazing it is to know your kids are part such a warm and welcoming environment. Communication with families is excellent, and we always feel informed and supported. It's clear that the staff and leadership deeply care about the children and the community they're building. Even when we have had issues or concerns the staff there listen to our concerns and work with us to resolve. I would recommend this school to any parents, knowing you will be part of an amazing community.

We are now an integrated part of the MCDC family, with students enrolled since 2017. Yes, that's 9 years and still going. I can't say enough how wonderfully the teachers at MCDC care for their students and provide the foundations for independence, emotional IQ, and academics. Now, to be completely transparent, everyone is human, people/businesses make mistakes, but here is the thing about MCDC, they will course-correct and not turn a blind eye to parents' feedback. The school did go through an ownership change during the summer of 2025. Current families at the time, including myself, were obviously concerned; no one ever likes change when something is already so good to be true. Before then, teachers rarely left, but I think, coincidentally, a few teachers left around the same time as the ownership change. To my understanding, it was mainly due to changing personal and family situations. But for the families who remained through the transition, now steady into the new academic year, I feel that the school has continued its strengths and has gotten even better. The new director has invested in facility improvements and brought in new education programs, it's like a breath of fresh air. Shout out to all the teachers there for the amazing work they have done and continue to do with my kids.
