Rhonda is god awful rude. She really needs a couple of classes in customer relations. Asked a question of where an item was and her reply back was hateful. I was looking for her name on her name tag and she noticed I was looking at her. She then began to say, we don't take the bells out and I'm following what my manager says. I told her that was not a problem at all but she didn't have to be rude about it. Her reply, "I'm not!" (While she's in the middle of ringing another customer up). I had to tell RHONDA to stop and finish ringing out the customer. Rhonda was so unprofessional and inappropriate. She kept talking out loud about how she's not rude and she is following protocol and really showing her immaturity at such an old age. Don't worry Rhonda. I put everything back. I didn't waste my money in Grace's Hallmark. I'll go to Amy's Hallmark instead. The employees are much nicer there and have no problem assisting customers. read more

I drop into this shop about once a month, as it's by my pharmacy, and it's always a pleasure to visit. The store is clean and organized by theme and there's always great sale items. All of the employees I've ever encountered are friendly and polite and will help you find anything. Anytime I need a small gift, it's the first place I go to and I rarely have to make another stop. Today, the manager took extra time to show me some of the interactive ornaments that are coming out this month and helped me sign up for the rewards program so I can get discounts. A good Hallmark store is one of the staples of every community - a place to get cards and gifts, candles and toys, and fun items that just cheer you up when you see them. I was surprised this store had negative reviews and thought I'd at least offer a different perspective. read more

If you want a store full of rude old ladies, this is the store for you. I went in and dropped $70 on some much wanted collectibles and you'd think I spit on them by the reaction I got from two of the employees. I was nothing but nice and cordial and even tried to strike a little conversation. I guess you have to be a mean old white lady to get anything nice out of anyone. read more

I shop here because of its proximity to my home and to the grocery store that I frequent, but have become increasingly disappointed in this store's overall availability to its surrounding community. The service is fine (I usually receive a greeting upon entry, in contrast to other reviews here), the greeting card offerings seem to have FINALLY returned to appropriate levels of inventory (after a couple of years enduring vast swaths of empty card displays that never seemed to get replenished), and there is a visible attempt at offering new merchandise to appeal to contemporary tastes. But, what I find reprehensible (and what has urged me to write this review) is the annoying fact that this store does not always honor its posted business hours! I write here on the week following Mother's Day, to say that I was appalled to find the store completely CLOSED on Mother's Day! All day!!! Now, I had already mailed MY Mother's Day cards more than a week prior, but needed a Congratulations-type card for someone I had a meeting with Monday morning. The store was dark as I arrived to the parking lot, and I witnessed another potential customer walking up to the door only to find it locked. From a distance, I could see what was probably a self-printed notice taped to the window which probably said "We're Closed!" I immediately felt sympathy for anyone who might have needed a last-minute Mother's Day card. Obviously, the owner did not feel any comparable level of sympathy. This immediately reminded me of a similar situation when I came there, again on a Sunday, arriving a few minutes after 5pm, knowing their posted hours indicated they would close at 6pm. Incredulously, there was that telltale, self-printed notice taped to the door saying they closed at 5 that day in order to host an employee Christmas party! (The party could not have waited til 6 to begin? Really?!?) Mr. Owner, you are certainly at liberty to open and close your doors at will, but rest assured, your customers are similarly at liberty to shop elsewhere! It's one thing for you to spend time, money and effort to boost your inventory, but it's all to no avail if customers cannot rely on your doors to be open to see it. Believe it or not, you do not just sell greeting cards.... You are in the "relationship business." When someone needs a card for someone with whom they have a relationship, they really -- REALLY! -- need that card! Sometimes "tomorrow" doesn't suffice; and it shouldn't HAVE to if you would simply honor your posted business hours. I post this with hopes of raising your awareness of how your capricious changes to the business hours posted both on your door and online have a profound effect on how your customers view your store: Nice, but unreliable; better have a backup plan in case they're closed when you really need them! I hope you will appreciate that for me to have taken time from my busy day to write all of this means that this aspect of your business is very unbecoming, and that such unreliability necessitates that I begin to look elsewhere to spend the hundreds of dollars I do each year in greeting cards. I've shopped at this location about 6 times between 2012 and 2014. This location is markedly different because the customer service is minimal. Employees talk amongst themselves, rarely asking if they can help. Half the time, I've not been greeted upon entering, even though I may be the only one in the store and/or there are 2 or more employees clustered at the front. This location is stingy in regard to coupons and Hallmark advertisements: they don't always honor them, citing that their location doesn't participate in that particular promotion or that they just have never seen that coupon and don't know where it could possibly have come from. Shopping here is like pulling teeth. There are other local Hallmark stores, and I would recommend going to a different location, based on my experience. Went in right before Mother's Day to pick up a card. I left because there were 4 or 5 employees behind the counter and 8 people lined up. I returned later and there was no line so I took a card to the counter. Greeting? Nope. No acknowledgement, no hello, etc from anyone of the 4 people behind the counter. I know they had voices, because 2 of them were griping to other employees about the work or when they had to work. No thank you at the end, nothing. I am not looking for a new friend but a little acknowledgement I am there in front of you would be nice. What was astounding to me is no employee there said to the other "Hey!
