Consistently delicious; I was diusappointed to learn the lunch counter had closed when I went by in early April. Is it still closed?

The food was great at the Graffam Bros food truck. Unfortunately they had hired or at least allowed a man with an acoustic guitar and the worst singing voice I have ever heard someone sing in from an amplified speaker. We arrived prior to his appearance and ordered. We might have chosen to leave instead of order if he had started before we ordered. When we arrived all the tables were full. Three songs into this man's set the only tables still occupied were close to the road, as far away from his speaker as possible. Someone do this guy a favor and tell him he should not be performing music in public. read more

We decided to try this place for some lobster rolls. A very nice marketplace and deli. We also enjoyed some fresh oysters from Maine, fresh and delicious. The service was very friendly hot ladies at the counter and the men in kitchen preparing the lobster rolls and oysters on half shell. Great service and clean casual setting. Only drawbacks was the miniature size of the lobster rolls although the lobster meat was very fresh. read more

Last spring. 2025. The grab n' go items we purchased for a quick lunch were all over 10 days expired. Not edible. Actually gone bad. When I called to let them know I had repeated questions. I kept telling them, Please go check your cooler and look at the dates. There was many more in the cooler. I was not about to drive back another 45 minutes to exchange or replace. We were finally at our destination and there was no leaving again.They gave me a very hard time.Check out about refunding the money they finally refunded the expired rotten items on the third person I talked to. Granted, it's the offseason, but two weeks past the sell by date.... and no prepared on date. The lobster tank pulled at my heartstrings. Charming and picturesque shack on one side of street. Larger interior restaurant on other side. We were doing a 25 mile bike tour of this lovely part of Maine. A perfect lunch stop for us. Small little convenience store/seafood shop. They have everything from wine to beer to coffee to seasonings and normal convenience store things. Where this place really makes it worth the trek is its seafood. They have everything from sushi grade blue tuna to live lobsters that make a delightful lobster roll. We had those lobster rolls and they served on a crispy buttered bread. The lobster was the main attraction here and it was worth it! read more

In Maine, lobster shacks and picnic tables are a part of the food culture, and Graffam Brothers Seafood was as good as its' reputation. While I personally thought the crab roll out shined the lobster roll, that's picking among stars and not debating the quality of either. The service/food truck team was on top of it all despite a large crowd, and the picnic area was spotless, which is normally not the case at many places. We've had this place in our sights for several years but timing never worked out. Until last Saturday. We ate at the food truck area. Cute picnic tables, very friendly, good service. We ordered at the truck and they brought us our lunches. Nice. This is a dog friendly spot so that was appreciated. It's the food that puts us in the category of unlikely to return. Two scallop plates. One with onion rings and one with fries. The heavy crust fell off the scallop when I cut a scallop in half. I was left with a naked scallop and a pile of crust. Muscle was still on a few of the scallops, never appetizing. But biggest issue was the tinny taste of the food. Onion rings also had the heavy coating and tinny taste. I ate a few of each item and left it at that. Done. So very much wanted to like this place. Maybe an off day but it will be a while before we try again. read more

I've went in looking for fresh fish, we got it and then some! The service was very nice and if you ask a question they know the answer. Very clean and beautiful building. We grabbed a roast beef sandwich to share in the car for the drive home. It had Swiss cheese and horseradish on it and I'm mad at myself for sharing. I will drive all the way back there from Thomaston just for that sandwich. We both loved it. Can't wait to try more food. So this is stop #6 on the lobster roll journey! So let's start from the beginning. This place was highly recommend by bed and breakfast we stayed at so we decided to give a try. The haddock sandwich. Well bun or roll it was on tasted fresh made and was just perfect to stand up to the tarter sauce and fried haddock. Fish was fried perfectly and tender. Tarter sauce was simple yet tasty. Fried fresh clams were amazing as always! I have a thing for fresh fried clams... they are just so good. Lobster roll -- let's go negatives first. Bun wasn't toasted much and didn't have that butter flavor as soon as you bite it. Amount of lobster meat was the least we have received on the trip so far of any lobster roll. Positives! Lobster meat was extremely tender. Dressed with the perfect amount of mayo. Butter on the side so i can dip the roll in it made the lobster roll flavor tied for number 1 on the list. If only there was a toasted bun and slightly more lobster it it would have been the king of the mountain thus far! Check them out and see for yourself. read more

Delicious and unexpected options for "grab and go". All food is very fresh, Generous portions at very affordable prices nestled in an area that is not so wallet friendly. It's a fish market with a very good selection of extremely fresh seafood for sale. They do have some tables to sit. Food is served for take out and there are non-seafood options. More detail on the food descriptions... The hot sandwiches in grab and go looked good... breakfast sandwiches, and they had a pastrami rueben on grilled thick Italian bread, like Texas toast style. The bread is also probably the same as the fresh baked loaves they had for sale by the register. They have a menu to order burgers, chicken, subs, etc. The seafood chowder is the best we've ever had... stand a spoon up in it thick! The first bite had a chunk of fresh scallop, followed by fresh chunk of shrimp and had to search through the, of course, fresh haddock to find potato. The entire pint was packed with seafood. Next time we will get a fresh baked loaf of French bread to go with it! The daily special was Sushi! I picked the Tuna Poke bowl from the grab and go shelf. Fresh, crisp veggies lightly pickled over Sushi Rice with 2 types of sesame seeds. Generous servings of all fresh, delicious healthy food! We also picked the fried haddock and fried scallops. Loved the thin, extra crisp breading. The sea scallops were delicious fresh. The haddock was cut very well with large pieces you could still pick up to dip in the tarter sauce. Average seafood and fried food. The seafood shack has different hours than the convenience store even though the names are similar. There are numerous picnic tables available for lunching and a number of them are in the shade. I ordered the tuna melt with sweet potato fries and ate a number of the onion rings that my wife ordered. The tuna melt was also served with coleslaw. The tuna melt was served in the open-face style which made it less messy than usual. The tuna tasted slightly fishy, and the overall flavor was adequate if nothing special. The sweet potato fries and onion rings were unexceptional. The coleslaw was tasty though. Overall, lunch at Graffam Bros Seafood Shack was not bad, but I imagine there are better options nearby. read more

This is a local fish market that also has counter service for lobster rolls and other sandwiches, and very good chowder. Service was quick when we came in winter, not too many people were there but we weren't alone. The store is very bright inside and fun to look around. The lobster tasted very fresh and tender. The roll was good but not as good as McLoon's. Onion rings are pre battered, I think. We didn't eat many of them. I had the seafood chowder and loved it. Lots of clams and haddock. Parking is easy. I really wish Yelp would allow half stars. Graffam brothers was better than 4, but not quite 5. Wife and I were in Maine for a week, and she is a lobster roll fan. We both got them with a side of fries and onion rings. Everything was great. I particularly liked the onion rings. A note about the staff. When we were there, the power had gone out, and they could only take cash. The young lady at the registers was a little flustered, but the manager kept it all together, and they moved some orders! Kudos to them for being able to roll with the punches (beyond the pandemic!) On another note, they had a fellow playing guitar and singing for the crowd. This was a nice touch.
