Unfortunately, we had to make the decision to do the right thing to euthanize her as her IBD had progressed too far. Obviously, extremely sad for us, however ... I cannot tell you how much compassion and solace were extended to us by the entire staff. Dr. Shivers, who treated her, Dr. Finkes who met us while we waited for Dr. Shivers to make a special trip to the office just to be with us could not have cared more. Everyone there was so supportive in our grief. It means so much when professionals like this care enough to show the empathy they did as if it were their own pet. My wife and I appreciate the understanding and sympathy they showed us to make the horrible experience of losing your pet as bearable as possible. We will absolutely be switching vets for our other two furry family members and highly recommend this practice. Thank you Brawley Animal Hospital.

We've recently juggled the International Health Certificate puzzle for transport of both of our dogs- and we couldn't have done it without the determined help of Dr Finkes and the Brawley team. Sad to not have them as our Vet since moving abroad but recommend them 100%!

Hi... I have been a client at Westshore animal Hospital in Denver, North Carolina…read more Recent visits for my very ill, senior cat named Lacey was handled with great compassion for her. Dr Kendall (Mrs) took care of her. Her husband is also a vet there (Mac). I have five cats now as I recently adopted two kittens Both Dr Kendall's have treated them over the years. I have the greatest respect for them and their practice... My cat Lacey had some really serious issues two weeks ago. Mrs. Dr Kendall went so above and beyond for Lacey. Several days ago, Lacey developed an upper respiratory infection. I was able to get her appointment immediately same day. Again, they treated her so gently and caring. Lacey is on her way to being healthy again. I have never had one single issue with this practice --never. The staff is also incredible and every single one of them are eager to help you the minute you walk in the door. And a bonus is they always have snacks and drinks in the lobby. Ha ha. They have even recently started after hours care. I love that . If you are looking for a veterinarian practice or even wanting a change in the practice you go to now I promise you will not be disappointed. Westshore animal Hospital in Denver, North Carolina on Highway 16 is a practice you will find wonderful very knowledgeable, doctors and staff. They do surgery boarding and all kinds of other things. Our pets are our family and they are treated as such by them. I just can't say enough about them. My recent experience with Lacey and how Dr Kendall treated her will always stay with me. I hope you give them the opportunity to show you how wonderful they are. Dr. Kendall has been so on top of being very observant of Lacey. Throughout treating Lacey for vomiting and diarrhea, weight loss, etc. she is so knowledgeable. She just knew there was more to it. She was able to determine my Lacey 12 years old has early stage two kidney disease. Had she not been as diligent as she was my kitty would probably not be here today. She knew exactly what to do. And explain to me in such a way I was able to totally understand what I now need to do to give Lacey the best life possible -She explained to me the special renal support prescription diet she now has to be on. She fully explained what kidney disease is in cats and how it is treated. She demonstrated to me how to give subcutaneous fluids to Lacey at home. I gave my first one on my own tonight. Yes I was nervous you bet! I stuck the heck out of myself too.. Was not a pretty sight. It was my own nerves that got to me. I just about gave up... But with Dr. Kendall's encouragement in the video I took of her demonstration. I watched it again and tried to do it again. As she taught me to do I put a fresh needle on and oh my goodnessI actually did it! I am very grateful to Dr Kendall for all she has done for my Lacey and will continue to do to ensure my Lacey receives the best care ever! I know this is a long review, but I feel it is so important to share with you about the lengths Dr. Kendall and her hubby, Dr Mac truly go to to care for your fur babies. (I never write reviews... So this will give you some idea of how much it meant to me for Lacey to be quickly diagnosed as Dr Kendall did. She literally saved my senior kitty's life)

They overcharge and push unnecessary nonsense like so many but at least they were friendly. We took both of our dogs into get their annual vaccines. We then booked a night for them to be boarded when we had a family event at our house. But surprise! We when dropped them off to be boarded there was another $500 in vaccines and fecal tests that had to be done or they couldn't stay. So we are backed into a corner and forced to pay with no other options. This is a shady and disgusting business practice and we will not be coming back. I would not recommend this Vet at all.

Harbor Paws? More like Harbor Pause... Nail Day Canceled…read more I prepaid $249 for a one-year Harbor Paws care plan for my dog. My appointment was confirmed 48 hours in advance, but less than 24 hours later, Tara, the practice manager, told me I was unfit for their practice and that no refund would be given. She said this was because of a previous review I wrote, not anything related to my pet's care. I was denied most of the services I paid for, including doctor visits and nail trims. I've escalated this to corporate and the veterinary board. Potential clients should know prepaid plans here may be canceled at the practice's discretion.

That vet is no longer there. I scheduled her for a teeth cleaning in February. I was called and told my dogs heart rate had dropped to about 10 and she was now in oxygen. They told me she would have to go to the ER vet in Huntersville where she could get extensive care. Apon picking her up she was comatose and they brought her to me wrapped in a blanket. I knew she would not survive the drive to Huntersville and after pleading for them to do something the vet that was supposed to do her cleaning said he would take her with an assistant holding portable oxygen. When I arrived the ER vet attending to her gave her very little chance of survival and was told I could put her to sleep that day. I refused, 4 days and 4 nights, 5000 dollars later she recovered. That is not all. A few days before she was scheduled for her cleaning, they sent me an email stating she was scheduled for euthanasia. Although I was alarmed I brought it to their attention thinking it was an awful mistake. I am beyond upset that this happened and just don't want it to happen to anyone else's animal.

I appreciate that they offer later hours on weeknights, and they ALWAYS fit us in, even if it's close to closing time. That's usually when our dog seems to have issues, too, when our usual vet is already closed. No matter who we have seen--or at what time--we have received exceptional care at NMAH. So far, we've seen Dr. David James, Dr. Paul Kritzinger, Dr. Schaff (now retired), Dr. Kimberly Renehan, Dr. Rachel Spickler, Dr. Katie Blackard, and Dr. Anna Shaffer. The doctors are extremely thorough, and we always leave feeling like JoJo has been well cared for. They are also great about emailing us visit summaries and aftercare instructions, and they share details of our visits with our usual vet to ensure communication of her treatment plans. Even NMAH's technicians and front desk staff are wonderful. Everyone is just so warm and compassionate, and they understand the urgency of our situations. We highly recommend NMAH!

I have been to 3 so far; the first two were nice, but didnt particularly stand out. Fortunately, Dr Holland did at North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital. I have brought in 2 of my cats so far, and each time Dr Holland has been great with them, and has researched info on medications and options with specialists both for my cats with FIP and with eye issues; both visits, he was understanding about pricing concerns and gave options that I felt were fair and helpful, including thorough emails with additional info and follow up. The office is impeccably clean and the staff very kind. I have passed his info on to the rest of the family, and finally feel that we've found our new vet.
