I attended a teacher conference in Upper Arlington and we were given a gift card to Graeter's as a gift. I was told that there was something special about their "chip" flavors because it's more like a smooth chocolate swirl and it's hard to explain- you just have to experience it. I GET IT NOW! We frequent this location about twice a month and it does not disappoint! The staff are friendly, it's always pretty busy with families and high school and college aged customers there. Unplanned visit to a Graeter's since it just so happened to be across from the Whole Foods where we had dinner. We *just* remembered that Jeni's ice cream originated in Columbus and deeply regret not going to her original location. DRATS! So, after having been to a Graeter's twice when we were in Cincinnati last year, one of us thinks this place is great and one of us thinks it's only OK. She of the "it's OK" opinion got a cup with half blackberry chip and half chocolate chip. Their huge chunks of chocolate are kind of their calling card, but the chocolate itself isn't anything to write home about. He of the "it's great" opinion got a half buckeye and half blackberry chip, one of his concocted PB&J ice cream combinations. Needless to say, he was quite pleased. This is really more of a 3.5 stars place, but rounding down despite single party enthusiasm. Graeter's is my absolute favorite ice cream! I become SUPER obsessed with it in the summer and my whole family makes fun of me for how intense I become about going to Graeter's at least once a week. Although this location is the closest to where I live, the Bexley location is my "home base" due to heading to Graeter's for a treat after church each Sunday! I originally gave this Graeter's a 4 star review due to the staff here. However, I have been back quite a few times and I find them to be nice and pleasant. I love that they always have like 5-6 associates working which helps get everyone through the line quickly. Most recently, I brought my nieces and nephews here to celebrate Graeter's 150th Birthday! The staff was awesome and accommodating. We actually ended up getting in line 3 times (one for ice cream, then for more ice cream and then lastly for some to-go treats). I even joked with one associate "Well, apparently we're never leaving!" and she was sweet as she got us some more treats to-go. I mean its ice cream, how bad can it be? Sweet, cold, creamy treats that hit the spot when you're craving ice cream. What more needs to be added about Graeter's at this point? Very good traditional ice cream flavors. If you like chocolate chunks then boy are you in for a treat cause these are CHONKS. If you aren't into chocolate they have other flavors, one of my faves being a seasonal bourbon pecan. The cinammon was also a great surprise. I'll have to continue eating all the seasonal flavors just to have a fair palate to rank them on. Great and clean location, parkings pretty east. Nothing bad to say. read more

This is a must try if you are ever visiting Ohio! Their ice cream is excellent, yet super rich! Granted that this place was literally across the street from my hotel room, I had to get a pint! A pint is only a buck and change more than 2 scoops, so totally worth it if you have a freezer in your hotel room. I got a seasonal flavor of brown butter bourbon pecan. The sample they gave out was superb; I actually preferred the salted caramel, but couldn't find a pint sized container. We just had our child's birthday party here and I will start off with the hostess Marco was great! But sadly that's were it ends. First off we are paying good money to have a party there and there was absolutely no parking for our guest because it was so busy, the manger would let anyone park along the side in the back, instead his solution was to have our guest park across a busy 4lane and divided street at Krogers parking lot. Secondly they were WAY over the fire department limit for the play area and they still continued to let more and more people in it was so packed you could barely move. Third, the manger was running around the play room screaming at kids. Fourth, we had two teenage girls from our party in the bathroom when a male worker knocked on the bathroom asked if there was anyone in there they said yes and he still continued to go in and change the trash while they were in there. We have no problem paying good money for our child's party but that also comes with expectations and this place failed miserably at meeting them! We got in before the rush, and got some ice cream and smoothies. A little expensive, but very enjoyable. I always used to get the raspberry chip, with huge chunks of chocolate. Too rich for me anymore, but they have good flavors. Cramped parking lot, so be very careful driving and walking. I think there were a few tables outside, but we stayed in the AC. Lots of kids, both customers and employees. Service was good. Decent selection.
