Within 3 weeks of owning the vehicle, I was left stranded on the side of the highway. You did kindly take it in for service right away and would cover it.
Roughly 2 weeks being in your shop, I get the car back on 4/4, on Tuesday 4/9 I start hearing a familiar noise like last time when the flex plate failed. By 4/12 the flex plate had cracked again.
Because I know you will reply to this, so I'll get it out of the way. You sent me pictures of the undercarriage of my vehicle showing there's mud and dirt underneath so that must be a sign of abuse. I explained the situation, and why there was mud on the bottom of the car. You told me I was offroading which is probably the dumbest thing I have heard considering my riding boots and atv helmet were still in the vehicle. The field the car was in was soft ground from rain the night before into that morning, and yes it got stuck, and a truck pulled it out. I didn't send the vehicle through a trail as you'd put it, black paint/body panels are still in pristine condition.
HERE'S WHERE YOU NEED TO PAY ATTENTION. According to the SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND THE OWNER, if the vehicle gets stuck it will break the flex plate and/or transmission. So every Crown Vic, Grand Marquis, or Lincoln Town Car, if they get stuck you need to repair the transmission? So everyone in the northeast if it snows and the vehicle gets stuck they must have the most expensive repair bills if they ever buy a Ford.
So with that being said, DO NOT buy any Ford vehicle from this store, as the owner and service department admit, the cars they sell can't handle "abuse" and when your car is "abused" they won't stand by their own repairs that fail 1 week later.
Grace Quality Cars, you may be able to fool someone who doesn't know vehicles, but I know what broke and I know its not due to abuse, any mechanic would point the finger at the install. I was the one that told you what was broken and you confirmed that upon it arriving at your shop, then you wanted to play dumb when it showed up a second time. I specifically went to you for help and was ecstatic you were able to get me an approval, I won't deny that. I paid a premium to avoid dealing with a private seller worrying I would have an issue, and instead I payed a premium and I'm still out of a car with the same repair bills. I don't expect you to make this car new, but sorry, your service department is a joke. You will say you helped the first time, but it's as if it never happened, because guess what, the car is still broken from your first time "fixing" the issue.
Paula you were quick to take the sale, but offered zero support afterwards. I hope any new/potential customers sees this. You took almost every one of my calls and never once offered assistance. You brushed me off and transferred the calls as quick as you took the money. And I can say with confidence, I was never short, rude, or abrasive with you in hopes you would try to help. Wrong again in my assumptions.
Steven Gelman the owner, you of all people should really consider how you treat and talk to your customers considering we're the ones putting food on you and your employees tables. Thank you for your generous offer of waiving the $75 diagnosis report, to tell me my car is broken a second time, I knew that already. I'm sure you'll respond saying how you tried working with me and that you were very generous in attempting the repair, but your mechanic wasted your money.
To close, I will not buy a vehicle from you again. I will never refer anyone to your store, I will post this review on every platform possible, and I hope that this one service mistake you made will constantly be a reminder for how you should treat your customers when YOUR team messes up. Not to pass the blame onto your customers.
Everyone reading this, if you can afford to buy one private party for less, you might as well because even if your car has an issue, it will not be resolved, you will be responsible for missed work, tow bills, repair costs, rentals, etc. And Grace 'Quality' Cars will still have the profit they made off of you while you're waiting for a tow truck. read more
