I was in town for one day and decided to check out this rooftop bar. The bartenders were nice and welcoming and made a good drink. I ordered the meat and cheese board and the Tiki punch. The drink was tasty but not strong. I like the grass wall indoors but felt they could use another photo spot outside. I don't think the menu on the website is updated as the one there didn't match. It has potential. I was surprised more people weren't there. Although it does feel like the bar is only for hotel guests, it is located in the Best Western

I found out this afternoon that Warner Robins has a rooftop bar and figured I'd check it out. All told, service was good, as were the cocktails. A few notes: the website is not up to date. There are new flatbread pizzas on the menu. I had one of those new pizzas, the Fig and Pig: roasted figs, feta cheese, and bacon jelly. It was quite tasty. Likewise, the posted reward for checking in on Yelp is no longer valid, but the manager did agree to comp me for one of my drinks, which I appreciated. Other elements of service I appreciated were that recent showers had left the outside tables wet, and when I asked, they promptly dried the table off. For drinks, I got a Pink Dragon and their version of an Old Fashioned, both of which were quite tasty. The view from the rooftop is nice in the afternoon. The drinks are a little on the high side (ten-ish bucks) but there's a good pour. Parking (in the hotel parking lot) was plentiful, but I was there in the first hour after opening on a Thursday. All told, not bad and I'll be back in the future.

It has been about two years since I came here and my main issue has always been how slow the bar service is. When they first opened, I chalked it up to the establishment being new but the service hasn't changed in over two years. Tonight's bartenders were different than before, but they seemed to be deliberately slow. There were two bartenders and neither had any sense of urgency. There were five people in front of me and it took close to 20 minutes to get a drink. My friend ordered food and it took over 40 minutes because they send orders to another restaurant to be filled. This is irritating mainly because it's a rooftop BAR. The bar and the food are literally the main attractions so you'd think there would be a focus on either the bar or the food service--ideally both. The second patio adds space for more people which is nice. We came for a Harry Potter event which was really fun, but everyone at my table only had one drink because of the wait time. No one else ordered food for that same reason. Instead we waited until we left to get food somewhere else. Attending the Harry Potter event with other nerdy folks like ourselves was cool but honestly I could've invited friends to my backyard and done better for cheaper. It's just not the "rooftop bar" experience that we were hoping for so I can't recommend it.

This place has a beautiful scenery, but the bar tenders couldn't effectively make simple drinks. And the roaches dined with us

Over priced drinks... but only place in town to get frozen drinks. Their 'menu' is nothing but mediocre cheese board

Parking was easy out front and we paid our $10 to get in. Kids 13+ had to pay as well. We were definitely on the early side as there were few people there (by the time we left a few hours later, it was packed!). We got a nice table with a dedicated fan that had a clear view of the stage. The space is really cool and there are also some stadium style seats with great views of the stage. The bar had everything you could want and including a good beer selection. They also allow you to bring your own food, which is a game changer. There is one food truck onsite that rotates (it was Mexican the night we were there) and a pizza place next door with great pizza. There are some TVs playing sports and a kid's area so bring the kids and dogs. Onvce the band started, it was loud, but we had a great time here catching up with friends.

Tucked away in an unsuspecting corner of Downtown Macon, this fine dining English-style steakhouse established in 1997, offers an experience that unfolds slowly, from a puzzling entrance to a surprisingly polished dining room... and ultimately to some of the best food I've had in Middle Georgia. ARRIVAL + FIRST IMPRESSIONS Because Downtown Macon was buzzing on this particular Saturday night, my husband and I ended up parking a couple of blocks away and taking the alley the GPS insisted was our route. Let's just say the alley definitely had "first date horror movie" vibes--but the beautifully framed photos lining the walls helped cut the sketch factor a bit. Once inside, we were greeted by a friendly, outgoing staff... and immediately greeted by something else: the cigar smoke. Downtown Grill has a full bar with an impressive oak humidor and a selection of bourbons, wines, and scotches that could easily impress the most seasoned connoisseur. But that also means the bar area is smoky--very smoky. I actually questioned whether we'd wandered into the wrong place until the hostess whisked us to the back dining room, where the ambiance shifted entirely. The dining room is intimate, classic, and much more aligned with "fine dining." Cozy booths, dim lighting, soft background music, truly an escape. And once seated, I didn't smell the cigar smoke at all. Bonus points for the restrooms using cloth napkins for hand-drying, an eco-friendly and elegant touch. We had noted on our reservation that it was our anniversary, but there was no acknowledgment. Not a deal breaker, but definitely unexpected for a fine dining restaurant, especially one that's been around this long. Our server was polished, professional, and consistently attentive. No complaints there. I started with the Elderflower Refresher and my husband with an Old Fashioned, both solid. But the star of the cocktail lineup? The Lavender Margarita. An absolute hit and something I'd go back for alone. For an appetizer, we ordered the Lump Crab Cakes. As a Maryland native, my standards are sky-high. These weren't "lump" crab cakes, but for Middle Georgia they were acceptable. They were flavorful, well-seasoned, and paired perfectly with the aioli drizzled on top. Then came the French Onion Soup. I'd seen the rave reviews and they were absolutely justified, easily the best I've had in years. Rich, savory, cheesy perfection. We both opted for the special of the night, the Salmon. My husband's came with mashed potatoes and green beans. I chose broccoli and green beans. The verdict? 5 out of 5. The salmon was cooked with precision--flaky, flavorful, expertly seasoned. The veggies were fresh, vibrant, and seasoned beautifully. Truly, this was the best meal I've had in Middle Georgia, hands down. Downtown Grill may not be where I'd choose to celebrate a milestone (the lack of acknowledgment and smoky entrance made sure of that), but it is where I'll go when I want a reliably excellent, well-executed meal. The kitchen is clearly the star of the show, and they delivered an unforgettable dining experience. We'll absolutely be back, maybe not for the anniversary, but definitely for that food.
