We have been coming to Dr Sullivan for over 15 years now.. She is the kindest, most gentle dentist and truly caters to children. She has literally seen my children grow up and has become part of our family. She always remembers details about my children from their last visit and talks to them about what she is doing during the procedure to ease any fear they may have about being at the dentist. Dr Sullivan genuinely cares about her patients and we also look forward to seeing her at every visit. As for the cleanliness of her office; it's impeccable and she takes every precaution to ensure safety for her patients as a business owner post COVID. She does not schedule multiple patients at the same time and continues to maintain a lobby where social distancing can be achieved to further ensure safety. We have never been recommended a service or procedure that was not medically necessary and she provides excellent resources to other providers, such as orthodontics, etc. Overall, Dr Sullivan has always exceeded our expectations during every visit and she is the only dentist I would take a child to. for 5 children appointments but this office doesn't have enough chairs for all, even though the space is ample. They overbooked patients all the time, and on my last visit while taking care of two of my children a new family (white family) arrived. The office manager (also white) came up to my kids and asked them to get up and give the chairs to the new family, but why? My kids were being the patiens at the moment. We are a Hispanic family we never get to feel discriminated, but in this case concede our seats to the new patients was just one instance that she made me feel this way. Also, be aware If you have state insurance this office "casually" make mistakes and charge your insurance for services they didn't provide. Around two time I was charged for x-rays we didn't get. Been coming to Dr. Sullivan & her team since my son's 1st dentist appointment as a toddler, he is now 6 years old. We have never had any issues nor rude customer service. The front desk & dentist assistants are always wonderful, helpful & quick. I love they are child friendly & welcoming so my son feels safe & comfortable going. Place is always clean, no parking issues, & nice area. Doctor always communicates well after the appointment. My son loves they play Disney movies while getting serviced, and then at the end he gets stickers or a little toy or a kids' dental kit at the end of his appointment. This dentist office is a drive for us since we are in Long Beach, but I have been really pleased all these years with the all the services they provide my son I make the drive. Dr Graciela and her staff are great !We had an awesome experience from start to finish .When I called to book for my 15 months old triplets appointment the lady at the front desk was very kind and patient. When we arrived at the office we check in the receptionist was very nice and accommodating .Place was clean and warm ,plenty of toys to keep little ones occupied .Triplets were very happy playing with all the toys ,the receptionist played with them as well . If I could give more than 5 stars I would Dr.Sullivan and her entire staff are amazing she is gentle and so nice. Took my 5 year old for a second opinion after a bad experience with another dentist who wanted to fill my little girls mouth with amalgam her reasoning was they where baby teeth that are going to fall out, if I wanted the white resin it would be $400 I was so upset. Took my daughter after my sister referred us to Dr.Sullivan my niece had a great experience with her to we all live about 45 -60 minutes away and let me tellyou I will be driving from now to see her. My daughter had 4 cavities filled walked out of the office so happy she said she felt no pain and would like to come back. Oh and my insurance covered the white fillings nothing out of pocket and Dr.Sullivan doesn't use amalgam. read more

I have been meaning to write this review because everyone at this office is great. My kids don't have a fear of dentist, which I am confused and grateful for. But I feel I have to thank Dr. Sullivan for that. I have taken my 8yr old, 3 yr old, and 2 yr old to see her. My 3 yr old front tooth died and she just had an extraction today by Dr. Sullivan. She and the hygienist talked to my daughter through the procedure and she was such a trooper. My 2 yr old is definitely the more "sensitive" one and when they did a routine check she sang this cute song with numbers which calmed him down and not squirm....as much lol. Everyone at this office is very calm and try to work with your schedule. The only thing I have to say is that there are no Friday appts, which is a bummer. But don't let one day deter you from this dentist. She is totally worth it. read more

My kids both needed a tremendous amount of work. It was a bit of a humiliating moment for me as a parent. However, Dr. Sullivan did not make me feel that way. When she walked through the treatment plan with me she was so reassuring it didn't make me feel defeated. We got to work the very next week and after treating my youngest I was definitely convinced that I found a secret hidden pediatric dentist angel. He had extractions done and yet 2 hours later was telling me how much he loves is Dentist. The overall experience was made so well for him that he isnt afraid to go back. Tried to go to this dentist with our 3 year old , could go in due to an insurance issue , we have been dealing with for months and now dealt with . We made the appointment , showed up , then were turned away due to the insurance issue . That is not reason I am giving two stars , they did what they could and followed there protocol I get that . The thing that upset me was , as in my line of work I have to turn away people without the correct paperwork, but if the occasion were come up , I deal with it in a nice professional matter . The blonde front desk lady put a very bad taste in my mouth ( I am actually writing this a week after this happened to really think this over ) she was rude and argumentative when we're trying to figure out the problem at hand . She gave no help and shooed us away as soon as she could . I just can't go back to a place who would trust a person like that in their front lines of customer service , especially with my child . read more

This is the best pediatric dentist that I have seen, very patient with my two autistic children. I highly recommend Dr. Sullivan, especially for parents that have special needs children. My 10 y/o has a lot of anxiety with dentists, so much so that we typically have to go in to a hospital for work. Dr. Sullivan has been extremely patient and gentle with my son, we have been taking baby steps and only doing what my son will allow each visit. My son's first visit constituted on sitting in the chair and meeting the staff, the next visit he got x-ray's done and the Dr. was able to count his teeth. My 8 y/o is anxious, but does well with the nitrous, Dr. Sullivan and the staff talk my children through procedures. For example my 8 y/o likes to see what is going on and with the nitrous over his nose it is hard for him to see what they are doing, so they show him the tools and let him feel them with his fingers until he is comfortable. They also allow the children to play video games and watch movies during procedures and cleanings. The staff is very helpful, even with referrals and scheduling the appointments at a time when it would benefit my child. When it comes to billing they are helpful and will do a pre-authorization so that I know what my cost-share will be before the procedure. read more

I cannot say enough about the entire staff which in itself speaks volumes about DR. Sullivan. My daughter, who does not have an issue with the dentist, is 6 years old. She has been visiting a dentist since her 1st birthday and is fine. We wanted to make the change to a pediatric dentist to continue her acceptance of visits. After her recent cleaning Dr. Sullivan let me know that she had cavities...her 1st cavities :( Oh no!!! Well, I had nothing to worry about. I found Dr. Sullivan through my insurance company and feel like I hit the jack pot with a pediatric dentist. My first impression at my first visit was seeing a very kid friendly and warm environment. All the staff I have encountered have been so gentle with my kids and attentive to them. My four year old has had two cleanings and my one year old has had one. I took my 4 year old to Dr. Sullivan for cavity removal and fillings. The staff was very 'child' oriented, they talked to my toddler in a manner that was professional and kid friendly. Yet the procedure with Dr. Sullivan was absolutely intolerable for me and my toddler. My son was screaming, ouch it hurts, many many times. His back was arched and he was hyperventilating. I had to ask Dr. Sullivan to please let him calm down, they did not. Dr. Sullivan encountered a cavity that was intense, and a possible root canal yet instead of stopping and scheduling an appt with an anesthetist she partially performed a procedure that she could not finish, leaving my toddler in great pain and fear. Our appointment was 4 hours ago and my son is still crying and I am now searching for a pediatric dentist that can do an emergency procedure and finish was Dr. Sullivan did not. Dr. Sullivan caused irrevocable fear of dentists to my son, fillings should not hurt to the level that she performed on my 4 year old. read more

Love this Dentist!! I live in Corona and drive to Huntington Beach each time my 3 kids need to go to the Dentist. I have a child with Down Syndrome that did not like going to the Dentist at all and would freak out to put it mildly. They were so accommodating in scheduling appointments immediately after lunch or as their last appointment so they would have no patients during that time. Now, he is not afraid, and gets whatever work needs to be done by himself. In his words, " I do it by myself mom". He has grown so much because they were so patient with him!! Dr. Sullivan is so calming and patient with my kids and the staff is wonderful!! This is my dentist of choice!! We have been going to Dr. Sullivan for 8 years. All four of my children love her and her staff. They are professional, caring and experienced. I have referred three families with young children to her and they also love her practice. My 4 year old son had to have a root canal and was under local anesthesia. The staff was very careful with handling him as he came out of anesthesia as he did not have a good reaction. They watched him for 30 minutes with me to make sure he was o.k. The staff and Dr. Sullivan are always very careful to make sure that the parents get to have a say in their child's oral care. Often times they will make suggestions based on experience and parents will ignore their suggestions with bad result. I've learned that they are the experts, have done this for many years and know what needs to be done for the best result in your child's oral health.
