I saw that they were enrolling soon and decided to email the owner right away for some more information. She responded very quickly and soon we went in to sign up. When you first start, Traci gives you a couple weeks to try it out just in case your child ends up not liking it. I thought that was great because, well, if you pay money for something and later your kid doesn't want to do it anymore, it's a waste! Our daughter, needless to say, LOVES ballet and tap! She also loves her teachers there. They are just so friendly and makes her feel at home whenever she comes in. It's a pretty small community here at this dance studio, not like the one closer to my house where I see so many kids come in and out of. I like the smaller classes, especially for Lia as she gets quite distracted sometimes. It helps her to learn in these small classes a lot better and she feel she has more one on one time.

Great idea, poor execution with our son's class…read more We signed our super excited 6 year old son for a 6 week hip hop class here. He has been taking Jazz, tap & ballet for the last 3 years. On the 1st day it became an issue with the instructor that we as his parents wanted to see how the class was instructed. The observation room offers a very restricted view of the dance floor and being his 1st time there, we sat in the corner of the dance floor area. This seemed to bother the instructor so much that the class was disrupted with a visit to the owner to get us to move. Even being told that "banter between the parent and child is a distraction". Though resolved by the owner who understood, we were left with a less than ideal 1st impression. We continued to bring our son because he loves hip hop and there are limited resources in the Omaha area. Unfortunately, almost every class was led by a different instructor which is not the best environment for children. We will be looking for a more consistent environment to continue our sons hip hop dance education :) Hopefully Youtube will not be the only alternative. On a side note, the studio looks great!

I like the adult choreography class, the workshops they offer over the summer and the break dance class. The studio is a very funky and cool space, it has graffiti all over the walls. The teachers are knowledgeable about the style they instruct. The have adult classes which is hard to find in the Omaha area. They also are active in the flash mob dances around Omaha. That is a really neat event to participate in. I think overall the atmosphere is pure hip hop dance. Great for kids and adult classes.

His first teacher was great, but she left early last year. This didn't feel like a dance studio, it felt like I was in a never ending episode of Glee. I don't feel it was organized and I didn't feel my son was wanted there as well. Frankly, don't waste the money when there's more established dance studios throughout Omaha.

this is the PLACE!!! Gosh, I could say 100 different things about what I love about PLNK but I'll…read moretry and keep it brief. I saw an ad online for your first class free and I thought why not. Walking in I was honestly super intimidated -- the machines look terrifyingly confusing and everyone looks like they know what they are doing, so naturally I was shaking in my boots not knowing what to expect. However, upon walking in I was greeted with smiles and they took me to my machine to show me a few of the moves and how to operate it before it started. I had a little card with my name on it welcoming me, a sweat towel, and a free boxed water. I had to buy grippy socks at the front desk because I didn't have any (& didn't know I needed them) that were about $15. They had me placed next to a gal who was a pro at PLNK, and thank goodness they did otherwise I would have been absolutely lost. Once the clock starts, there is no stopping. The instructor is always super clear on giving step by step directions to follow so you can understand even if you've never done it before. There are mirrors all around the room, so worst case scenario you can just look at the reflection & see what others are doing and follow suit. Olivia was my instructor for the first PLNK class ever, and she crushed it (or me? Well.. both). The next morning my abs were so sore I couldn't sit up in bed.. literally. I was d e c e a s e d. I really like Pilate-type movements because it's more gentle on the joints, but I don't like the ease or pace of Pilates which is why I love PLNK so much. It is easy on the joints but also has resistance to grow and tone your muscles & get you in amazing shape in no time. This is the first group class I have ever genuinely enjoyed AND seen results from (I have tried many yall.. so that's a big statement for me). The instructors are sweet and the facility is spotless and clean. You will love your experience here!! Tanya and Olivia are definitely the hardest, I haven't been to all the instructors yet but Meghan is awesome for first timers! Your first class is free, try it out!!! TIPS : - they will probably put you next to someone who is well versed in PLNK so you can have a constant guide next to you. Feel free to ask them to do it as well if you're really concerned! - buy your grippy socks before on Amazon if you want to save a few bucks - watch a few YouTube videos on the megaformer before you take your first class to give you an idea of what you'll be doing - stretch prior to your class - don't be scared, you'll do great!!

I wish the instructor spent a little more time helping me. It was a bit overwhelming, but that may also be a normal reaction considering it was my first time. Class overall is very fast paced. It was a great workout, however. I wish the studio was still available through ClassPass because I do not see myself purchasing classes separately through them.
